The Counter

The staff acted like they knew about gluten-free and they even handed me a menu. 5 minutes after eating a few bites burger though, I was ill in the bathroom. Never will go back- previous reviews led me astray :(

I’ve eaten here a few times and never gotten sick. It is pretty straightforward what is gluten free on the menu. Dedicated fryer. Knowledgeable staff.

They asked us as we walked in we wanted a gluten free or vegan menu. The gf menu listed all the options separately (including sides and shakes). They removed all the guess work, it was so easy

Delicious food. Responsive to celiac needs. I can write celiac right on my order! The server always says she will point it out to the chef. I've never had any negative reactions.

Gluten free menu. Dedicated fryer gluten free sweet potato fries. Great food. Have eaten here many times and felt great after. Staff really nice.

Always a treat! My fav is the chili cheese fries and spiked milkshake with titos tequila. The kitchen manger knows everything that is safe and they make everything from scratch!

My celiac hubby ate here off the GF menu, loved it and didn't get sick. Our non-celiac kids also loved it, so it's great for the whole family.

We eat here all the time. They have gluten free buns and bread. Awesome gluten free menu - actually one of the best I've ever seen!

We love their milkshakes, chili, burgers, and sandwiches. My favorite meal is the banana split milkshake, sweet potato fries and gf grilled cheese. Yum!!!!!!

We are moving from California to Idaho. On our trip to purchase our home, we went to the Counter for lunch with our real estate agent. It was awesome! The servers were quite versed on the gluten free and inquired about the extent of sensitivity and said all items were isolated to try to prevent cross contamination. It was so good, my husband and I went back again the next day!

The organic bison burger was fantastic and the shoe string fries are the BEST anywhere! Irregular burgers are great too, but the bison burger is also organic. The gluten-free buns are delicious. They are so good about accommodating gluten allergy. Love the selection on the menu and all the toppings. Super clean food and taste the best. Service was great oh and they dropped their prices a lot so it's much more reasonably priced than it used to be. They have a full bar and the vibe is great. It's a keeper.

Never had a reaction at this location. They have a gluten free menu and a dedicated fries fryer. You can make custom burgers and salads. Their gluten free buns aren’t the best, they fall apart easily, but it is pretty hard to find a safe burger joint so I don’t mind too much. Just place your order for a gluten allergy and make sure you double confirm everything will be cooked on clean/ separate surfaces.

Update 2024: The last 3 times I’ve eaten her or gotten to-go I have gotten sick so I won’t be coming back again. I’m not sure what changed as I order the same things and communicate the same needs/requests as before.

They are so amazing with celiac disease. Just let them know. They avoid contamination. They have a dedicated fryer that's on all the time now. Easily the safest burger you'll have.
