They do have a separate GF menu. They are somewhat knowledgeable. The initial salad brought out to me included Croutons but they quickly corrected that mistake. I got the steak and shrimp. I didn’t have any issues. Food was okay. Steak was cooked as I asked so that was great.
I ordered the burger as I was suspicious of the pasta and I was happy with my choice! Burger was great and non contaminated fries. Before eating the chef came to my table to ensure me that I was gonna be 100% safe and he made sure he took extra care because of my celiac disease. I did not get sick at all!
I wanted to let you know that the restaurant offers gluten-free options on the menu. I decided to try the anaconda pasta, and it was delicious. However, shortly after leaving the restaurant, I started experiencing stomach pain. I'm not sure if there was cross-contamination or if some of the ingredients in the pasta were not safe for me. I would advise anyone with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity to be cautious when trying their pasta. Additionally, I found that the waiter who served me was not as friendly as the other waiters. Although I mentioned my allergy when making the reservation, the waiter did not inquire about it, so I wasn't sure if she was aware. It would have been better if the staff had communicated with me about my allergy.
There is a gluten free menu on request. I ordered a burger with fries and a gluten free bun. The fries are not cross contaminated. My burger came out with no markings and a suspiciously fluffy bun. Another person in our group ordered a regular burger that looked just like mine. When I asked our waitress if it was gluten free she wasn't sure and had to get someone from the kitchen. They confirmed it was not gluten free and took it back to have it remade. It was a short wait for it to be remade. When it came out again it had a clearly different bun and I was assured by the manager it was gluten free. The manager and someone from the kitchen came out after the meal to apologize for the mix up. They said the incident was unacceptable and that they try to make their restyraunt safe for people with allergies. They ended up taking the burger off the check. It was my first time at a rainforest cafe location, and despite the bad experience with the burger I still enjoyed the atmosphere and I would eat here again.
I went for dinner. There are a couple of options marked as gluten free at the menu. However they can make sandwiches and hamburgers with a gluten free bun.( Not sure about de seasoning). I ordered the China chicken salad. the staff help me making that one gluten free by removing a couple of ingredients.
I'm not sure why other people are saying this is a safe place to eat. Our server was not very helpful and really pushed us to order pasta. I actually wanted a burger without a bun and he mentioned it was too much food with the pasta even though I'd be sharing it all with my son and I thought that was weird. It wasn't a good experience and I would not suggest anybody who has a gluten and allergy or celiac to come here unless you want overpriced boxed pasta.
Food was great a service was fantastic. It is mostly geared towards family, though. The actual menu does not have very many options labelled, but if you ask the servers they can tell you. There is a menu online, but since it is a franchise, they might not be available at all locations.
Amazing dinner! Had the turkey club on a gf bun. Fries are gf and cooked in its own frier. Staff took extra precautions. My meal came separately from all others as the server said their protocol says she can’t even carry a gf dish and a regular meal at the same time. Excellent food and service.
The waitress was very diligent and involved the kitchen staff. They had allergy alerts in the computer system. The celiac aspect came out fine. We also have a dairy sensitivity. When the sibling with that received their sliders with cheese we sent them back. The kitchen response was to pull off the cheese, leaving residue and send it to the table. I involved the manager who was upset with the kitchen , but this messup prompts my lower safety ratings. From a celiac standpoint, gluten free buns, gluten free fries, grilled shrimp, and gluten free pasta with marinara prompted no reactions.
I went here because of the reviews but I did not have the same experience. They had no clue what I was talking about when I was asking for their cross contact protocol. The waitress aid she would send the manager out but he never came. She hesitantly told me that the fries were in a dedicated fryer so I ordered only fries, but felt sick the rest of the day.
Safe. My celiac kiddo got a $10 kids meal with rice pasta spaghetti, French fries, fruit and a icee to drink. The chef handled her order all the way to the table. Staff had great knowledge of celiac & GF contaminant issue. They had a dedicated fryer for the fries and a GF pot for the rice pasta. Really fun place to eat out and we felt very comfortable eating there. Did not get sick. I would 100% recommend for both GF kids & adults.
The hostess asked me about food allergies before she even took our names so that instantly put me a little more at ease. The chef actually came out to our table to talk to me after I told our sever I have celiac disease, he explained to me how everything is prepared separately and safely and that there’s even a dedicated gluten-free fryer! I ordered the quinoa pasta with vegetables, everything tasted great and I had no illness afterwards. I appreciated how helpful everyone was and I only wish more places were this meticulous.
Our visit here was FANTASTIC!!! The chef and kitchen manager came out to make sure I knew exactly what I could eat, and the list was extensive. They said that they can make most items on the menu gf. I highly recommend dining here. My husband was so happy that they take gf dining so seriously that he hugged the kitchen manager.
Chef came out to talk to me and modified my meal to fit my gluten free requirements. Very impressed. Also asked me if I had another allergies.
The chef that was making my food came out and informed me what was safe to eat. they did a wonderful job making sure my meal was gluten free. I had the BBQ ribs and they were amazing!! The have a separate fryer for tortilla chips and French fries. I am definitely coming back !!!
great place not much on the menu but didn't get glutened so that makes me happy
Second visit and both times food has been great. Very reassuring that the Chef comes to the table to ensure there is no confusion.
Food was just ok. The manager did come out to take my order though and radioed back to the kitchen to see what would work For me, which was nice. My order went in on a special "pink slip" looking form, so it would stand out in the kitchen, and they brought my food out separately to avoid cross contamination with other food for our table on the tray. View off the balcony was great and my kids loved it.
We ask the waitress about GF options. She was nice but not knowledgable. She suggested the chicken. She went back a couple times to the kitchen. One chef on duty so manager came over. Both of them had asked if we were celiac. I responded no but we do not eat anything that has gluten in it. The manager mentioned his daughter was celiac. He was helpful but the menu was light with options for our kids. We ordered hotdogs-no buns, steamed veggies, french fries using a dedicated GF fryer and two of the china chopped chicken salad. We were assured this was a GF option. Even the dressing and rice noodles. They delivered our salads with a huge piece of bread on the top of the salad and the hot dogs came snuggled in their buns. We sent the hotdogs back. Partly out of principal. The manager returned with new plates-no buns. We ate and paid...the bill was 70+ dollars! Btw just waters..no drinks. 30 minutes later soar thoughts and headaches. Normally if we have a small amount of hidden Gluten or trace amount we are ok. Not this time-We got glutenized. I cant help think of what a disaster it would have been if we were celiac. Sad that perhaps it wasn't as important to avoid cc because we weren't. The feedback from manager was they are working in GF menu and GF noodle sub for thinks like pasta and mac n cheese. Lets hope a higher level of GF training for staff and kitchen come with it.
They don't actually have a gluten free menu but they have the chef come to the table. He and I discussed options and we settled on a flat iron steak, grilled shrimp and mashed potatoes. They offered me a flourless chocolate cake and a GF cheesecake for dessert but I was full so I didn't try them. The food & service was really good.
Chef came out and spoke to me himself. He told me everything I can have and made me feel very comfortable with his knowledge. They also have a designated fryer! Yay! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger (it came to me as a burger without a bun but that's okay!) and French fries. It was huge and delicious. I was too full for dessert but they have three options. The chef said the creme brûlée is the best. Anyways. Definitely recommend. Great experience
Very friendly staff, kitchen manager came out and went over my wife's allergies and made 3 visits to table, first class place
Very disappointed! We have ate at the Seattle rain forest cafe with no problems and exceptional service. Vegas rainforest disappointed big time last night. When the chef came out he didn't help at all, he just kept saying what do u want and then shot down anything I did want. The kids were given hamburgers wrapped in lettuce and very few fries and charged 10.00 for a kids plate that my kids did not like. When we tasted the kids burgers they had no seasoning, dry hockey pucks and one was raw! The server never came around at all. All in all very disappointed.
After reading some reviews of other folks, we decided to check out the Rainforest Cafe when we arrived to the hotel. It was a long trip and we just wanted to get something in our belly that wasn't a fortune. I've eaten here previously prior to my celiac diagnosis and had decent food so I was confident they would be able to provide me with a meal to suit my needs.
We ate at the bar because there was a 20 minute wait for a table in the dining room. The manager was behind the bar and said the chef would come out and make me whatever I wanted after I explained to him about celiac disease and gluten.
25 minutes later, the manager was gone and the chef never came out to check on me. So I just decided to order a salad and tell them the obvious, no croutons and no bread.
The salad came out with bread on the side of the plate so my sister just took it and ended up eating it. I picked the lettuce off of the salad where the bread had been just in case.
The salad was just okay. Nothing to write home about. I didn't end up sick afterwards or feeling sick so I guess that's all that really matters. It is getting tiring of always settling for something just to stay safe.
I don't think I could recommend this restaurant for my Pretty Little Celiacs.
They were so attentive to my gluten free request. The food was good & I went back twice on my trip for breakfast & dinner.
The server mentioned that there were two celiac bartenders who eat there frequently. My food came late and she said it was because they put glutened fries on my plate, so she watched them like a hawk the second time and I had a wonderful sandwich on a GF bun, no CC and no consequences! They also said they can bake fries so they’re 100% free of CC. If you ask what items you can have, the servers are very knowledgeable (there’s more than just the pasta!) Can’t wait to go back sometime!
Great experience! The chef came and spoke with me about what I wanted. He wrote my order on a special sheet. They have a gluten sensitive menu upon request. I got the the Rainforest Burger. It was pretty decent all things considered. Not the biggest fan of the frites but they give you a good amount of food and it definitely fills you up.
I looked up their menu in advance to be sure they had GF options. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich on a GF bun, no sauce (which has gluten). They offered to bake the fries but I’m not celiac and don’t normally have cross contamination issues. So I didn’t request that. But it’s two hours later and I definitely got glutened.
