Wonderful gluten free options. Pizza or Calzones probably other options. Very delicious. Waitress knew how important it was when ordering. Very safe

The waitress was completely clueless about gf options. I asked if the chocolate layered cake was gf and her response was “does it say gf on the menu? Then it is”. I waited for 45 minutes just for the waitress to say she forgot what I ordered. The desserts are premade and all she had to do was put it in a bag. Both desserts ordered (key lime pie and the gf chocolate layer cake) were terrible and tasted like freezer burn. I also watched the waitress give a to go order to the wrong customers even though she literally just took the order 10 minutes ago from a different person. It was a pre paid order and the person picking up didn’t pay. She said “oh it’s already paid for”, handed it to the wrong customer and let them go.

I was expecting a typical gf crust - kinda crackery and sad, but this was delicious. Yes, it’s very flat, but the flavor of the crust is the best I’ve had, and the toppings were easy to customize to make sure that the whole pie stayed GF. I highly recommend this if you’ve been missing the gourmet pizza experience. (We we’re at the Biddeford location. In the big old mill building)

We loved our lunch at Portland Pie Co! My 3 year old and I both have Celiac and enjoyed a delicious calzone and pizza-best we’ve ever had! Staff was knowledgeable and took their time with us even though they were slammed. Highly recommend.

Very disappointing experience. I ordered a GF calzone and when it came out I confirmed with the waiter that it was GF. It looked too good to be true and much different than the pictures posted in other reviews. After asking again he showed it to the kitchen and they said they were pretty sure it was GF. I ordered a new one to be sure and it came out looking extremely different. It was difficult to enjoy my meal because I lost any confidence that this would be 100% gluten free.

I ate here last night & the only good thing about it was the pizza. The menu isn’t clearly marked for GF & the service was horrible. I asked the waitress a question I already knew the answer too and when she came back her answer was just stick to the pizza. They have bread listed with their sandwiches but couldn’t answer what sandwiches could/are GF.

I have eaten here twice. Both times the server confirmed I was getting a GF crust and that they noted the gluten allergy to the kitchen. Both times I did NOT get sick. However, I'm writing this review because this is hands down THE BEST pizza crust I have eaten since my diagnosis. Well done Portland Pie Company - only wished I lived in Maine! But will be dining with you every time I visit the state going forward. THANK YOU!

Despite a shared kitchen, I have never had any issues with the GF pizzas here. Their crust is one of the best GF ones I’ve had

Absolutely terrible experience from beginning to end. No dedicated gf menu. Waitress was aggravated by questions. People who came in after us got their food and drink before our cocktails even arrived. Pizza was okay. Nothing special.

Amazing! We came in on a chill night where it wasn’t too busy and got great service. But their gluten free crusts were clearly labeled and they have MORE than one option. I tried the cauliflower crust but they also have a basil crust. You couldn’t even tell it was made from cauliflower (though I don’t mind the taste) it was incredible and the perfect crispiness. I am very celiac and I didn’t get sick at all, the mozzarella didn’t even upset my stomach and the basil was fresh as well as the tasty sauce. 10/10 will come again!

Excellent service and gf pizza. The basil gf dough is yummy. Although it could be more crispy, it's very good. The twice baked potato pizza and steak bomb pizza are incredible.

Wow what a cluster. Called ahead like usual and the person who answered was maybe a little high but talked about separate prep spaces and separate pans for pizza. I get there and the waiter is like wow no way can you eat pizza or calzones here with celiac. I said the person I spoke to via phone said there was a separate prep space and she said people who answer the phone can’t be trusted. Alright then so I ordered a boring salad I didn’t actually want. I flagged down a manager just after ordering. Said I got conflicting info about the safety for celiac. She said “ok” and went to walk away. I continued talking and said the waiter said it wasn’t safe for me to eat pizza there. She said she disagreed citing a separate pizza slicer for GF pizzas but didn’t say much else. I asked why the waiter would say one thing and the person working the phones would say another. She said “I’ll talk to staff about it” and never returned to our table. Beyond disappointed! My salad was fine. Consistent messaging is so key If you have celiac. The manager obviously didn’t give one single crap about whether or not I enjoyed my meal.

Best gluten-free pizza in Portland in my opinion. The dough is soft and chewy. They also have cauliflower crust and gf bread for sandwiches, I haven’t tried either though.

All the GF pizzas and salads are excellent. I've been eating here for a few years and never gotten sick. Non GF family members love it too!

Best gf pizza in New England! I'm from Massachusetts, lived in Connecticut and like to travel. This is by far the best place. even when veggies make the dough soggy it's still delicious. It's just inescapable with veggies.
Had a fabulous gluten free bbq chicken pizza. Server was very helpful. Pizza crust was amazing.

Absolutely LOVE this place! The gluten-free basil dough is amazing! I had a calzone for the first time in 15 years! I added pepperoni to mine. It was packed with flavor and was so big I couldn’t even eat it all. The food comes quick and the service was stellar. Our server gave us honest opinions of the food and helped us ‘travelers’ choose the best menu options.
Have eaten here and gotten take out as a celiac for years and never had any issues until the last 6 months or so. I have tried at least 6 times, thinking it was a fluke contamination issue. Every time I have gotten sick from gluten. Will not continue to buy from here anymore. If you are celiac this is not a safe gf establishment.

Got the GF calzone, I’m celiac and had no issues. Staff was very knowledgeable. Very chill atmosphere and great cocktails.
Yes
They were very attentive on keeping everything gluten free. They mentioned that they have a separate gluten free area, but that cross contamination could happened because of the flour in the air in the kitchen. However this is not any different from any other pizza place. Ordered a salad and a calzone, both were very good.
Yes
Gluten free calzone!? And it’s as delicious as I could ever imagine. Had a great salad too, orchard salad, to try and balance out the totally worthwhile calzone. Server was really nice too.
Excellent food and knowledgable staff. Had a calzone on their custom dough and the wings we had were phenomenal. Highly recommend.
Not safe for celiacs there was told not to go because there's "flour flying everywhere" but appreciate their knowledge and being honest. You can buy their dough and make it yourself safe at home!

Staff adorable et excellent sandwich GF

Outstanding service ! Amazing gluten free food! Calzone was amazing !! The pizza crust is sturdy !
Excellent buffalo wings and calzone. I haven't had a calzone in 6+ years and it was a treat to be able to have one!!!! Note: it was gigantic and I split it with my husband.
I'm gluten intolerant due to gastrointestinal issues, not celiac.
I really like their GF pizza. The crust and sauce are great. I wish they had one in San Antonio, TX!

Terrific pizza! Better gluten free pizza than I have ever had!
Yes
The basil gluten free crust is easily the best gluten free pizza crust I have ever had. You can also buy the dough at local stores to make at home yourself.
Gluten free pizza with any toppings.
Pizza was undercooked and not that great, cheese was also a little weird tasting. I was excited they had a GF option, but I wasn't impressed at all.
Love the option for GF crust and dairy free "cheese". The staff is great, the ambiance is relaxed, and Ive never had any contamination issues. I just find that it isn't my first choice when craving pizza. Definitely a good option, and they have a few locations in the area.
Love that they use daiya dairy/soy free cheese but the GF crust is not my favorite. There are 3 other restaurants in the area that are far superior. We even gave it 3 different chances and decided not to go back.
I would highly recommend Portland Pie Co.! They have a GF crust, in addition to vegan cheese available. This is always a good place to go with friends/family, as they offer lots of 'normal' American food as well! I've been here 3 times over a 6 month period and the quality and product have been reliably the same.
Best GF pizza ever!!! You can buy the crust to take home too :D
best gluten free pizza, and they have dairy free cheese
They make their own gluten free dough for pizzas and everything that goes into their ovens has its own tray.

Ordered a gluten free basil crust. It was NOT gluten free but instead the regular dough. Was told “oops, sorry.” Was sick within 2 hours. Not worth the risk.

Called to ask all the right questions (can items on the gf menu be prepared safely for a celiac). Was told there is a separate prep space and separate oven. Arrived and was told by a different server who also works in the kitchen that there is not a separate prep space and no separate oven. She said the kitchen staff would be careful but that cross contact could happen. We left without ordering. Really frustrating to be told a completely different story on the phone.
