If you are at the Philadelphia airport, this place is a gem. The chef came out to confirm my allergies (which also includes dairy) and reassured me that the food would be safe. He delivered it personally. I enjoyed a tasty egg, bacon and home fries breakfast with gf rolls. Delicious and, best of all, no adverse reaction!

Large selection of options and... wow! Yummy! When we told the server about my daughter’s “gluten allergy” (we know it’s not an allergy, but it is a means to an end in some situations...).. WOW!.. manager came out to discuss and highlight measures taken to protect her and then when it was served to us the other server explained the extent of care to eliminate the possibility of cross contamination. AMAZING!

Seared tuna with scallops, broccoli and garlic brown rice! AH-mazing!
Mussels... prepared GF separately, gloves changed, etc. to eliminate cross contamination fears. LOVE THIS! (Non-fish GF options as well)
Eggs, bacon was the bomb, and home fries made in a safe frier
Had fried shrimp at 7 am just cause I could!
GF deep fried shrimp and chips. Delicious!
Lobster roll with a GF bun. Very soft and flakey! Delicious!
Here's the whole menu for the PHL location (between terminal B and C).

Lots of options including sandwiches and fried foods. Fish and chips are good - they use chickpea flour which comes across as more of a cornmeal-like texture rather than a batter. Good, but I’ve got gf fish and chips in my city that is more traditional that I prefer. However, I felt very safe - staff was knowledgeable and when food was delivered they let me know they took extra precautions.

Nice to have a breakfast option at an airport. The staff were very knowledgeable about celiac and took it seriously. I had eggs, bacon, and home fries- assured me the frier didn’t have any gluten exposure. The one bummer was they no longer serve any GF toast.

I get to the airport early just to make sure I have time to eat here. They're very attentive and also work with my dairy allergy. I Love Legal Seafood. I'm very sensitive to cross contamination and I've never had a problem here.

Absolutely amazing! They dont use wheat flour on anything here so the fryer is 100% gf. Everything but one item on the breakfast menu can be made gf and the regular lunch and dinner menu is huge! So so good and super safe.

Safe! I didn’t get sick! We shared fried calamari with marinara! I can’t remember the last time I had fried calamari, what a treat. I also ordered the grilled shrimp entree that had a side of jalapeño polenta cakes and a kale salad. Everything was delicious. I will go back.

Gluten free fish and chips! The breading is gluten free. Even the onion strings are gluten free. The breading is relatively low carb also. Great tasting food too!

The menu has plenty of options that can be made gluten-free, and the staff was very knowledgeable. When the food was delivered to me, they assured me that gluten-free precautions had been taken. I ate the shrimp, brown rice, and coleslaw, and it was very delicious. They have gluten-free buns available for their sandwiches, and the breading on fried dishes is made with a chickpea flour.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Almost the whole menu could be GF. A staff member delivered my meal personally and told me the chef ensured there was no CC. I had the salmon avocado BLT and FRIES! An unexpected treat during a long layover! I highly recommend this place!

Staff was extremely knowledgeable about gluten free and other allergies. Had a dedicated fryer. Get the Fisherman’s platter, it is clams, shrimp, calamari, scallops, and whitefish. Tasted just like glutinous fish and chips. Location easy to get to from Alaska gates in Terminal D - a five minute walk. Also, service was very fast. For this, we will make a point to fly into Philly!

Amazing food and service. I always feel like they really get it to ensure no cross contamination. And the food is delicious. While I usually eat dinner (gf fish and chips anyone?) here it is also an awesome location for breakfast early morning in the airport. So much better than cold eggs and bars and the other limited airport gf offerings.

Staff very knowledgeable and helpful. Huge menu if you have a gluten allergy. Even able to handle my gluten , egg, and butter allergy. Definitely felt like I was in good hands. They went completely above and beyond. Best meal I’ve had in awhile. Waitress Ellery M and General Manager five stars. Thank you!

Amazing menu for gluten free! Sitting here now and thrilled... so hard to eat in airports usually!

Happy with my visit. I had a crabmeat sandwich (because it was $10 cheaper than a lobster sandwich). It came on a soft, warm, flaky GF bun. I'm told the fries are safe, but I think they serve some other breaded and fried things. Regular menu is clearly marked with things that are or can be made GF. Much appreciated! Many options. Sandwiches are reasonably priced . (Most are $15-25). Some reviewer said the whole kitchen is GF. That's not true.

First day of our vacation... was promised my 9 year old meal was GF safe... she vomited all the way from Boston to Reykjavik... they DON’T get it and lied about the fact that they did. My poor child is still sick 6 hours later. Furious. Caution or avoid altogether. 0 stars, but in order to post I need to click a damn star apparently 😡

Legal Seafoods tend to be good with allergies most of the time however this location gave me sweet potatoes spiced with ghost pepper after I told them I cannot do any peppers. Did not have a gluten reaction though, just a problem with the peppers.

Great food! I had the oyster po boy on lettuce (no bread offered) with French fries and slaw. Didn’t love the slaw but the fries were good. Manager brings out food announcing allergy. I don't know which location we ate at at the airport but I was assured my meal was 100% gluten free. I even asked about the fries in a designated fryer told the server I have an allergy she assured me I was going to be fine I threw up three times before having to board a plane. I do not recommend this restaurant and I think it's really sad that these restaurants assure you you're fine and really have no idea what you go through if you get sick.

Years ago when fried foods actually had a place in my diet, I had visited other Legal Sea Foods locations and had an okay experience from what I can remember. As a way to close out my wonderful trip to DC, I said “hey, you haven’t had fried fish in about 2 years, why not?” Find me gluten free showed positive notes from other travelers, so I made the decision to try. I ordered the Fish & Chips that came with a side of slaw and house made tartar sauce that they say is GF. I mentioned I had celiac/an allergy and was assured they knew how to handle GF. A manager even brought out the food and confirmed it was prepared GF. I didn’t have any NIMA capsules left, but I proceeded anyway. The food tasted great!...But within an hour of finishing the meal I was keeled over in pain for the duration of my following 2 hour flight. This was without a doubt a glutening. While I don’t doubt they’ve taken great care in preparing GF fried seafood and meals on other occasions, that wasn’t the case today. I suspect that the tartar sauce or slaw is not GF. Lesson learned.

I've eaten at the Lynnfield MA and Peabody MA restaurants and both have no clue what they are doing when it comes to gluten. Yesterday I was served a bowl of mussels with regular bread in it after specifically telling the waiter I had a gluten allergy and even made sure I ordered the gluten free mussels. He just looked at me like a deer caught in headlights when I asked him if the bread was gluten free. He said no but just don't eat the bread (the bread was physically in the bowl with the mussels and broth). There is only one waitress trained in gluten allergies at the Peabody restaurant. How do I know? Because she told my husband and I casually that she was the only staff member who had received their allergy training. I don't care if a restaurant doesn't offer GF options, I just wont eat there. But don't say your giving me something that your not. It's not for a cook or waiter to make decisions about my health. On top of it, food allergies or not, I think Legal Sea Foods is very inconsistent with their food/service quality (I guess it depends on who is working). If your in this area there are tons of seafood restaurants I wouldn't waste my money on this one.

Thank you Legal Seafoods! I have been gluten free for over a year and have never been somewhere so accommodating. I also have issues with many dairy products however butter is fine. I asked if they could heat up the Lemon Kale salad and top it with hot lobster but keep it gluten and dairy free except the butter from the lobster. They were happy to do it and it was an amazing meal! Made me so happy I could cry! It is not fun having food issues and Legal Seafood made it so easy! They have many items they can make gluten free and I want to go back and try more of their other items. The decor at the Framingham location is so nice, very pleasant atmosphere and staff was great!

They have several gluten free options and take it seriously. I’ve eaten here twice now and both times, the manager has brought out my food and specified that it was gluten free and monitored for zero cross-contamination. There’s definitely good reason that this place has so many high reviews! Awful experience. Plenty of open tables, yet a long wait. Clam chowder was watery and very expensive for a small cup and soggy salads (ugh!). The waiter was always standing in the corner on his cell phone, very inattentive to any of his tables. Disappointed as our other Legal Seafood experiences were better at different locations. This was a bad dining experience (food and customer service combined).

Could not speak higher of this place! Received a gluten free bun of my own, separated from everyone else's. I got the fish and chips, which also comes with frizzles, ALL gluten free. I also have a dairy allergy, and they made sure with the kitchen that everything was safe, which it was. Food was delicious, and the manager himself brought out my plate so as not to mix up with my mom's fish and chips, which were not gluten free. I'm extremely sensitive and had no problems after eating here. Can be considered pricey, but isn't everywhere around here?
