Absolutely fantastic gluten free bun & fries (dedicated fryer)! Didn’t get sick & waitress was knowledgeable
Amazing real from scratch food!!!! Huge gluten free menu. I had the best burger I've ever had in my life. Their buns are both gluten and dairy free. Fries were safe! Would eat here again and again!
What a find!! Delicious and attentive to celiac needs! No problems experienced and you could have fries!
Separate GF menu. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great GF food options.
Slight eye roll from server as we sat at a table that wasn’t cleaned yet (no host/hostess for seating, waited about five minutes at the end of lunch rush and sat at bar, asked bartender we could sit at table). Redeemed by great gluten feee options and no cross contamination! Great meal, excellent service and GREAT attention to detail.
The waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten allergy. My son is anaphylactic allergic to wheat and his burger patty was cooked on top of foil and the restaurant has a dedicated gluten free fryer for French fries. All of our meals were excellent!
Food was amazing. Not only do they have a dedicated fryer but the bison burger was top notch. Fries delicious plenty of choices and Denise was a fabulous server. Highly recommended.
Best chicken ever! They are so accommodating of gluten allergies! Ask for Brad as your server!
Love this place!!!! Kathy the waitress was awesome! Took excellent care of us. The head chief (Lindsey) LJ even came out and we had a long talk. Her roommate also has celiac so she already knew all about it. I would recommend going here for for sure!! The food was so good. Love the French fries!!
Love this place! The waitstaff was kind (no eye rolls) and knowledgeable about gluten. Had the bison burger on a gf bun, fries, and a chocolate shake. It was all delicious! I WILL be back!
Very Celiac friendly! They have a dedicated fryer for GF. The staff is very knowledgeable.
Great gluten free options. The burgers are amazing! separate fryers for the fries and housemade chips. Lots of options.
Food is delicious, and they take celiac very seriously. seperate fryer for fries, robust GF menu and servers are really knowledgeable.
What a great meal! They have a GF menu and as others have said they take Celiac seriously. I had a delicious bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions on a GF bun that didn't fall apart. Couldn't eat it all, so I had the rest for dinner. Fries from a dedicated fryer. Our server was incredibly pleasant. Just a very positive experience all around.
So good! Tons of choices and food is fresh & delicious.
Excellent Bison burger!! Had mine bunless, Swiss cheese and mushrooms. Delish! Great gf menu. Reasonable lunch prices.
GF menu. Tasty burgers. GF buns that are great. I always tell them how sensitive I am and I have never had a problem. Also I love the milkshakes!
Their gluten free menu is so plentiful, and everything was delicious! I didn't feel deprived or left out whatsoever. Very satisfied!
It shows $$ but these are some pricey burgers. That said, they offer bison, etc, so call it upscale burgers. They do have a GF bun ($1 up charge, on a $14 burger?), but didn't have GF bun for the sliders :-(.
I love this place best food no matter what you order!!!
Server paid special attention to ensuring I had a fully gluten free meal. I partially ordered off their gluten free menu but they were willing to accommodate. Excellent petite filet with garlic mashed and asparagus.
Good GF menu and the bison filet is awesome. One of my GF faves.
Our waitress (Amanda) was extremely friendly, and willing to help out. She knew a lot about the menu and the ingredients. She was able to inform us on which items would work for my wife who has Celiac and a Corn allergy, and made sure that the meal was cooked safely, with no cross contamination. Their Gluten free buns are delicious, and are made from rice flour, so they are both Gluten AND corn free, which is rare.
In light of the poor review, I wanted to post another positive one. I work near here and have eaten at this location probably 25-50 times. I’m a sensitive celiac and have not really had any problems here. Like any place a celiac goes, you have to be constantly vigilant. Several years ago, I used to get the Big Sky salad and they messed it up and put croutons on it. I caught it and they fixed it. I always let the server know that it’s for a medical reason and I get good attention. GF bun is the best here!
The bison burger was amazing. Gluten free menu. Had gluten free buns.
I have Celiac's and have never become sick from eating here. All of their food is great. Love their burgers... The combinations are so interesting and good! Plus I can eat the fries since their oil is just for the fries and nothing else. I already come her on every work trip to Jacksonville.
I went here based on other good reviews. The restaurant was not busy and we waited forever for our food, which was expensive and not that good. I just ordered a gf burger and salad. Fries are not gluten free. It was definitely not that good, especially for a $15 burger and sucky service.
I’m currently here. They have a separate gf menu & take gf folks seriously. They have a separate fryer for their fries. The steak & fryers were delicious. We each ordered the Parmesan broccoli & it tasted funny. When we said something we were told it’s cooked together in the same broiler as the salmon. I hate seafood which is why it tasted funny. My husband who likes seafood didn’t like it either. You can ask for it to be cooked separately. A little pricey but worth it. If I get sick, I’ll change my rating.
As soon as I told our waitress I was gluten intolerant, she immediately marked my entire order as a gluten allergy, so it would be safely prepared. I ordered a bubbles spicy burger with a loaded baked potato and ice cream for dessert. (Just fyi they do have a gluten free bun, but I have not tried it) I always appreciate when the wait staff is patient and double checks my order with the chef to avoid gluten or any cross contaminating.
Safe choice, good food, great atmosphere. Burgers cooked on a separate GF cooktop, GF udi’s buns, dedicated fryer for the french fries (the fries were so good!), lots of GF sides. No celiac issues after for me.
If I can give it zero stars I would. I am not sensitive to cross contamination, but I do have celiac disease. They fed me wheat and told me it wasn't, and I went home that night and had a seizure from how much gluten they fed me. DO NOT eat here with celiac disease or any intolerance.
Went with a party of 5 with 2 gluten-sensitive kids for lunch and another 2 with severe allergies and had such a great experience, long story short we went back for dinner. Both times the waitstaff were very knowledgeable and even volunteered what was GF and what was not. GF buns reported tasty and no one got sick after either meal. We had burgers and very fresh salmon which were excellent. Kids menu includes options like cedar plank salmon, grilled chicken and sirloin. Sliders are the burger option on the kids menu and when my son ordered a gf bun, the server said she’d request the smaller sliders be switched to one larger patty to fit the gf bun. Fries and chips are GF (but not dip that accompanies chips). So accommodating. Quality and service were excellent.
I have other food intolerances in addition to gluten so I had to do a bit of a custom order. As a side, I opted for a salad and it still had croutons on it, so I don’t think the staff is all that knowledgeable unless you’re micromanaging every little step. I didn’t eat the salad and had no reaction from the rest of the meal.
Overall, the food was quite tasty, and I’d rate it higher except for multiple snafus, both gluten-related and not. The waiter, who was new, was unaware that there was a GF menu, as it had said on this app, so I found it on their website and showed it to him. (He was otherwise wonderful and attentive.) However: my steak arrived wearing a large glutinous roll like a crown. :-/ I also can’t have dairy, or potatoes, and I’m pretty sure the asparagus was buttered, not oiled, as it tasted deliciously buttery. I had ordered a sweet potato in lieu of regular, but after about an hour went by and no food, they came back and said they just wouldn’t get done. Then, they said they had run out of my companion’s order, crab cakes. After an hour. No, seriously. They comped our meals, and gave us coupons, which did make it all okay...but “gluten-risky” is how I would rate this place. The waiter conveyed the appropriate info to the line, and yet. The roll. Sigh.
Extremely good, despite the limited gluten free options! Our server Maggie was very friendly and helpful, making our first night in New York memorable. The Avalon burger with chicken and gluten free toasted bun was so good! Highly recommend and reasonable priced for New York!
Dear Dennis, 5 star review for sure. Our servers professionalism and attention to detail blew us away. She made me feel confident and comfortable that my order was safe and correct. Furthermore, my husband is doing a Whole 30 diet (no dairy, gluten, sugar) and she made ordering not only easy but was well. Seperate GF menu. Brought my food out first and acknowledged is prepped GF.
I have had a buffalo burger on their gluten free bun and a regular beef burger on another occasion and French fries. Order your burger a little more done than you'd like as they tend to cook a little on the rare side. Tip: order medium well for a medium cooked burger. Did not have any gluten reaction for either visit.
Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. GF buns are heated separate from the others and the fries are GF too. The food is great and always freshly cooked to order. I'll be back again!
The gluten free menu is 2 full pages of options. This was so exciting for me. Since going gluten free almost 12 weeks ago, I’ve not seen so many options. The burger was great with the gluten free bun. My family thought food was wonderful as well. However, the waiter wrote himself in an extra tip so I won’t be going back.
This location doesn't get it. Ordered gluten free items off the gluten free menu. Plate showed up with a roll on it! Saw way too much of the sausage making sitting at the bar by the kitchen. There's no way there isn't cross contamination. Cooks never changed their gloves once in an hour. Sent mine back and observed them replating the same food that had touched the roll. The waiter was flabbergasted when I told him that I expected the entire thing to be re done. Still had diarrhea afterwards.
