Great little ‘make your own’ pizza place. They have cauliflower and rice based GF pizzas. The server knew celiac disease and proactively wiped all surfaces, scooped from the bottom and reassured she had many celiacs as clients.
The over is shared, but it’s a conveyor belt type oven and the pizzas go through on their own roster. These are cleaned specially for you (as well as all utensils)
As soon as I chose the gluten free dough, the first question asked was if it was an allergy or preference. I said allergy and they asked if it was severe and should they use toppings from the bottom instead of the stop. I said yes it was severe. They immediately changed gloves, cleaned the entire prep area, grabbed fresh untouched toppings from the back, cleaned the oven area and pizza utensils. I had never seen such an allergy friendly response. And they were happy to do it! Didn't act irritated or inconvenienced. They were so nice and welcoming! And the pizza was absolutely amazing! Probably one of the best if not the best gluten free experiences ever. Usually I sit and hope I don't get cross contaminated and wait to find out but I was completely confident and didn't have any cross contamination symptoms at all. And I have celiac. I will definitely be going there again!
My family has been Gluten Free for 5 years now. Pizza@ has a wonderful process to avoid cross contamination. It was a pleasure to enjoy a yummy pizza without the fear of a bellyache! The fresh ingredients assured me that I was avoiding heartburn too! Clean, friendly, and consistent from experience after experience; the crew is obviously consistently trained.
The business is celiac friendly. They sanitize every surface and use separate pizza trays and gluten free dough plus have gluten free Cauliflower Dough. Has a great reputation. Vegan cheese available as well.
The dough isn’t marked so you can’t tell if you’re actually getting gluten free. Shortly after lunch we knew we did NOT get gluten free 😢
I’m a regular here, and the staff recognizes me and the fact I have celiacs and are already at the ready every time I come in and automatically change gloves and wipe surfaces. I appreciate that they go out of their way to accommodate me and even remember exactly how I like my pizza. They actually took time to understand I have celiacs and that it is severe. Potential cross contamination with toppings with is why I limit to cheese pizza and haven’t had issues.
I don't normally rate non-dedicated facilities as celiac friendly but this one has gone out of their way several times to ensure our dining experience was safe. You must tell them ahead it is a severe allergy. They will clean surfaces, change gloves, and pull toppings from below to prevent cross contamination. They have both gluten free and dairy free pizzas that taste delicious.
The staff was friendly. I’m not sure how this could be celiac friendly though because they change their gloves and wipe the surfaces, yes. But they also grab from the same toppings they grabbed all of the other orders of regular pizza with. So the toppings are 110% cross contaminated. Is it okay to ask them to open all new toppings? Who knows.
