Staff was very nice and friendly but the gf menu was overwhelming, they gave me folder and I had to search for gf item by item
lots of great options, including fries that are safe to eat! we will definitely be back.
Never get sick! Separate friar and everything
fast service great grilled cheese and burgers. peach lemonade was awesome
Delicious!!! The people who work there r gf educated. There food is delicious and food comes really early
Great gluten free options, and awesome food!!!
Very celiac friendly! Server very helpful and friendly!! I wish it was closer to home. Scratch that... If it was close to home I'd be here every day!! Try the sauces for the burgers, very tasty aoli! Milkshakes were yummo!! No reaction, so I'm a happy customer.
The GF sandwich rolls are great! I love getting a big burger with an actual real bun!
They have dogfish head's tweason ale! They also have vegan cheese if you can't have dairy :)
They have Udi's gluten free burger buns and their website lists every possible topping and what allergens are in it. Just wish their shakes were gluten free.
The burgers are great an you have so many options to make a perfect burger without noticing a difference in quality!
Gluten free fries from a dedicated fryer and a gluten free bun for your hamburger.. Had to specifically ask for a list of gluten free sauces and toppings.. Overall very good. Really liked he sweet potato fries.
Burger-in-a-bowl is great, fully customizable and they segregate the fryers so the fries are safe too!
I eat here all the time because it's by my work. Never had a bad gluten reaction, the burgers are DELICIOUS and the fries are great too. Definitely recommend.
I had called the manager prior to arrival to make sure he felt confident they could serve my celiacness. He said to tell my waiter and they will take care of me. Upon sitting I asked for the gf menu and told my waiter he had celiac. He explained he would let the chef know. I ordered and asked if the sweet potato fries were cooked in different oil so I said ok. A few minutes later he told me the manager said he spoke to me and recommends I don't eat the fried food. It is different oil but there could be some splatter from the other grease. I said thank you and they took $3 off my bill. I was just happy they thought it through and were willing to warn me vs just saying "eh, it will probably be fine"
The restaurant allows you to create your own burger, with a dedicated gluten free menu (and good list of other allergens available if necessary). The gluten free bun is very good, for a gluten free bun, and they have a dedicated gluten free fryer for chips. They don't have a separate food prep area, but will clean down the working area between orders to reduce risks.
Some places make such a big deal out of accommodating people with special dietary needs, it’s nice when you find a place that gets it right. Gluten free buns for their delicious build your own burgers, tons of topping options, vegan burger and cheese options, and a dedicated gluten free fryer. I had a delicious bison burger on gluten free bun with goat cheese, onion, grilled pineapple, bacon, and avocado with a side of sweet potato fries. Best meal I’ve had in a long time and was not made to feel like it was any problem to accommodate my needs.
Absolutely delicious and safe!! Definitely go between 3-6 if you can to avoid the busy times. I got the grilled chicken with bacon/cheddar/avocado/ranch, SO GOOD. Chose no bun, though the GF bun looked good. Will definitely come again and hope to see some in the Midwest!
Just came back from a mission trip in Cuba. Had to carry all my food. Hadn’t eaten any real food in a week. They have GF hamburgers and FRIES. Saved my life. Rosemary knows her stuff. She has done some study on GF
Delicious but I got super sick within an hour. The waiter didn’t seem to be paying a lot of attention, I shouldn’t have trusted. I’ll try again if I’m starving but I’d give them a thorough talking to and not trust unless I get full attention
Had a burger on gluten free bun and Rose helped me with GF toppings. Did not get sick. I have celiac.
so happy to find this place! Rosemarie, the hostess, walked me through the menu, crossed off everything I could not eat. they have a separate fryer for French fries and gf buns for burgers.
Knowledgeable staff, great burgers and dedicated fryer. A rare find for airport food!
Staff is knowledgeable. I ordered fries because I know other The Counter spots have a dedicated fryer. But since i wrote “Celiac/gluten allergy” on my order, someone called me and told me their fryer isn’t dedicated because their kitchen is too small at this location. I really appreciated them calling to tell me.
Peggy crossed all the gluten items off the menu for me. I was able to build my burger to my liking. Even the fries were safe.
I have CD. I requested and received the Gluten-free menu. I ordered a GF sandwich and made sure they knew it was the GF version. When I received the sandwich, I asked again if it was GF because it looked like regular bread- The waiter assured me that it was. It was not. I got sick shortly after I began eating. They blamed the business of the restaurant on the kitchen and waiter's error. While they were highly apologetic, what if I had an allergy instead of CD? Never going back.
I’ve eaten here 6 times over last 2 months, and have never had a reaction. I’ve a very, very sensitive Celiac sufferer. GF burgers, buns, fries are all available. Including GF alcoholic beverages, such as angry orchard in bottles. Don’t try Omission Beer (NOT celiac friendly), and I haven’t ordered milk shakes due to possible cross-contamination. Staff is learning about celiac. Many, many options available. Good parking available in garage in back- enjoy!
The gourmet burgers were very delicious. They serve the burgers on GF buns and we shared a GF batch of fifty fifty fries. (Half shoe string fries and half sweet potato fries).
I loved the burger, you can male your own burger with gluten free bread. They also have orchard thieves which is my favorite kind of cider. We paid 38€ for 2 burgers, 3 ciders and sides. 4 stars because they don't have any gluten free dessert (only ice cream but who wants ice cream with this cold?)
Amazing gluten free menu! My Coeliac husband was not unwell after eating here. Server knew exactly what was gf. We didn’t like the drinks we ordered and they kindly swapped FOC. Above and beyond here. Make sure you time your visit before the lunch/dinner rush as it does get busy.
Went here twice while in NY. So happy to have a safe burger and fries! The fries are very thin and very crispy and some of the best fries I have ever had. So nice to be able to build my own burger too with tons of GF options. Great to have the option of a lettuce option as a wrap if you avoid grains. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable both visits. Would for sure go back.
I'm pretty sure they don't even know what gluten is. Also I received an attitude and felt judged for even asking about a gf menu or buns. I have celiacs and felt unwelcome to order anything at all. This restaurant should not be presented as a gf option at all.
I choose this place because they did have a separate gluten free menu along with a build your own burger menu for gluten free, it's one of the few places that had this. my boyfriend got the Mahi Mahi burger, however he was not a fan of the bun, but it wasn't the worst.
