This place was amazing! As a celiac, its been very difficult to find a chinese/Asian restaurant i can trust to be safe - or that has gluten free items at all. This restraunt offered many gf options. My boyfriend and I went as a date, and both our dishes were gluten free. Both dishes were very, very good! I 100% recommend this place, great food, great atmosphere, great safety.
The times that I have been here I have gotten gf fried rice and gf chicken pad Thai...almost all times have been gluten free and tested with NIMA (a gluten sensitivity tester). There was one time when the appetizer tested to contain gluten so exercise caution and talk with chef and servers.
I asked the waitress (Dezzy, she was PHENOMENAL) about GF/celiac policies. She explained that the gf items are marked on the menu, and they are always cooked in a completely different section than the gluten products. It was delicious, and honestly, I don’t think I could’ve told it apart from gluten food. Highly recommend, they have fantastic service and sounds like no risk of CC
Used to go here a lot and was really pleased. It was a constant choice for a friend birthday lots of options and usually very safe.
I mean when I worked at the mall I probably ate here three times a week during the holiday season with no problems and great food.
Went here last week you can tell they are short on staff. My waiter didn’t know what gluten was. Did put my order in correctly it came out on the special plate. I ordered the Chang’s spicy chicken. The sauce was more sour than usually and the chicken not as crispy.
I know there was cross contamination because I was bloated before we were done eating and started having a BM within 30 months of leaving and then my full scope of symptoms later.
They also have alot less menu items than I remember previously as a chain each one is very different. Trust your gut. I should have opted not to order when the waitress seemed off. Their staff training used to be really spot on.
The restaurant was pretty busy, but we had a reservation and notated my having Celiac. Our server was very nice, but service overall was questionable. I ordered Chang’s spicy chicken and by the first taste, I could tell it was off. Very “cakey” - like way too much corn starch? I had ordered the same thing at PF Chang’s in Cincinnati last month and it was amazing and I definitely didn’t get sick. About an hour after I ate last night at the Indy PF Chang’s, I knew I was glutened. I definitely think the staff isn’t properly trained in gluten free protocols at this restaurant. It was a COMPLETELY different feel from the one in Cincinnati. This was my first time at the Indy one in probably 10 years (pre-celiac). I definitely do not recommend, especially if they’re busy.
BEWARE: My daughter went here last week and was glutened terribly. She had the chicken lettuce cups and. spicy chicken and was violently ill several hours later. She had the same meal last month at their Natick location and was fine. Clearly their protocols are not consistent from restaurant to restaurant or it’s just a crapshoot. Either way she will not be going there again which is sad because we have been eating there for many years.
