Love that it has gluten free foods clearly marked. Shrimp and grits were delicious. I also loved the charbroiled oysters and escargot. Also had room for a gluten free chocolate cake. I'm docking off a star cause service was okay. Not bad, but not great. They seemed unwilling to modify anything. It was a pretty busy night during happy hour. I will still come back for the shrimp and grits. I'm so glad we came here!

The shrimp and grits were great. I loved the high energy atmosphere too.
Three years later we’re still enjoying Superior Seafood. One of the managers has a wife who is celiac so he is on top of things. During my last visit I learned that they have a separate fryer for french fries. I will definitely be having them next time.

This place was amazing! The service was great and the server was very knowledgeable. There are several items marked GF (or can be made GF) on the menu. The shrimp risotto was the best mean I've had in a really long time.

When being sat I asked the host of the gf items were on the menu or if there was a separate menu. He asked if I was just GF or Celiac. He said his wife is celiac and explained the menu and opions to me before even sitting down. The GF menu online is outdated as what I wanted was no longer an option. However, I really enjoyed my Filet and creamy mashed potatos.

Best meal of 2022. Our server was very knowledgeable & attentive to ensuring my meal was celiac safe, the ambiance was cool (loved the music), and the food was soooo delish. Our table started with the gf version of their Oysters Superior (and yes, they ARE superior!), and then I ordered the Shrimp Andouille Brochettes, which may be the very best dish I have ever eaten anywhere. It was amazing. My husband, who is not celiac, agreed it was off-the-charts delicious. For dessert, I ordered the Flourless Chocolate Cake, which was a worthy finale. I totally enjoyed this meal & will definitely return on my next trip to NOLA!!!

Server was very knowledgeable about the menu and food allergies. He helped me select a safe and delicious gluten and dairy free meal. I thoroughly enjoyed the raw oysters and blackened grouper with asparagus. No gluten free beer here, so I recommend a glass of wine with your meal. Cheers!

Had the Shrimp and grits and it was amazing. Also tried the shrimp risotto as well and it was great. No GF fried foods but there were options. No GF bread or rolls. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I am Celiac and had no reaction.

This place is absolutely amazing, the menu says which items are gluten free and vegan. I ordered the avocado appetizer with crab (stuffed avocado) it was so delicious. Then when I went to order my entree I ordered something that could be made gluten free. When it came my waiter forgot to tell the chef I had celiac so it had bread on it. I reminded her and she brought it back to the kitchen, I was nervous they would just take the bread off and give it back to me. But the manager of the place came out to apologize, he told me that his wife of 15 years has celiac so he made sure when we started working here that most of the menu was gluten free and celiac friendly. His name is Joe, so if you go here and have any questions about gluten free options/ what can be made gluten free, he is your man! He was so helpful and told me that he sometimes keeps Udi’s bread around for people. I HIGHLY recommend this place all of the food and drinks were delicious and it was a great atmosphere.

The food is fantastic, and they had an incredible gluten free menu. Our waiter was extremely knowledgable. I will go back every chance I get! This is the best gluten free menu I have seen in all of the greater New Orleans area.

I was stunned by how many GF options they have! All but 1 of the seafood entrees is GF, as well as quite a few apps, salads and steaks.

So to start off... this place was phenomenal as far as the food goes. I ordered a scallop dish with vegetables and it was fantastic AND they have gluten free desserts! They do seem knowledgeable of celiac but it was so loud and busy when we went that it was hard to communicate with them. The waiter was very kind and understanding though. They have a lot of items marked GF on the menu and the ones that are marked GF* are items that can be made gluten free so be sure to communicate with the waiter.
Now, the downside is... I do think I was glutened here. It may have been a slight amount of CC because I didn’t get extremely sick. We ordered charbroiled oysters for the table as an appetizer. It seems like that may have been a risky move based off of other reviews I’ve seen since so I think that was most likely was the culprit! But I would still recommend this restaurant based off of the knowledgeable staff and the amount of gluten free options. I would just maybe try to go when they’re a little less busy so you can talk to your waiter about your needs. I didn’t do a good job about articulating my needs in regards to CC because I was a bit overwhelmed.

This place has a bunch of GF options that are clearly indicated on the menu, and the staff know their stuff. I could also sit at the bar and drink frozen French 75s all day.

It kills me to give less than 5 stars because of how good the food is, but my wife was glutened here last night. We have been here twice, the staff was always knowledgeable, and the food was phenomenal, so the glutening was a real disappointment. We came during busy hours, so that may have contributed. We ordered the charbroiled oysters (the likely culprit), blackened trout with corn and mashed potatoes, scallops, and creme brûlée. Everything we ordered with the exception of the oysters were gluten free, but per the waitress, the oysters needed some slight modification- which probably didn’t happen. The reality is any non-dedicated place, despite attempts to be accommodating, carries some risk and that applies here as well.
Amazing, most menus items were gluten free. Grilled oysters, shrimp risotto were fabulous
Great place to eat! Many GF options and not just the typical pork chop and grilled fish! I had a grilled shrimp salad with apples, blue cheese, tomatoes, candied pecans and pepper jelly vinaigrette. Delicious! Tried a friends stuffed shrimp brochettes. Again- delicious! Fun atmosphere and convenient right along the St. Charles trolley line. No separate menu but regular menu clearly marked with GF and GF* meaning ability to modify to GF
I was glutened here :( I had the steak (avoided the sauce) and Crème brûlée. Also no more gf chocolate cake, so disappointed :( great happy hour deals here though
All gluten free options were clearly marked on the menu & the waitstaff was knowledgeable about options. The food was absolutely incredible. I had the chicken with the crawfish cream sauce and mashed potatoes. They also have a gluten free flourless chocolate cake for dessert that melts in your mouth! I have celiacs and did not get sick... plus the food was flavorful and delicious!

Their shrimp and grits are amazing!

Fresh oysters and a labeled gf menu. Lots of excellent gf options and staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Felt 100% safe here. Will go back!

I go here quite often with my friends for happy hour. Everything is marked clearly on the menu and they even have a separate fryer for fries so they’re celiac safe
Yes
The staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and the gluten free items. Frozen mojito was really good also. I will definitely be going back!!!
Yes
Ask for the gluten free menu. There are numerous options including vegetarian options not listed, so ask your server. Yum frozen mojitos.
Yes
Our waiter was excellent, knowledgeable and attentive and our food was delicious.
The staff was very helpful and there were a lot of GF options on the menu. However, the Nima sensor showed gluten in all parts of my mom’s meal! Celiac safety here will just depend on how sensitive you are to cross contamination. My mom got extremely ill the next day.

AMAZING food, I enjoyed every bite. The chocolate cake is delicious. Two thumbs up

Most entrees are GF and mgmt and staff are very aware and careful.

Definitely a must stop at restaurant when you are in New Orleans. Their menu is marked with what is gluten free. They had quite a few dishes to choose from. I love their Louisiana Shrimp and Grits. Save room for their gluten free chocolate cake!!

Try a Pimm’s cup, best cocktail ever. AND the food was yummy too.
Lots of GF options. Good food and great ambience! It's gets super busy so make a reservation.
Yes
Excellent food. Servers always check ingredients with chef, who was aware that soy sauce contained gluten even without my prompting. Always willing to alter food preparations to be gluten free.
Yes
This was the top of my experience in New Orleans. Amazing oysters, frozen drinks, and the shrimp and grits made my GF night. They were so educated and friendly. The piano music set the atmosphere and a walk through the garden district after, you couldn't ask for better.
Service was incredible. Got the stuffed shrimp and flourless chocolate cake. Cake was wonderful and they even sang happy birthday and comped the cake!

They had a gf menu and when I mentioned this, it turned out our waiter's wife has celiac so he was more than accommodating! We had a nice experience here.
I can't say enough about just how good this experience was! Atmosphere, wait staff, and FOOD!! Handed a GF menu, staff was SUPER knowledgeable and the food was a great representation of what New Orleans has to offer. I had the grilled oysters, bacon wrapped shrimp and flourless chocolate cake. It was the BEST way to end our trip to NOLA! I only wish we were staying longer so we could come back tomorrow :)

My kids were excited by all of the delicious options on the gluten free menu. They tried several items including the bacon wrapped scallop appetizer, filet mignon, shrimp andouille brochettes, and the flourless chocolate cake. Everything was cooked perfectly and there was literally nothing left on their plates. Our server was knowledgeable and luckily pointed out that the fries are not prepared in a dedicated fryer and should not have been on the menu. He planned to discuss this issue with the general manager to make sure the menu was corrected. We substituted grits without a problem. Although expensive, the portions are generous and the food is delicious! We would absolutely return when we visit NOLA again.
Yes
Gluten free menu (but not the same as the one that was shown on line). They also offered takeout. I strongly recommend the flouless chocolate cake. It was much lighter and fluffier than flour less cakes that I've had before.
Yes
Nice gf menu, had the BBQ shrimp which was delicious and grilled salmon salad. Dessert options too. Highly recommend

Loved this restaurant. They now have a GF menu. We arrived during Happy Hour so house wine $3.00/ glass and oysters on the half shell $0.50! We asked about crawfish. It was our lucky day because it was the first catch of the season so they brought us samples and taught us how to eat them. They were well with going back for.

I absolutely love this restaurant. Just ask for the gluten free menu at the hostess stand. There are lots of options and they are all delicious. My favorites are the chargrilled oysters, risotto, shrimp brochettes, and BBQ shrimp. Great dessert options too!
Yes
Fabulous meal with several GF options (had the bacon wrapped andouille shrimp) including flourless chocolate cake for dessert.
Great food, server could have been nicer. Seemed put off by my questions.
The grilled fish was delicious!

The food was delicious. The service was great. The gluten free menu has good variety. We went there twice on our trip and had great experiences both times.

Very helpful staff! Our server was so helpful and did not hesitate to forward all of our questions to the chef. We had the raw and the charbroiled oysters and they were both delicious! I also had the redfish with lemon thyme beurre blanc and it was delicious! We will definitely be back for the crawfish boil!
Yes
Love the flourless chocolate cake! The grilled shrimp is good. Also has a gluten free menu.
