I had another fantastic meal here last night! When I asked for a gf menu my waiter asked specifically if I had celiac. Their staff is well trained. Gf menu is always brought by a manager who asks if you have any questions about how they prepare their food. The gf menu is huge and has plenty of options. I’ve eaten here numerous times and each time I’ve been able to eat safely. Highly recommend

BEWARE- unsafe menu/staff needs more training for a celiac! Chose based on this app and their large GF menu. Turns out much of the menu was actually unsafe! Upon questioning, they have a shared fryer, which is no problem, since I typically avoid fried foods. The GF menu was large, with many options. I alerted them to my gluten allergy when making our reservation, when arriving, and again when our server came to introduce herself. Fortunately, I had a few questions about menu items, because in asking, realizes that many of the dishes on the GF menu were actually unsafe as prepared. Our waitress had to keep going back to double check if spices/sauces were GF, and they either didn’t know or said they looked and the container said ‘may contain gluten.’ At one point the chef came out to answer the questions directly and assured me that the shrimp would be safe, as they only used butter and a sauce that was labeled gluten free, so I ordered that, as well as a salad. I specifically double checked with the server who double checked that the salad was on the GF menu (without specifications like some had, such as ‘without croutons’). I took a bite of the salad and it was delicious, but I found tortilla strips in it, which were not advertised/alerted. I asked the server to make sure they were GF, and she asked the manager, who came over in a panic and told me they were not. Then he went to double check with the chef who said the strips themselves were gf, but they were fried in the fryer ‘with all the breaded stuff.’ I expressed my disappointment and concern, as I was so careful in ordering. They apologized and brought me a salad without tortilla strips, and it was still delicious. My shrimp were terrible- and I’m not a very picky eater. They were so dry and overdone that they were chewy and rubbery, and they had absolutely no flavor at all. I ate it, though, because I didn’t want to be a bother since I knew they already felt bad about the mixup. I assumed they would comp my meal because of their mistake, as I explained to them that I could likely spend my whole vacation sick because of this. I went outside with the kids, and when the rest of the family returned, they reported that nothing had been done- not even a small discount for their mistake. The rest of the family enjoyed their food, but I certainly WOULD NOT trust them with a food allergy.

This location is excellent for gluten free. They are knowledgeable and I always feel comfortable eating here. The other locations in Knoxville, Kodak are terrible and NOT celiac friendly!

Fantastic experience! I can’t believe it hasn’t been reviewed yet. The manager delivered the GF menu so that he could go over what was celiac safe and what was GF due to lifestyle choice. The waitress explained that the computer screen in the kitchen alerts the kitchen manager and staff when there is an “allergy” so the management know where there needs to be extra precautions. I had the Tamale Cakes as an appetizer and the Tenderloin Salad for my meal - both were fresh and excellent. This was also a very reasonable priced restaurant compared to some of the other meals we had around Pigeon Forge. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Probably does better than ANY place in town in terms of taking it seriously and being nice about it (reassurance and understanding instead of attitude). Just ask for the GF menu when you are seated, they even have certain staff that have extra training to handle it properly.

Let the staff know I have Celiac Disease. Emphasized the importance of it. Ordered my food and again reminded them to please make sure it’s GF. I asked what dressings were GF and someone from the kitchen came out and let me know my options. The salad comes out and it had a crouton in it. I sent it back. The server apologized. I got a new salad and it also had a crouton in it. I sent it back again and told them I would just pass on the salad. The best part is they still charged me for the salad. If you are a Celiac do not eat here.

Do not go. Told them specifically about my allergy multiple times. Salad came out with a rogue rice noodle. Watched them make the salad, they didn’t wear gloves. Said they did. Server then tried to convince me the rice noodles are gluten free even though on the menu it states they are not gf. This place is not worth the risk!

Has a GF menu. The staff is very accommodating to allergies and will make sure your meal is good for you. My food was great and the attention to my allergies was reassuring!

ate lunch here with a friend who is also GF and the manager made the point to come by mention that the fryer is not a dedicated one. After I ordered the Santa Fe salad, she came by again and said the salad has tortilla strips on it that could be cross contaminated, would I need the salad to be made without them. I said yes because am very sensitive. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and has reasonable prices. Wait staff and manager knowledgeable. Wish they offered GF buns and pasta. It would certainly give more options.

After asking for a gluten free menu, telling my waitress, and talking to the manager, I was served a salad with gluten rice noodles on it. Then two people with me got steaks cooked wrong after having to send back all of our drinks because they were wrong. Then after being served my steak and eaten half of it, the manager came to take it away from me because they had seasoned it containing gluten. Yes, I got very sick. Being sick when on vacation when you took all precautions is not fun. I would NOT recommend this place.

Thought plain house salad would be safest. Told them up front to mark it gluten free and if they could change gloves. Waiter came out carrying bread in one hand salad in other. This was red flag 1. Salad had a small piece of fried chicken on it. This was red flag 2. Sent it back the manager assured me she'd make it herself. I ate half the salad and I got sick. Do not recommend.

We had an exceptional meal. I find these places easy dietarily. Great steak. The waitress wasn't very knowledgable about gluten free food but happily ran back to the chef with questions

Although they have gluten free menu server was not as familiar with celiac and food allergies as she should have been. I've been very sick for three days since eating there probably from cross contamination. Will not go back. Very disheartening because chop house use to have very high standards.

We were in from out of town and thought we'd try somewhere new, what a waste of time. Yes, they have a GF menu but all the meats read 'no seasoning' should read 'no flavor'. Sirloin was dry and bland; baked potato was dry even loaded with butter and sour cream. I'd rather go to Longhorn. :(

I haven't been here in a long time. The one time I went with a large group and was told that I could have a steak and veggies but no seasoning, sauces or any flavoring basically.

Service is outstanding and the food is delicious! The manager came to my table to discuss the way their gluten free items are handled. Very personable and very worth a visit. I'm gluten intolerant, and had no problem.
