The Original Pancake House

OK here's my honest review going to the Original Pancake House with Celiac. They have several gluten free options, which is super cool. They can make any pancake gluten free, however, I have no idea what ingredients are in their add ons for pancakes and honestly I'm not sure the wait staff fully knows either. Due to that lack of confidence, I ordered plain GF pancakes. They tasted excellent and I highly recommend. The caveat is how sensitive are you and how willing are you to take a legit chance in potentially getting glutened? They do cook the pancakes on a separate griddle, but they use the same cooking utensil as regular pancakes, so the potential is there for cross contamination. I would avoid the waffles because they are cooked in the same waffle iron. I took a chance on the pancakes and I think I will be safe. I would stay away from ANY sides as they are cooked on the same griddled as the gluten foods. If I get glutened I am confident it is because I did not ask the right questions related to meat prep BEFORE I took a bite of the ham I ordered. So if you decide to roll the dice on this one and hope against hope because you just want to have a "normal" meal out with your family because celiac is HARD, I would recommend sticking with straight up GF plain pancakes. I made it clear to my server that I am celiac and she did warn me about possible cross contamination with their spatula when flipping pancakes. They do section off their grill for pancakes so gf pancakes have their own section! I’ve never had an issue with the pancakes here and they’re delicious!

They cook all their food on the same grill. I wouldn't eat here if you have celiac disease.

We love this place! Delicious gluten free pancakes and plenty of other options too! They are always considerate about preparing our food carefully and staff is very knowledgeable about celiacs disease.

Pretty much all they had was pancakes and a lot of syrups but the pancakes are pretty good and the strawberry syrup is delicious

These are the best pancakes that I have had I a really long time. They can make just about any of the pancakes with the gluten free batter. Delish

The gluten free pancakes are amazing. I get them with bacon. A little busy at times but that’s usually a good sign.

Great food, amazing gf pancakes. Great service. our server's wife and daughter are gluten intolerant so he was able to tell us about cross contamination issues which were minimal. will go again.

super gf friendly!!! they serve the best gf pancakes I've ever had and they are very customizable. I always get the bacon pancakes and they never disappoints. I have eaten here multiple times and have never gotten sick. Always super tasty. I would definitely recommend.

Incredible! Gluten free pancakes were amazing, taste like regular. They were cautious with cross contamination, of course can't guarantee it but I didn't have a reaction. Awesome service. And the bacon... that bacon! So good.

Got sick from the veggie sausages and it was completely awful. Not gluten free friendly.

The gluten-free pancakes were solid and appreciated. They have fresh blueberry syrup also which was terrific.

Pancakes were amazing! They showed up on red plates to distinguish them from the other plates in the kitchen. Did not get sick. Will be back again.
