Maggiano's

The last 2 times I've been here, they screwed up my order and had to remake my food. The chef will come out for show and pretty much just nod if the dish can be made gluten free, but they aren't terribly diligent. Take a close look at your dish and make sure they used the GF penne (pointy and grooved) and not the wheat rigatoni (smooth and cylindrical).

Maggianos has recently been voted #1 for celiac friendly by AllergyEats!! They sent a chef out to talk to me when I informed them of my dietary restriction. The chef explained how they could modify dishes to make them gluten free. The staff was very knowledgeable and I felt taken care of. The food was delicious and exactly what I needed after a long day of working in an unfamiliar city.

This place is awesome. They are so accommodating. Very very nice people. The pasta is to die for!!!!! Don't know about these bad reviews. The chef always comes to our table & have had no problems.

my coworkers and I had lunch to go today. I called and ordered the chicken rustic. when I got there i doubled checked my order and the guy said that it was gluten free. I ate my lunch and afterwards I had an upset stomach with cramping. I went all day feeling horrible, needless to say this will be my last time there.

Was not impressed by this Maggiano's in Houston. The waitress did not have the chef come to my table, which has always been done at their other locations. She said they were "in a thing.". If they were in a thing, then who was cooking?! I should have left at that point but I didn't have any other options nearby, as I was on foot. Waitress was horrible. I asked twice for a straw & never got it, and the restaurant was empty! Food came out wrong and was completely bland & tasteless. Won't be going back to this location ever.

Sadly we had to give this location a one because of unfortunately being gluten'd. We have dined at another Maggiano's dozens of times with no incident and like mentioned below the chef would always come to our table. Here we had to ask and it didn't seem this is what they did, right off the bat I became nervous and sure enough I was feeling sick before we left to go home. We are new to Houston and sadly this location is a one and done for us. If you're Celiac I wouldn't recommend this location, sorry.

Fantastic chicken parm...they just used grilled chicken. We had caprese as an appetizer and it was great. Love this place. My son who has celiac had a big bowl of GF pasta and loved it...he ate every bite.

Great gf pasta selection and lots of attention from management. Very good.

Their "to-go" staff needs some education about gluten, but I never worry about my food. They take it seriously and I have a lot of trust every time I go there.

Beautiful Italian restaurant. My server was very kind and knowledgeable about the Gluten Free options. They don’t have a separate menu or any indications of any dishes being GF on the menu so you rely on your server. She suggested I get the GF Taylor Street Baked Ziti and it was delicious! Definitely coming back here when I get the chance.

This restaurant is amazing and the servers are very professional. I had a work meeting here, and my boss asked for the gluten-free menu( I have Celiac) . They had a separate menu, and they cooked everything separate , with no cross contamination. The manager came and talked to me and read the gluten-free menu.. She was very smart and careful. The food was wonderful, and the cream brulee was so yummy. I didn't get sick at all. 🤩

Even if it’s not nessesarily their nitch, These folks get G-Free & Celiac! And rarely are you going to find such care & consideration at such a classy atmosphere Restaraunt as this!

Dress up or casual… we saw the whole spectrum of customers here. Although, dressing up will really make a special night out here. Wonderful old time dinner music hits from the likes of Sinatra filled the low light pleasant & romantic venue. Once advised of our issues, our waitress Sheena (who, by the way, is a 5-Star Rock Star of a Server!) had the Chef at our table side in minutes, advising us on their abilities & limitations. Way more selection than one might anticipate, although less than we had seen at their Orlando location last year.

The gluten free Panne as Alfredo w/Chicken breast added was exquisite in appearance and taste….even as a next day leftover!!!

While I have never gotten sick at Maggianos in the past my pasta has been undercooked, and they do not offer many gluten free options.
