I was very happy to be able to attend my brother’s birthday party at Medieval Times last evening. The gluten and dairy free food items were good. Tomato soup, celery/carrots with hummus to replace garlic bread. Then the same meal as everyone else, just served first in its own plate. Dessert was Italian ice.

They were very knowledgeable on allergies. They didn’t have alternative options for an appetizer which was garlic bread but the rest of the meal was all gluten free. The dessert option was a doughnut but they offered either fresh fruit or Italian ice for a gluten free substitute.

I went fully not expecting to eat. My husband mentioned that I had celiac and the waitstaff jumped into action! They brought things for me that were all gluten free and even brought it out separately from the other food as to not cross contaminate. I never got sick! I was pleasantly surprised!

I emailed Medieval Times before the show and they assured me they could accommodate Celiac. Before the show, our waitress asked about allergies and I told her I had Celiac and could not have cross contamination. The waitress then put garlic bread on my plate and was confused why she couldn’t just take the bread off my plate and I could reuse it. She brought out veggies and hummus for me as a sub for garlic bread, but on the same tray as the garlic bread, dropped the veggies on the bread and then picked up and out them on my plate. Definitely cross contaminated!

Surprisingly, these folks take GF seriously. First, they asked if we had any food allergies. For everything my husband was served there was a substitute for me. He got bread. I got fresh vegetable with dip. The main course was the same, but I was served first to limit possible cross contamination. My dessert was fresh fruit, and his was an eclair. I was thrilled. I love fruits and veggies and hate GF breads and pastries. They did a great job, and it was a fun night.

Awesome experience. They have a little hard you hand your server so they are aware you need a GF meal. Not sure about cross contamination. Had a special GF treat as well.

If you come here, I'll assume you know what you're getting into... it's a massive stage where actors do various tricks while riding horses like jousting and throwing spears. It's an interesting experience but I don't think I'd come back, felt the show got stale pretty quickly.
The majority of the food is gluten free, tell your server you can't eat gluten and they'll make sure yours is safe to eat. But you get literally choice in what you eat outside of dietary restrictions. And, eat without utensils since forks apparently didn't exist back then. The food tastes adequate with OK portions but you shouldn't come here if you're really hungry. But, I felt fine after the meal.
Whether you enjoy this comes down to how much you enjoy the show. Don't expect a gourmet meal, but rather one that does the job while you're entertained.

This is one of our favorite places to go when we come to Orlando. I live in Florida and come here often. I have NEVER been sick. Everything is gluten free with the exception of the bread. Which is kept in a separate area in the kitchen. Staff has always been incredible. Dessert is not gluten free depending on what it is (sometimes it's been an ice cream other times has been a pastry) food is always delicious and beyond filling. Not to mention you get an awesome show! Highly recommend. I have eaten here at least 10 times since being gluten free and have never had an issue.

We had a good experience. I did have to remind the server that he served everyone chicken with the same tongs touching their garlic bread crumbs on their plate. But, he took care of me and I’m grateful.

Let me just say this is was the first time I felt safe in a long time! I had no worries of cross contamination! The serve had knowledge of Gluten Free, and everything was brought out separately! I can’t thank them enough!

The website said they had gluten free options on their website and said it can be requested at the time of the event.
When we got there I asked our informed our server and he was unsure what the gluten free options were. “His friend” aka another server thought that it all was except for the bread. I inquired about cross contamination in the kitchen, wanting to make sure the bread was prepared on a different surface than the other food. The server didn’t know, said he can’t talk to the chefs, and told me he would get his manager. Everyone else was served their meal, I waited. He couldn’t get a hold of a manager. Finally, when everyone was done eating and finishing dessert the manager came up to tell me that it was safe for me to eat the food. At that point I was frustrated and didn’t trust their word, so I didn’t eat.
It was an awful experience for a business that claims to be gf friendly. The show with the meal was also mediocre, so all around it was a negative experience. I recommend going elsewhere.

Very nice experience! At the beginning the server asks for any allergies. Instead of soup and garlic bread, I was served carrots and celery. For the main, I was able to eat the same food (chicken, potato, corn) as everyone else but my meal was brought out separately. For desert, I was able to have the ice cream that they served.
Staff was knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. When serving they remembered I was GF and made sure I received the correct meal. I had no problem with the food and was happy to enjoy the show like the rest of the group.

Upon arrival they ask if any allergies. For gluten free you get a card which you give to your server after you are seated. The soup is already gluten free. Instead of garlic bread you get humus and carrot and celery sticks. The chicken, corn and potatoes are already gluten free. Instead of the regular desert you get a bowl of fruit, melons and pineapple. Very filling and tasted great.

Everyone at the tournament receives the same meal, there's no menu but you request a gf meal from your server. When you do, they remove the standard place setting. Gluten free meal arrived separately, wrapped to prevent cross contamination and in totally distinct dishes so they couldn't be mistaken. Clean up also handled gluten free dishes separately which was impressive. Same entree, potato and vegetable as other dinners but toast and soup were replaced by veggies and hummus. Separate dessert options were also available. Favorably impressed!

The only thing my daughter couldn't eat was the garlic bread so we just said no thanks to that when it came around. But the chicken, potato, soup, corn and ice cream were all gluten free with no modifications needed.

Unfortunately, our waiter seems to think that GF meant vegetarian. The vegetarian entree he brought was not good, and even my husband didn’t like it. The corn on the cob was tasty, as was the potato. The ice cream for dessert was only so-so. Overall a really fun evening but not the greatest food experience. However, absolutely no reaction, which is what really matters.

Everything was gluten free. The only that was not was the garlic bread. It was nice to enjoy a show while eating dinner and not worrying about gluten.

The menu is basic but they are great about allergens. While you are waiting to go in and they are assigning you seating, they will give you a complete list of ingredients for everything they serve with main allergens highlighted (available on website too)
When you are seated they place an allergy card in front of you so it's easy for the servers to see in the dark. They servers work quickly so you need to double check when they place food in front of you.
We had a good experience with a celiac and a child with a severe milk allergy. Neither was sick after.
Yes
Server asked right away if we had any allergies. Most of the meal was GF except the bread and I was given veggies and hummus as a replacement. Highly recommend.
Yes
Let them know you need gluten free when you make the reservation. We also told the server. It was awesome! The only thing served that contained gluten was the garlic bread, so the server substituted carrots/celery and hummus.
Yes
The wait staff asks if you have allergies. Everything but the garlic bread is gf naturally. I was given carrots & celery with hummus instead of bread. I had the soup, chicken, potatoes, corn, and ice cream and had no reaction. Very happy.
Yes
Our “man wench” was extremely friendly and asked if we had any allergies. We were told all the food was GF except the garlic bread and were given hummus and veggies as a substitute. We were very impressed and had a blast!
Yes
My family had a great time here and just tell your server you have a gluten allergy they offer gf options I had no problem eating there
What a fun experience! I really enjoyed the show and it’s nice to know there are places that can so easily accommodate those who are gluten free.
Yes
Good meal with gf substitutions. Seemed safe and no repercussions.
We went to Medeival Times a few nights ago and had such a great time! I was a bit paranoid about eating here because I'm so sensitive to cross contamination, but they were very diligent and I felt confident with my meal. I am allergic to dairy as well as being celiac, so I was afraid there would be nothing I could enjoy. However, before the show, I was able to enjoy a pina colata slushie. For dinner, I had the tomato bisque soup, which was vegan and really tasty! I had the chicken, the potato, and "naked" corn (no butter.) For dessert, they served a bowl of fresh fruit. They brought out the specific allergy items separately. It was so great to feel like I was part of the crowd and know that my meal was safe. And our Blue Knight won!
Yes
we had 3 gf in our party and it wasnt big deal. soup , chicken , potato, corn, and italian ice instead of pastry.
Very accommodating for GF, make sure to tell your server and they will sub any items for you. Don't miss out on a delicious meal!
Was asked several times about allergies. Brought an allergy menu. Was able to enjoy a gluten and dairy free meal. Tomato bisque, chicken, potatoes, corn, and sorbet for dessert - served with a separate gloved hand! Yum.
Yes
Had a great time, enjoyed the food... had gluten free options for all courses of meal. Instead of bread, they brought humus with celery and carrots and instead of danish they gave an Italian ice. All other courses were naturally gluten free and delicious!

The staff were very familiar with celiac and accommodating for a dairy allergy as well. Great experience!
We were so happy they could accommodate our GF kiddo. The food was great and the overall experience awesome!
I called a few days in advance with reservation number to let them know I could not eat gluten. I then told my server upon arriving at the table. It was no problem. I was not able to eat the garlic bread, but was given the option of extra potato or corn. The desert for everyone else was a pastry, but I was brought fruit. The fruit was good. It was a good experience.
Yes
The food was surprisingly good. Gf and df-- they gave us tomato soup, chicken, potato, corn with margarine, and for dessert they substituted the pastry with a big bowl of cut fruit. They also allowed us to bring in our own gf cupcakes and they served them when the others in our party got dessert. She brought our items out on a separate tray than the other dessert. The waitress said she changed the tongs between serving the bread etc. I didn't get sick, I have celiac and am very sensitive.

My husband and I had a great time and wonderful meal at the show last night. He's been wanting to see this show for years, and due to my gluten intolerance, I kept making other plans. This year, he got his way and I was pleasantly surprised!😋. The Waitress was very knowledgable and accommodating and didn't make me feel like an outcast. The entire meal is naturally GF except for the bread and dessert. I was very happy to go w/o these items; but she had alternatives! I received celery and carrots with hummus instead of the bread and Italian ice instead of the pastry. They were great and I couldn't finish my meal! The show was wonderful and I didn't leave hungry as I expected to do. Thank you, Christin!!!

There are no substitutes for their set menu, but our waitress asked if we had any allergies and seemed knowledgeable about what had gluten and what didn't
Nothing vegetarian here for anybody vegetarian or vegan and if you're gluten-free and vegetarian vegan forget it medieval times is not for you
Was asked by our server if any one in our group had food allergies, which was awesome. He told me upfront what I could have, what items I eould not have, and the subs they would provide.
I had a great experience & the food was great too! The first thing the server asked - 'does anyone have food allergies?' He told me the 3 items that contained gluten & everything else was gf. He also substituted a different dessert. Everything was tasty.
Bread and dessert not gf, but everything else was. Tasty and fun!
