The waitress couldn’t have been nicer! She asked if there was any allergies at the start of our meal. She told me about the gf pasta and offered that if I wanted anything else, she would get the chef to come and speak with me. As a symptomatic celiac, this made me feel very comfortable. The food was also delicious. Lots of options. Go with an empty tummy!
There is no separate GF menu and GF items are not marked on the menu, but they can modify many items to be GF, and can use GF penne in the pasta dishes. The chef came out to discuss with us, which was reassuring. They say that they make a point of taking food allergies seriously. Food was good and portions were very generous. My one ding was that their wine list was generally overpriced compared to other restaurants.
The staff was great and knew what I could eat. I ate here two nights in a row (I was a conference) and had a great experience with both bartenders. I got pasta both nights (yahoo!) and it was yummy. Definitely recommended for celiacs if you are in town—just make sure you speak up about your allergy!
Love, love, live Maggianos. This location pays attention to detail, we felt safe eating here and everyone loved their food.
The chef came out to take my daughters order (she has celiac disease). We’re planning to go back next weekend.
Also, the wait staff is perfectly attentive, very helpful and super nice.
Who would’ve thought Maggiano’s was able to successfully accommodate someone with Celiac?? Well they can! (At least at this location). I hadn’t been to a Maggiano’s since I was diagnosed and was a little skeptical. But they blew me away. The manager Jake personally went over the options and along with our server Katie, made sure my meal was safe. Caprese appetizer, gf pasta (ALL of their sauces are GF), and even creme brûlée dessert. Perfect meal, absolutely delicious with no reaction. Can not wait to go back!!
I have to say that this is probably one of the best dining experiences I have had since being diagnosed with Celiac two years ago. My waiter(Abraham) was great and told me that the kitchen was prepared and knowledgeable in preparing gluten free food and had a dedicated workspace. He told me the chef would be right out to discuss my order. Eric the chef and I spoke about what I would be ordering and how it would be prepared. I ordered the Taylor Street Pasta with sausage and it was fantastic. Later on Abraham treated my table with creme brûlée (also gluten free ) for dessert. The manager, Charles was also wonderful and very attentive. Great experience. Will go back.
I can't say enough about this place. The chef came out to speak with me personally. She knew I felt excluded as I watched my fiancé devour delicious sourdough with butter so she brought me a complimentary Caprese salad. She said she could make any of the pastas GF for me and it would be made separately. And because it was our first time, we also received complimentary to go meals as well. They were absolutely lovely.
The chef came out of the kitchen and assisted me to order gluten free pasta, appetizer and desert! We will go back, great food.
The chef comes out and speaks with you. They have GF corn pasta. All their sauces are GF and many can be made dairy free if you ask. I do wish they had bread, but they do let you bring it with you.
Fantastic. The server was very knowledgeable about gluten free, but when I mentioned I was also dairy free he brought the chef out to talk to me. The chef ran through all my options with me and ultimately was able to make a delicious chicken piccata. I would definitely go back!
This is the second Maggiano’s I have eaten at in the last 2 months and while my experience was great in Philadelphia, it was even better in Bridgewater. On a busy Saturday night, the lead chef came out to speak with me and told me he would personally be preparing my food. He asked for my order ahead of time so that when it was placed with the waiter, he would already know what I needed. GF pasta is cooked in separate space and all the meat dishes can be made with no breading on a separate grill. The sauces and salad dressings are gluten free as well - the only area that’s lacking is their appetizers as none can be made gluten free, but I just got a bigger salad. Our food took a bit of time to come out because that particular chef was preparing it, but I absolutely didn’t mind at all and it was delicious. All of the wait staff we encountered knew the protocol and they announced the “allergy” meal when they came out. It feels awesome to be able to eat out at a place I would frequent before my diagnosis and we will definitely be back soon!
Waitress assured me they are a scratch kitchen and most dishes could be made gf I had chicken Parmesan. It was pretty good except that the chicken had an artificial grill flavor. It was good but not great just wish they’d have gf bread!! It was good and I’ll eat here again just order something different
