lots of GF options with GF protocols in place to handle allergies / celiac. We got the chicken parm & the lasagna. The chicken parm was very good, and bites of the lasagna were good, too, when you got all the components - but overall just okay if you didn’t get “the perfect bite.”
I did not get sick and I want to come back to try more options!
Our waitress was very knowledgeable and said that all but 3 of their menu items could be made gluten free and that their kitchen is trained to avoid cross contact. I got the gluten free lasagna, which I hadn’t had since being diagnosed, and it was so good! I will definitely be going back and felt safe eating there.
The food is amazing! The website goes over all the precautions that they take. Simply, tell them you require gluten free. I ordered online for delivery. I requested all gluten free items and also put in notes that I have celiac. My order arrived, they wrote on my containers acknowledging they took precautions with my food. I have had the arugula salad with chicken and the alkorean spicy chicken (which is to die for). This is my new favorite restaurant!
I ordered from here yesterday. Grass fed burger, gf bun, no onions and no sauce. Kale salad no breadcrumbs. I received a burger patty wrapped in lettuce (still was charged extra for a gf bun) left onions and sauce on. Kale salad had the breadcrumbs on it and they put both in the same container, so I couldn't eat any of it. $50 after all fees for something I couldn't eat or else I'd be sent to the ER.
My favorite restaurant ever! I absolutely love true foods and have eaten at many locations and always felt safe. I’ve gotten many different things but my favorites are the steak tacos and the ancient grains bowl. I was worried at first when eating the ancient grains bowl because it does normally come with farro which is not gluten free. However they are so good with allergies here that they just substitute it with brown rice. Truly a super safe place to eat and one of the best I have come across when it comes to handling food allergies. Also there gluten free vegan cookies are amazing!!!
The food was delicious. My sons had the lasagna (GF) they loved it. The Stir Fry was awesome. I’m still dreaming about the curry and trying to recreate it at home. This restaurant may have a mission statement of healthy good for you food, however it tasted better than those without such mission. Eat Here, you won’t regret it. FYI portions are smallish.
First time here. Shared the hummus with GF pita - was outstanding pita from Venice baking company (we asked the waitress) Husband (he’s the GF one)had salmon and the server was able to substitute a GF side for the one listed in the menu. He said it was delish. I had the teriyaki quinoa bowl and it was yummy.
This is a chain restaurant where I have always had great food and no reactions. We don’t have one where I live so I seek it out if I am traveling. Gluten free items are clearly marked and there are several options. When I told the server I had celiac, she said several staff members did too and they could make almost any item gluten free with small adjustments. I got the shrimp tacos which were delicious. I had wanted to try the salmon entree but it had farro. It ended up being what my fiancé wanted so we asked if they could do it gf and she said absolutely. They just swapped out the farro for brown rice. She put the whole ticket in as a gluten allergy and the manager came over with our plates, identified each and noted gluten allergy for each. The server then made sure to confirm the manager had come out and identified. My fiancé’s salmon was also fantastic. I was so happy I was able to have two wonderful dishes with no reaction. And I love the focus on healthy and seasonal food. Because of COVID the menu was a bit smaller than usual but it is great they can still offer so many amazing and safe options.
First off the food was super delicious and the presentation was beautiful! We had the cauliflower and Brussels spouts appetizer. For dinner we had the Sweet potato noodle ramen as spaghetti squash lasagna. We verified with the waitress that we both had celiac and she showed us where are choices are already marked gf so we would be fine. However this is probably the worst case of being glutened I’ve had in years. Both my partner and I have been sick for the last three days. We had to rush home because we both got violently ill. So if you have celiac or have to be vegan or veggie for allergic reason I highly recommend staying away it’s clearly for the trend.
I hate to leave a negative review, but I've eaten here twice now, and I've gotten sick both times. The thing that bothers me about this place is the amount of items on their menu that SHOULD be gluten free, but aren't. (Salmon??) Our server explained that they couldn't be easily changed and retain their flavor. I guess my conclusion is that they just aren't very focused on gluten as an issue in their kitchen.
I've been here several times, the food is great. The service is usually slow
I got super insanely sick here. Found out later that they cooked gluten free noodles in the regular pasta water. Manager apologized and promised they'd change their practices but a friend overheard them complaining later that someone with celiac shouldn't be ordering (gluten free?) noodles anyway. Not impressed in the least.
Not my favorite place, but you obviously don't have to worry about gluten cross contamination here. I recommend the bison burger with a GF bun. Great kale salad on the side if you like that!
Never disappointed when I come here. Great gluten free food and awesome drinks!
Menu is clearly labeled. When I told my server I had a gluten allergy she said she would alert the kitchen so they would take precautions. I ordered the Korean noodles with shrimp with no issues. Highly recommend!!
This used to be the best place in town for celiac. They were incredibly accommodating, had delicious pizza crust from Venice Bakery, they had fantastic gluten-free pita wraps and terrific GF hamburger buns.
That's all gone now. The new hamburger buns are atrocious, they got rid of the gluten-free pita wraps and they no longer work with Venice Bakery.
Ever since PF Chang's acquired the company, the emphasis on healthy eating has faded. And now the best GF options are gone.
I used to eat here once a week, at minimum. I won't be going back anytime soon.
