Lots of great options and very accommodating for allergies. They took a scoop out of the back for me, and were aware of what allergens were in which ice cream. Also, it was delicious ice cream :)
Lots of GF options, check online for ingredients. I asked for a clean scoop and they offered to also scoop from a fresh pint. Very friendly and accommodating, and delicious!
Super friendly and when I asked him to get a clean scoop he offered to open a sealed pint and scoop from that with a fresh spoon. Ice cream was fresh. I’ve cream was DELICIOUS.

We had the Vegan Peanut butter caramel brittle amazingness. So full of flavor. The staff was very knowledgeable about allergies and took the time to go over the ingredients. 10/10
reiterating what another reviewer already said - they are very cautious when you inform them of any allergy. they check their cheat sheet for each flavor you want to sample, and then once you’ve picked your flavor they will either use a fresh “allergy scoop” or just go all the way to the back to scoop it from an unused tub. really appreciate the care and attention to detail. super kind and helpful staff too! not to mention the ice cream is fabulous. do yourself a favor and get some ice cream here!!! there is no clear indication on the menu of what’s GF (it’s sort of the obvious cookie dough/brownie/etc type flavors that aren’t) but have no fear, they will make sure a flavor is safe before handing you a sample.
Staff are very knowledgeable and proactively ask about allergies and cross contamination. Allergen information is easily available, and if you indicate that cross contamination is an issue, they scoop your ice cream from special containers in the back.

Amazing IceCream! They have lots of unique flavors and they know which are safe and not safe for celiac disease. Probably the most impressive thing was since the tubs have cross contamination, the server opened small pints even just so I could try a flavor. I felt so safe and loved the ice cream
Loved our experience at Salt & Straw. staff knew exactly what was gluten free and asked if we were concerned about cross contamination. When we mentioned we were she told us she would change her gloves and grab a scoop from a fresh quart in the back.
To avoid cross contamination, they will take a fresh pint from the freezer and scoop in the back.
This ice cream shop had 4 gluten free flavors! Three of those flavors are also vegan! I had peanut butter brittle caramel ice cream and it was DELICIOUS! The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten as well.
Horrible!! Told them I have celiac/gluten allergy and was told by server that he will “allergy scoop” from the back. Ordered 2 flavors and was given one correct flavor and one incorrect flavor, which was chocolate brownie fudge… I went in an told the server who apologized, offered to recoup, which I declined obviously, and gave me a coupon for a free scoop “next time”. Don’t recommend. The flavor I did try before I noticed was delicious though.
