On the plus side, the food is tasty. On the down side the gluten free portions are smaller. I left still hungry. They have no originality either. They'll serve you oysters, but nothing to enjoy the oysters on! Even something as simple as sliced cucumbers would have worked! Also, they don't understand that Celiac Disease is not an allergy, it's an autoimmune disease. Using incorrect terminology made me feel like I was being belittled/not taken seriously/not understood. Very disappointed with my visit.
Wish I could give this place 0 stars, but I guess they deserve one just because the "food" was safe. Only gf options are salads and a fish dish. I say "food" because the thing on my plate was hardly edible. Absolutely no flavor. Kitchen seems to think that the only way to make something gf is to boil it and don't use any kind of seasoning, not even salt! And totally overpriced for what you get.
Had a baked potato and wedge salad which were both very good and didn’t have any issues (celiac). However the hotel gave us a free appetizer coupon and the waitress instantly got an attitude when it was approached at the check time and the waitress, Kelly even threw our check at us. Extremely rude service and we would not return due to the service but food was ok for celiac.
They have a gluten free menu with a fair number of items. The Caesar salad has no Parmesan cheese, so it is just lettuce and dressing. I had shrimp on top which was tasty. The loaded baked potato was good. The best part was the creme brûlée and the view of the boats. Right on the boardwalk next to water and rides.
When I asked my waiter Rob some detailed questions with the food and prep he got the Executive Chef Sean who personally came out to speak with me, make recommendations since I was Celiac , made sure I didn’t have any other food allergens and took my order himself. I had the Redfish, rice and got fresh fruit with it, and fresh lemons for the fish. I will only eat Wild caught fish so it had been many years since I had fish in a restaurant. I loved it! No reactions. The chef also personally brought my meal to me. I won’t say the chef has time to always do this but I felt real heard, understood , pampered and safe, more so than any other place I’ve ever eaten at as celiac. My family and I were all in awe!
They have a gluten free menu, but our food came out with bread crumbs sprinkled on top. The waiter told me it was cheese and then came back and said sorry it was bread crumbs. They brought us new food and I still ended up getting violently ill the next day. I will not be back ever again
