I’ve been eating here for years and they have been great!

Been here a number of times and never had any issues. The Turkey Burger is really good. They hv dedicated fryers for the fries.

They will take care of you here. They have a separate area of the kitchen to make the GF items. They also have a separate fryer so you can eat regular fries or sweet potato fries! Great service and a full bar.

It is the best hamburger place I have ever been too. Gluten free with high quality food. I love their create a burger—best ever
Some places make such a big deal out of accommodating people with special dietary needs, it’s nice when you find a place that gets it right. Gluten free buns for their delicious build your own burgers, tons of topping options, vegan burger and cheese options, and a dedicated gluten free fryer. I had a delicious bison burger on gluten free bun with goat cheese, onion, grilled pineapple, bacon, and avocado with a side of sweet potato fries. Best meal I’ve had in a long time and was not made to feel like it was any problem to accommodate my needs.

My daughter and I both have celiac disease. we ate here safely and our server was very proactive in being cautious for us. I feel safe eating here again.
THEY are amazing and they are celiac friendly yay
Yes
We very much enjoy eating there, they understand what gluten-free is. They offer gluten-free buns and options.
I have CD. I requested and received the Gluten-free menu. I ordered a GF sandwich and made sure they knew it was the GF version.
When I received the sandwich, I asked again if it was GF because it looked like regular bread- The waiter assured me that it was.
It was not. I got sick shortly after I began eating.
They blamed the business of the restaurant on the kitchen and waiter's error. While they were highly apologetic, what if I had an allergy instead of CD? Never going back.

great place for a Newby to this gluten free thing like me

Great food that's carefully prepared

One of the best gluten-free burgers we have run across. My wife has gluten tolerance issues among others and has been missing a good burger, with bun, and fries. We have been getting by with her getting a bunless burger from In-N-Out. The lettuce wrap drips grease and just does not give the same experience as having buns. Most places have bland or just bad gluten-free buns. This place delivered a great meal, burger and fries that taste like a good normal meal. This is a rare find and one my wife value greatly.

Separate gluten free menu. Separate fryer and preparation areas.

I absolutely LOVE this place! The food is amazing and they prepare GF menu items on separate surfaces. I've never had a reaction from eating there. It is a bit pricey there, but the quality of food and peace of mind that I won't have a gluten reaction is well worth the cost!
Yes
Knowledgeable staff and clear menu choices for the gluten intolerant. Quality of the buns better than the typical supermarket gluten-free brands.

Delicious safe food for a fair price... leave stuffed and happy every time

Everything is outstanding, but especially the dedicated frier fries. SO GOOD. decent GF bun and good awareness by the wait staff, too!

We have eaten here a few times. Food is excellent. They have a separate fryer to cook the french fries. Gluten free buns and my daughter and husband who have Celiac are fine after eating here.
They have a great veggie club and I sub for the GF bun! It's amazing with the sweet potato fries. One of my favorite spots in Walnut Creek for some GF lunch
they rely on manufacture's statements and Fda guidelines rather that what is safe. after lots of discussion and written instructions, the wait staff talked the kitchen through my order - which arrived with grill marks anyway. DO NOT get seasoning on your fries!!!! the manager was apologetic, and I appreciated it. still, I wouldn't eat at this chain ever again unless they went 100% dedicated facility. I was trying to be nice to an accommodating friend who found the place, and my table mates were pretty uncomfortable. I doubt I'll be eating out with them ever again.

The waiter here was amazing! They told me they would do mine in a separate saute pan so it never touched the grill! He understood celiac disease and food allergies! He stressed to the kitchen the importance of my order (I could overhear it). Could handle the dairy allergy as well.
Bonus: Udi's Gluten Free Buns!

Fantastic fries and burgers

This place was awesome! The staff were extremely friendly and gave me a well laid out allergen menu, clearly identifying items containing gluten. I have not been able to have a gourmet burger WITH a bun in forever! The bun itself was very good too. Sometimes I find it very difficult to find gluten free bread products that don't make me sad... They have a separate fryer, so I was able to have french fries too, which were delicious! I will definitely come back. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because my burger with the gf bun an two add ons was $11.00. Other than the price --AMAZING!
Build a burger has option gluten free bun very easy and everyone liked it.
It's really great to go here if you are GF and others in your party are not. The fries are just great and it is so unusual to be able to have French fries in a restaurant that I almost go there just for that. You can have a bun, or not. Extensive selection of GF condiments and spreads. If only the milkshakes were GF it would be close to perfect for a GF burger place.
Enjoyed a great burger on a GF bun with fries cooked in a separate fryer. they have a great allergy menu which breaks down all food by a host of allergies. Really tasty, GF and more. Thanks The Counter.
Who even needs a roll? Just load on the toppings and get it in a bowl of fresh organic greens? Most spreads are gluten free. They have a guide to help you navigate through!

They have a completely separate gf menu and vegan menu. Staff was knowledgeable and the fryer is gluten free for fries. I saw another review that says they aren't gf fryers but that's not the case so far as I can tell. Maybe they changed it... either way, I am a very sensitive celiac and didn't have any problems!

So the reviews were mixed but I went here last night to take a chance. I was happy to see the separate gluten free menu. My waiter was knowledgeable and answered questions. Since I built my own burger, I was able to write “celiac” and “dairy allergy” specifically on my ticket that went to the kitchen. They assured me the fryer was separate. The food was good although the bun did start to break apart a little. Most importantly, I didn’t get sick. It’s a little pricey but this is LA. I’ll definitely order again.

They care about cross contamination, but I was still contaminated on the 5th time I ate here. Disappointing because their burgers a pretty good, but I have been sick for multiple days so it is not worth it overall.

The Counter has a separate gluten free menu available. One side is all of the gluten free menu options and the other is a build your own gluten free burger page. They use Udi’s buns or you can do a bed of lettuce. They were willing to modify items off the children’s menu to be gluten free for us as well (extra charge for gf bun). My child got the kids menu sliders on a cut up Udi’s bun. They have a dedicated fries fryer and let me know they would tell the kitchen about our order so gloves were changed and precautions were taken. Our waiter was helpful. We would return.
