How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Good

On Quality & Quantity

I stopped in during the end of their “Brunch” menu today and started with a bread basket which was soft and delicious. Then I had the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich and my friend had the New York Strip Steak Sandwich. Both were tasty. I particularly enjoyed the pine nut pesto. It’s on the pricier side and they only accept AMEX or cash so be sure you have one or the other ahead of time.

Absolutely amazing food. Just be ready for the big price tag. Portion sizes were fine for one person per meal. They only take cash and American Express, but also have an ATM to withdraw from.

Be Advised Cash only!! The GF bread came to our table was the best GF bread I have ever had!!! Everything is GF!!! Lots of options. I got the Caesar Salad, It tasted like all anchovy’s, way too much for me and the two people with me. Probably the worst Caesar salad I have ever had.lol. Got mushroom ravioli, that was to die for. The best Ravioli I have ever Had!!!!!! Aside from salad and not knowing it was cash only I would give them 5 stars.

Great to find a GF restaurant on holiday! This was a great find and the portion sizes are very generous. Yes, it is pricey but it is expected and the food was tasty; I was paying for peace of mind primarily. The area in which we sat was a bit ‘cozy’ but you could zone out before long. I hope this app can find me some similar places back home in London! Lovely service and would go out of my way to find Senza Gluten again.

Delicious. The restaurant is entirely gluten free. The wait staff is lovely and the menu is varied. Not cheap - but I felt the meal worth the price.

I noticed in other reviews that high prices are complained about. I also noticed a menu posted with all the prices outside the door before entering this “high rent NYC building”. Your educated decision to dine here no reason to post complaints because no one forced you through the door. 😳 This is a must go to restaurant in NYC. Worried about the costs of dining in NYC maybe consider making dinner at home.😎 What a find, it’s completely safe because it’s entirely gluten-free! Chicken Parmesan, rigatoni with Bolognese sauce, lasagna, tiramisu, and down the street less than 100 yards is their small bakery/ restaurant. Scones, Pound cakes, Muffins, eclairs all unbelievably delicious. Can’t wait to go back again.👍

Second time being here, my fiancé decided to surprise me with a trip to NYC for my birthday and this place was the cherry on top! Not only is everything safe, but delicious. I can’t remember the last time I had so many options in a restaurant! Can’t wait to share with my celiac family!

The staff were super caring and the entire menu is gluten free. I enjoyed my meal immensely! The food is a bit on the pricey side, but it definitely more than makes up in the quality of the dishes! If you are still hungry afterwards, they also have a bakery run by the same company about 0.1 miles away from the restaurant as well. I definitely recommend Senza Gluten!

Everything in the restaurant is GF so safe for Celiacs, and nice to have the peace of mind that everything is safe from cross contamination. Service was very good and atmosphere was cozy. But the food was slightly overpriced for the quality/area.

Even though it was gluten free I thought the food was bland and the tables too cramped. We had a toddler in our group as we were eating early and it wasn’t a good place for him to be. The high chair felt in the way and there were no baby changing facilities...but maybe that’s normal. Besides that I thought the food/taste didn’t justify the price. Our server was friendly and helpful though. Will not return again.

This was our first visit. My daughter has celiac disease, so for her to have an entire restaurant to eat safely was amazing. First, the food - we ordered a bread basket, two Ceasars salads, chicken Parmesan, penne ala pomodoro, fettuccini bolognese and vegetable lasagna. The food was good. Portions were decent size, pasta was a little more al-dente than even I like and the sauces were not as developed as I would like. We all added lots of fresh ground pepper and Parmesan cheese. Prices were on point for GF in NYC, but because they only take Amex and cash, I was carrying A LOT of cash around in NYC (dinner for 4) - which made me nervous and made the meal less enjoyable. It was a particularly warm night in NYC and the restaurant was sweltering hot. I had to step outside to stop sweating at one point. As is typical in NYC, the restaurant was tiny and packed tightly with tables (and people). It was dark and seemed nicely decorated. All the servers had an accent to make it feel more authentic. Bottom line - my daughter had a nice (and safe) meal and did not get sick. Would we return? Maybe after we get an Amex card.

Overall great experience! So happy that there are places like this for people with celiac. I’m not sure what is more amazing: that they can charge $26 for a calamari appetizer or that I wasn’t even that upset about it. I was happy to be able to order it safely, so not that bothered by the price. Very good food, great service, great atmosphere. I may even bring my non-celiac family and friends here.

I would not recommend this place, nor would I go back. Over priced even for Manhattan! We spent 120$ on just two dishes (fettuccine & filet) and a glass of wine, and cheap wine at that. The pasta tasted like it was out of a box, the sauce from a can, and my husband’s teeny tiny filet was completely over done. I can’t believe this place was so hyped and I genuinely hope you don’t go there and waste your money. Go to Keste and get yourself a delicious meal for a third of the price. Seriously.

It breaks my heart to leave a negative review because the place is adorable with an old New York vibe, great neighborhood and of course, gluten free. I ate there and didn't get sick at all. However, the food is expensive and their sauce is mindblowingly bad. I was in utter shock at how bad it was :( Straight out of a can, no salt, no flavor and WATERY. I'm still so shocked at how bad. Gluten or dairy has nothing to do with a good red sauce, so I just don't get it. All of this being said, I might give them another try and just avoid the sauce? I don't know...

Excellent tiramisu. Otherwise the food is ordinary and bland. Like unsalted. Watered down flavor. It’s also not modern Italian food it’s like Olive Garden style, everything drenched in marinara sauce. All of this would be forgivable if it was Olive Garden prices but omg the prices are astronomical, there are too many gluten free options around that are much better.

The first time I visited this restaurant they managed to feed myself and my family within 30 minutes, providing excellent service (they were fully booked but fit us in between bookings). That was a few years ago. Tonight I came back to experience a more "regular" evening and it did not disappoint, was just as good as it was those years ago. When I come back to this city, I'll be making reservations again!

Today I was in the city and came on this app to see where I could eat. Turns out this gem was right around the corner from where I was. It was absolutely delicious and I was so excited to go to my first dedicated GF restaurant. They brought fresh bread for the table which was so good I had to get a second round to go. For dinner I had their chicken parm and pasta. It was so nice to order a favorite dish of mine from before having to go GF. And last but not least I had the most delicious tiramisu. They also have amazing sangria by the way! The restaurant is a little pricey but for the portions you get and how great the food was it was so worth it. I’m already looking forward to my next city trip so I can come back!

Amazing place. It's so nice to eat a meal at an Italian restaurant and not worry at all about gluten. The ambiance is incredible for both the indoor and outdoor seating. My wife and I shared the eggplant appetizer, which was excellent. I had the salmon special - also amazing to be able to order a "special" - and it was outstanding. The desserts were great as well. I would go back in a second.
