Family experience, lots of kids and grands. Adequate food. Diner experience. Was able to order GF ribs with 2 side; no side effects. Once a yearbis fine.

They do have a separate GF menu. Just watch for the section "may come in contact..." First I ordered the Nachos Grande, the waitress came back after the cook told her the house made tortilla chip is cook in a shared fryer. She took the time to go over the GF menu with me again and I choose the Texas Burger, which is mostly the same ingredients as the nachos. It was delicious with a side salad. There are a variety of options to choose from the GF menu, from beef to chicken to seafood and several side items.

They have a separate gluten-free menu. And the staff seem to know about gluten. But we were a little uneasy with some of the choices because of the possibility of cross-contamination in their kitchen without a dedicated prep space. Might try non fried fish or a salad but not brave enough to venture too far menu wise. Despite that haven’t had an issue in the one time we went treading lightly. Might work in a pinch.

The wait staff was great but management was not. we had a large party and they would not accommodate pushing tables together so we could sit together. ended up with two bills and upset kids. some policy about not moving tables.
Food was ok. not a huge selection, but i didn't get sick (celiac). Seared tuna salad. it was tasty, not a huge portion, but enough.

Separate gluten free menu, but for dish descriptions, had to cross reference main menu. Not a breadth of options - salads, bun-free burgers, couple chicken options. No GF items on kids menu so my daughter (also celiac) had to split something with me. Went with Santa Fe Chicken; chicken was tough and the toppings were nothing special. Waitstaff not knowledgeable and not eager to go check for definitive answers (lots of “that should be fine”). Do not recommend.

They have a gluten free menu that lists items that DO NOT come in contact with gluten in the kitchen and then a list of items that are GF, but may come into contact. There are a decent number of things to pick from for dinner!
Very few options for celiac child. Must order online for pickup. There is a option for gluten free on some of the meats offered on the menu

When I first arrived, I told the waitress about my allergy and she got me a menu and double checked with the kitchen on their precautions and what would be safe. They have a separate gluten free menu that has a lot of options on it. The majority of it guarantees that it can be made gluten free and there is also a small box that includes things that are gluten free with a risk of contamination. They do not have gluten free buns or a dedicated frier but there are plenty of other sides options. I ordered a cheeseburger with no bun and a loaded baked potato. I have Celiac and am very allergic and did not get sick. The food tasted great too!!

Having recently moved to North Carolina, finding a GF routine has been a bit of a struggle. I found this restaurant here and saw that it had a complete Gluten Free menu, and had been rated fairly high by other users. I have never been so disappointed in my life. First off, it was not our table waitress' fault, completely, however we did not have a pleasant experience. Upon being seated, I immediately disclosed hat I had Celiac Disease and would like to see their Gluten Free menu. The menu, itself, has quite a bit to choose from, and when I placed my order, I again reminded her it was off of the gluten free menu, and recited the instructions off of the menu (ie no croutons, unseasoned, etc) and when the meal came out there was a nice warm, buttery roll placed on top of the food. Mind you, it was brought out by a different woman, and when I told her that I had my issues and could not have any touch the bread, and politely sent it back. The woman (not our waitress) rudely snatched the plate and 30 seconds later brought out a plate, sans the bread. When I asked if she just took the bread off, as opposed to having a new meal made, she replied with a snarky tone saying "yes it's new." Well, it wasn't and upon informing our waitress of the situation, who was incredibly friendly and accommodating, asked the kitchen staff what happened, and lo and behold, they did not prep a new meal. They ended up taking it off of the bill, however, I am still disappointed in the overall attitude and disdain the kitchen staff held, and feel that if one is going to work in the food and service industry, he or she should be more courteous to those who have allergies, disorders, and diseases as they would to anyone else; furthermore, if it kills you to smile, then you should reconsider working in an industry that requires human interaction.

I've been here a few times while in the area. They do not have a dedicated fryer as previously mentioned in other reviews. But what they do offer is good. They have a decent sized GF menu in the restaurant. The servers and manager have always been very helpful and make sure everything is safe for me to eat! Will definitely go back!
They had a GF restaurant and I trusted the reviews that mentioned a dedicated fryer, as the server wasn't super knowledgeable. They did specifically key in Gluten issue on the ticket, which I appreciated. Had potato skins, which I was very happy with (haven't had them in FOREVER). Would eat here again, were I in the area.
With today's gluten free options, Rucker Johns offers only bare minimum. Nothing special by far and obviously the wait staff do not communicate.
Yes
Gluten free menu at the restaurant, and honestly, most things you would expect to be gluten free are gluten free, so there's a pretty big selection. They have a dedicated fryer, so their fries (which are delicious) are GF as well. While the waitstaff was not extremely knowledgeable, they were more than happy to ask the kitchen staff about things.
Though they don't have the gluten free menu online, they do have one in the restaurant!!!
