Really great place! Our server was knowledgeable about celiac disease and they had a separate GF menu. I got the baked chips and guac (which was really fresh) & chicken fajitas. Everything was delicious! They also have great drinks! Highly recommend!

Everything we had was stellar and they knew exactly what was safe and what wasn’t. The grilled tortilla chips were great!!

The staff went above and beyond to ensure the food and drinks I were served were gluten free. The tortilla chips were done on the stove stop so they weren’t super crispy but they were at least gluten free! I got the stuffed Chile Relleno and it was amazing. The margaritas were great too.

When I explained that I was celiac and asked if the restaurant was familiar with celiac disease my waitress told me management takes it very seriously and has a separate cooking space for celiac/gluten free food to avoid cross contamination. They don’t have a celiac safe fryer but the shrimp tacos I had were delicious! I felt very safe and the food was delicious.

Excellent! They were very knowledgeable! The manager came himself to bring the food. They reassured that chef would handle celiac food himself. My kids ate tacos.

This restaurant's claim of having a celiac-friendly menu is nothing but a cruel joke. My friend, who has celiac disease, suffered a severe reaction after dining here. The owner's response was appalling – more concerned about avoiding a lawsuit than the well-being of a customer.
Not only did they provide minimal assistance, offering just one charcoal pill (a red flag in itself that they had them on hand), but the owner displayed an arrogant and dismissive attitude throughout the ordeal. There was no apology, just a blatant disregard for our concerns. To make matters worse, they even had the audacity to bring out a waiver for us to sign!
This experience was not only dangerous but deeply disappointing. It's imperative to steer clear of this establishment if you care about your health and expect even basic levels of customer service and empathy. Your safety and satisfaction are clearly not a priority here.

Loved it. Sat outside the night of a game while Padres fans streamed by. I actually loved the baked chips. My favorite thing anyone ordered was the chicken quesadilla. Staff was very nice about GF.

This place is an absolute must eat for anyone in the area! All of our food was excellent (even the gluten eater’s :) ) and the service was fabulous. Our server was great at explaining things to our daughter who is usually not adventurous with food but decided to be here. The price was very reasonable compared to all of the other California meals we had! I felt like we got a lot of delicious food and it was all carefully made.

A must visit when you come to San Diego! Absolutely phenomenal food and service. They have a dedicated Celiac menu. Manager came out and explained cooking procedures, including dedicated parts of the kitchen for allergies. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Food was delish, and it was SUCH a relief to eat out and not worry about getting sick!

They have a celiac safe menu and actually highlight their high number of reviews from here! Options are chips/guac (didn’t try), tacos, fajitas, quesadilla or Chile relleno. My husband and I split a steak quesadilla and a shrimp Chile relleno, which were both delicious. No reactions. Staff was knowledgeable and entered the order as celiac, too, and staff confirmed celiac safe when they brought the plates to the table.

Very overpriced and not very good food. They were very knowledgeable about celiac and cross-contamination. However, Styrofoam is also gluten-free and much cheaper and comparable in taste to the food that I had.

The gluten free menu is small but they understand celiac here. We shared the guacamole with baked tortilla chips. They were super chewy (almost tasted like they were stale). I then had chicken fajitas for dinner. It was delicious!

From the moment we walked up to the door the staff was helpful and friendly. The host showed us the gf menu, and geeked out over starwars bag with my friend lol. They have a dedicated celiac safe menu and made great recommendations. Was it the best Mexican food I’ve ever had? No. It was good, don’t get me wrong- just could of used a touched more seasoning. It was still delicious and it was SAFE. I also order a watermelon no sugar rush drink. The salt ring overpowered the drink a bit but it was also good. Would go back.

Separate gluten free menu. I ordered three tacos, the carnitas, steak, and shrimp. The carnitas were the best one! The food and service were great, we went just after they opened at 4 and it wasn’t busy. When the order was brought to the table, it was not our server but I assume a manager who said how the tortillas were made separate (not on tortilla press), and the meat and sauces were made separate as well. Highly recommend! My non-celiac husband enjoyed his gluten enchiladas!

Didn't get sick but the food sucked. Had the shrimp fajitas which were way bland..no seasoning on the shrimp at all. The gf Tacos were also bland and didn't travel well for take Our son had the ribeye which I asked for med well..it was med at best leaning toward med rare. Maybe eatting it there it would have been better but for take out i will not do it again. I guess if you are only rating on gf handing they do well but for food taste, I'd do a 1 star

My experience here was so far beyond my expectations in both service and food taste. The manager himself came to our table and made me feel so comfortable about eating here. He even cooked my food! I ate here a few days ago. My fajitas were delicious and they are very knowledgeable about gluten cross contamination. I have a diary allergy as well and unfortunately the celiac guacamole came out with cojita cheese on it. I felt so safe when I ordered that I let my guard down and somehow didn’t notice so started eating it before the waiter noticed and brought me a fresh guacamole. I wish he would have told me right when he noticed instead of waiting for a new one to be prepared. It might have saved me from eating so much and I wouldn’t be so sick right now, but they were good about gluten. I still recommend double checking and verifying everything when they bring it to the table after my experience though.

Our server was so knowledgeable, took great care to ensure a safe meal. Had the celiac tacos with chicken, very hearty portion, tasted great. Guacamole was delicious and baked chips weren’t amazing (chewy/soft and burnt) but a great means to the guac. Would definitely recommend!

Very sensitive celiac here, and I had a great experience! They have a separate (but small) gluten free menu. I asked about the tortilla chips and the waitress explained that they cook them separately, as the fryer would have cross contamination. I got the quesadillas for dinner too and they were tasty. The waitress was knowledgeable and specially said “you want the celiac quesadilla” and not just gluten free. Would def recommend!

Okay. Reviews oversold options. There is a separate gluten free menu that has three options - fajitas, three al la carte tacos, and “chips”. The team though is very knowledgeable. No separate fyer. Gluten free “chips” are toasted tortillas. GF/Non gluten free food mediocre. Not a 5/5 compromise place for a mixed crowd.

I did not like their food, but I didn't get sick either. I called and asked about GF options and she said yes, then I told her I wanted street tacos and she said yes they have those and their GF. Got down there and they don't have street tacos. I don't understand why some places can't be honest... the chicken tacos I got were not good...

Amazing gluten free experience! The hostess asked if we had any allergies, when informed of celiac she sent the manager over who informed us of all their CC protocols - separate grill to heat corn tortillas, all of the meats are grilled on dedicated grill, etc. The manager then checked in after we placed the order to tell us he let the chef know, and delivered it himself confirming it was GF. In addition to being very safe & reassuring, the food was also some of the best I’ve ever had. I had a carnitas quesadilla. The chips aren’t GF (fryer) so they gave us baked tortillas to dip in the salsa. Although they aren’t exactly like chips, they’re very good and perfect for dipping. I visited twice in my three night stay in SD because it was so good! If you have Celiac Disease or are GF this is a must visit in San Diego!
