While it is completely safe, it is honestly not that good. The $24 lasagna was worse than the microwave kind. Maybe I just ordered poorly, but I'm not that picky yet I feel it was definitely not worth the price. I am unlikely to eat there again.

This dedicated GF facility has some amazing options! I went in for a snack and got the red velvet cake and eclair. Both we spectacular!!! I would up getting extra eclairs to enjoy while here on vacation. 4 stars because it was a little pricy. We had 5 items for $45 and one of them was a tiny piece of pound cake.

The staff was knowledgeable and pleasant. Portions were very small and prices were crazy high. $4.50 for a small bread basket - enough for one person. Won’t be returning

I'm so-so about this place . On one hand , it was great to be able to order and not worry about anything . On the other hand, the service was pretty ordinary, and while the food was good, it wasn't great - and I kind of expected a bit more for the price. I liked it but I didn't love it .

Please note that they only take cash or American Express. Went for dinner while on a business trip and had to get up and leave after having started to order. Can’t comment on food obviously.

This place was Celiac safe and pretty tasty. However, I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price unless you just really want to sit down to a nice dinner at a small, candlelit place where you’re paying for the atmosphere. As a meal, it was good but not like $30 per entree good.

What a treat! I almost never go out for Italian food because of cross contamination fears but I had total peace of mind here. Also, I can't eat dairy which can be depressing in an Italian restaurant but my meal was absolutely delicious and I didn't feel I was missing out on anything. Charming and romantic ambiance, helpful staff, great menu.

Great meal and so relieved to have a safe meal from a dedicated GF restaurant before the NYC marathon! Make reservations, it’s a small place.

I literally walk 11 miles to get to Senza and it was worth every step. The best GF and also dairy free options I have ever experienced. The atmosphere is outstanding like you have been transported to a small town somewhere in Italy. Wait staff are outstanding and very willing to make suggestions. Most importantly for me I loved being able to eat real food that tastes like real food. All GF’ers will know exactly what I am saying.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal and the service was excellent. The chef is incredible. Every bite was delicious. And every table within eat shot was raving about their meals. We have never tasted pasta, breads, cakes etc made 100% in a gluten free environment that tasted better than the real deal. Romantic cozy environment. We’re telling everyone about it. Would go every day if we lived in the city. And they have a bakery just down the block! We bought muffins, cake and baguettes for breakfast the next day that were to die for. My husband has celiac disease and it’s almost impossible to find a restaurant that can provide a completely gluten free meal but this place is over the top. Bravo!

Impossible to praise this restaurant enough. The menu states everything is 100% gluten free AND no gluten-containing ingredients are used on their kitchen. For the first time in close to ten years I was able to have calamari and tiramisu! Highly recommend. Suggest making a reservation during peak dinner hours.

One stars only because it’s a dedicated food space. Other than that IT IS NOT WORTH IT. From the seater to my check, you could tell they didn’t care about anyone. The food was alright but nothing you can’t make at home. My garlic fettuccine came in what looked like pasta water.

Authentic Italian atmosphere and menu with delicious food! Highly recommend especially since everything is gluten free! Don’t forget to drop into their bakery just down the road to takeaway some sweet treats. It’s also a cafe with a great casual menu.

Giving 4 stars for the fact it’s a dedicated gf restaurant. Absolutely worth it for the large menu selection! However, the atmosphere was odd and friends pancakes were still raw dough in the center. Staff seemed like they didn’t really want to be there. Again, full selection and my food was great but wouldn’t choose it if there were other options

Very professional staff in a completely gf restaurant. This Italian food is the best I’ve had since living in Italy - the authentic Italian ownership shows! I had spaghetti vongole and meringue with strawberries. Delicious and a needed safe reprieve for celiac!

I appreciate having so many options but I had 3 courses and they were each just a little off. The soup was ok, the salad was bland, and the eggplant just begged for salt. The server who was very nice wasn’t super present and spoke so quietly that I had to ask him 3 Times to repeat what he had brought me as it was very different than the menu description (and I couldn’t hear him)

What is there to say? GF Italian. A short cab ride from the theatre. The chicken parmigiana was delish. The spaghetti was also pretty good. The lasagna was one of the best I’ve tasted, GF or not. They have a good selection of drinks though their beer options are limited. The Bloody Mary is a must. Oh, and they have vanilla ice cream that tastes like ice cold vanilla bean cake batter. If you don’t get that you’re missing out.

Since its GF status is not in question, this is a comment on what to expect. It deserves 5 stars for celic safe, but given all the hype we didn't love it. Dessert menu, bar selection, and location are the best features. Steak and chicken dishes were good but penne was disappointing and bread basket was underwhelming. Glad we tried it but there are plenty of equally safe celiac safe places in nyc.

muy bien. todo sin.gluten. muy buena la pasta. calcula unos 25 dolares por plato de pasta y no aceptan visa, lo que es un inconviente para mi, aunque lo raro es que tienen un cajero dentro del local para estos casos. sin wifi

I was really excited to try this restaurant but all together I was rather disappointed. The restaurant only takes discover or cash, they do have an ATM downstairs but it charges you 2.50 and only lets you take a minimum of 200 at a time (which for the city is kind of ridiculous). The wait staff doesn’t get any form of discount on the food there, which I believe is kind of scummy. How are you supposed to ask for recommendation? Oh and the place kind of smelled like cat pee. I think it’s hard enough to be gluten free, so why would I want to go to a place that is overpriced and run rather scummy.

New cafe and bakery that Senza Gluten opened up. Great for breakfast brunch and lunch, even though it is open late as well. I had the ham & cheese quiche which was amazing, as well as an almond orange ricotta cake slice and an almond milk iced latte.

I will always rate gluten free highly as a celiac BUT it’s time we also rate good quality. We deserve it. My veal Milanese was awful. The mushroom bruschetta was pretty good. The arugula and Parm in top of the veal seemed fresh. But the veal was an overlooked mess that tasted like pork. I find Bistango better and I still feel safe. Disappointed given the hype. Imho

This restaurant was an AMAZING restaurant! Visited with two other friends who are non celiac and they kept stating how good the food was, forget the fact that it was gluten free. By far one of the best restaurant I have visited and the first I have visited that is COMPLETELY GLUTEN FREE. The entire menu is gluten free and nothing else. it is a smaller more intimate restaurant and a bit pricey but who cares when you can eat a restaurant, order whatever you want and have the peace of mind that you won’t get sick. The only thing that was “negative” was they only accept cash or American Express.

Then for my meal I had the Margherita flat bread pizza.. wow! Soo good!! Waiter was great and knowledgeable about allergies, I have a cows milk allergy as well.. so he brought us vegan bread, definitely go here!! Celiac safe!!!!

I was so thrilled to find a very traditional Italian Restaurant that has a completely gluten free menu. Everything is made to order and is absolutely delicious. I would have very much liked to give this restaurant 5 stars however there were three reasons why I reduced it to 3. First and foremost the staff was extremely snobbish and rude and the waiter argued with me when I informed him that they had brought me the wrong dish. Secondly, I was very gassy after my meal and I wonder if it was in fact totally gluten free. Lastly, there is a very low entry into the basement where the bathroom is. I am not a tall lady and I almost hit beam with my head so please anyone who uses the bathroom here walk slowly and with caution and know that you will probably need to duck.

Food definitely was 100% GF. Did NOT get sick. They even have a sign on the door that says to not bring in any outside food or drink to keep the gluten out. Beautiful atmosphere and cozy restaurant. We got the Chicken Parm and it was pretty good. The only reasons we gave this a 4 Star was due to the fact that this establishment ONLY accepts CASH AND AMERICAN EXPRESS and the staff need to be more mindful of typical restaurant etiquette. Other than that we loved it and would recommend it.
