They mixed up my order. I’m pretty sure they gave me my husband‘s gluten bun at the Hulen mall location. They gave him the gluten-free bun. I was sick for literally six months with debilitating celiac symptoms! I should have known that bun tasted too good to be true. I figured it out before the meal was finished but the damage was done as one bite is enough to make me ill.
Sorry red robin you get a one. A one you might ask...even though we have a gluten free hamburger bun and a dedicated fryer. Well first your gf buns are always hard. Somebody always leaves them in the microwave or something too long. Sorry but thats on yall. The other one is I got some fries when my son and I visited. They tasted like fish. Then when I mentioned it to the server, he said rather unalarmed, "well somebody must have taken the basket from the other fryer and used it" Cue my i cant believe he just said that the way he did face...wow! This place used to be my go to place for burgers...not anymore! If your gf isnt comsistent, then it is the same as no gf. I just go to in n out or if i have extra money go to five guys. Then i take the food home and grill my own gf bun.
Red Robin has gluten-free buns for their burgers. Many locations also have dedicated fryers for gluten free-fries. Please verify with your server.
No go! Our waiter seemed very put out to simply get the menu. Bun in burger was hard and they cook with soybean oil!!! Mixed information from waiters and management. My son became seriously ill, so I called back and it was the soybean oil and not having a dedicated fryer. Handing me an allergen book doesn't make it allergy friendly. Service was also horrible and incredibly expensive. -Hulen - Red Robin
The day I was told to go on Gluten free diet we ate from Red Robin. The woman who took my order was awesome. They even have GF buns.
Served my gf turkey burger on reg bun! Be careful! If it tastes too good to be true- then it is!
Server was uneducated about celiac. Manager offered to ensure safety. manager neglected to supervise and a kitchen staff member brought my food out not marked. I was not able to confidently eat the food as it passed through too many hands and communication breakdowns. Will not return as a celiac.
Was there just recently. We’re seated where we could see kitchen/waitress area. Ordered gluten free fries and burger. I saw it come up from the kitchen. It comes out and it is not a gf bun. Waitress takes it back and tells them it needs to be on a gf bun. Couldn’t see the kitchen work area but burger came up very quick. I believe they just swapped the burger to a different bun. I told the waitress what I saw and told her I wanted it made completely over. She argued a bit but had them remake my order. Not impressed. Will NOT be going back to this location.
They did have GF items on the menu but only a few. Our service person, although gets it, seemed like didn’t want to be held liable for any reactions. The majority of GF items were sauces. Be cautious remember it’s a chain and one big kitchen. PS this RR venue did not have dedicated fryer
So disappointed. I thought I could trust Red Robin, I have for years. I checked the allergen menu and very carefully ordered the Scorpion burger with modifications, gluten free bun and fresh jalapenos. My server asked if it was for allergy and I said yes. Burger arrived with battered deep-fried jalapenos which I didn't notice until they crunched in my mouth. They remade the order.
