There was only one item marked on the menu as GF which was a pasta dish and you could add chicken to it for a cost of $23. We just wanted an appetizer, not a big meal so I ordered an order of French fries. The waiter assured me they would be made in a dedicated fryer. I did not have any issues after eating them.
Informed server in a highly sensitive celiac, and asked if she would please inform the cook. Ordered a salad with italian dressing I was told was gluten free. Finished 3/4 of my salad and found a crouton. 🙄🤬 Dinner came, assured me 3 time it was gluten free 🙄 I'm currently bloated and nauseous 🤢 I was so hungry, hasn't eaten all day... I'm so sorry I didn't just go hungry and wait for the nearly 3 hour drive home 🤢😭
We were looking for gluten-free on the Riverwalk and vegetarian and found the gluten freeo Anaconda pasta at rain Forest Cafe. The food was surprisingly good and even had vegetables in it would seem to be difficult to find in Texas. Those who are seriously gluten-free beware, they serve a slice of focaccia bread with this allergy friendly meal.
The manager came out and talked to me about my gluten restrictions. She promised they could make sure my food would be safe and prepared separately by the chef himself. It came out wrong 3 times and our whole party of 13 ate while I sat. Would have not been so bad had they not made so many promises. Be very careful. Even when they make it in a separate "yellow allergy ticket". They flopped on this visit!
The manager came to our table to talk about gf options for my son. They also have a gf bun now. We had a great experience!
The chef was so kind and helpful! He personally came to our table to help us. The food was amazing!! Such a fun resturant
No gf menu chef has to come out and talk he doesn't really know what to eat just frustrating and time consuming. A chain this large has no excuse
My kids always want to eat here for their birthdays, and the food is pretty lame, but I have survived on some plain chicken that they grill up for me every time. It's not terrible, but it's not worth the price we pay. But, I go because my kids have a ball and I end up taking the pictures while everyone else eats their huge volcano cake without me. I think they are lame for not having a gluten free menu because it makes me feel like a dork for having the chef come out and talk to me, but at least that ensures I'm not going to get sick.
They need to have a GF menu! Yes, the chef will come to your table but that is time consuming. The server was not very knowledgable at all, recommending the tomato basil wrap. Bread came on my salad anyway. Not impressed.
Amazing and outstanding!
They appear to have very strong allergy protocols. Upon taking our order, the server said the chef would be out to specifically discuss the order - this happened within minutes. Very knowledgeable and we were very impressed.
The food was delivered completely separately to the other members of the dining group.
Dedicated fryer.
An excellent dining experience and we wish every restaurant was this knowledgeable and thorough!
They have two things marked gluten free on the menu but the chef will come to your table and tell you what he can make gluten free for you. I went today and actually was able to eat a cheeseburger with french fries. He said they have a dedicated fryer for french fries. I haven't had a burger and fries at a restaurant in years so I was so happy I did today. I am not sick at all either!
