I was hesitant at first to eat here because it was my first time ordering gluten free at a restaurant but I do not regret it one bit. I called ahead to see if it would be possible to order gluten free and the host informed me that I could, so I put in my reservation and put in a note that I was gluten free. Almost immediately after sitting down one of the sous chef’s came out to our table to talk to me. He informed me that all of their dressings were gluten free and they are a scratch kitchen so can make most dishes gf. Our waiter was very accommodating and knowledgeable and really helped to make it a great experience. And the best part, I didn’t get sick! Would definitely go back again!
One this I will note it that they cannot make the ziti, lasagna, or ravioli gluten free because those are made beforehand, and the steak sauce and meatballs do have gluten in them. But there are still plenty of options to choose from.
Waiter started off with confidence telling me everything could be made GF, but none of the options I selected were. He was very helpful just disheartening. GF crime brûlée was exciting but bland. Overall I felt safe and didn’t get sick but not a top choice if there are alternatives.
I unfortunately have Celiac disease, so finding safe restaurants can be a challenge. Maggiano's has always prided itself on being extremely careful with cross contamination and has numerous gluten free options. Last Friday (5/25/18) I went out do dinner with my family at this location, which we have done about 10 times in the past year. I didn't finish my meal (GF ziti) so I had the server put it in a take home box. Several days later I went to eat my left overs and found a piece of regular spaghetti in it. For those who haven't eaten at Maggiano's and gotten GF pasta, they only have one type of GF pasta and it isn't spaghetti. This is the SECOND time this has happened at this location in the past 6 months. The previous time the chef and manager came out and really bent over backwards to apologize and told me it was a new employee, etc. They assured me that this would not happen again and that the problem has been corrected. Well now that this has happened again I see that the problem is now a pattern. My family and I really love this restaurant but it just isn't safe. As much as it saddens me I would highly recommend that anyone with a serious gluten allergy or someone with Celiac disease avoid eating at this particular location.
The chef came out and discussed my options, and said he would cook my meal in a separate part of the kitchen. I am also dairy free and they could still accommodate. I’ve eaten at this location 3 times and always been fine. Definitely recommend!
While they don't have a gf menu, the chef came out to discuss what I would like. They have gf penne pasta but I'm also counting calories so I substituted spinach. Very good!
They have always done a wonderful job keeping our food gluten free. The chef always comes out and talked to us about what our options were. Many of the dishes that have some type of noodle can be made gluten free. Haven't ever gotten sick
Great restaurant now has serious commitment to gluten-free customers! They have made a corporate move to gluten-free as the default for most dishes; they even make four kinds of gluten-free pastas fresh in the kitchen! All of their sauces and salad readings are gluten-free and the chef comes out to make sure they take care of you. Only ore-made things like lasagna are off-limits. Finally, a restaurant that gets it!Great food, great service and good value makes this at the very least a go-to place for special occasions. Mangia!
Family get together. There is not a separate GF menu, but they do explain about having GF pasta. I told the waiter I was celiac and the sous chef came to speak with me to make sure he understood my needs, although he was knowledgable. He wanted to make sure that nothing would cause an issue, which for me is super as I am also extremely sensitive to oats. They even had GF dinner rolls! I’m am reviewing a few days later to ensure no reaction to the food, and I am good! It is great to have a place for special occasions where I can actually enjoy eating out.
Very good GF pasta with great service.
They have gluten free pasta, no gluten free bread. I had a wonderful lobster dish with pasta and snap peas.
Server was very knowledgeable about gluten free options and the procedures taken to prevent cross contact
