I just called the location in Sterling Heights, Michigan and was told the fryers are cross contaminated for fries and onion rings but the burgers and chicken are cooked on separate grills and they offer gf buns. I would recommend proceeding with caution if you have severe gluten allergies.
Great burger with gluten free bun. The fries are gluten free if you get them without seasoning but they do use a shared frier.

Amazing burger on soft, warm, moist GF bun! For GF fries ask them to bake them. They're delicious!

absolutely terrible experience. went here with a large group including two other gluten free friends and every one of us had trouble. one of my friends got a salad and asked multiple times for no croutons but the salad came with croutons and bread on it. she asked them to remake it and they did but she still felt sick after. another friend ordered a burger with a gluten free bun and asked if the fries we gluten free and the server had no idea what gluten was and would not ask anyone else. my server was the manager, i tried to order a burger with a gluten free bun and he told me that they don’t carry the GF buns at this location. i told my friend this and we talked to her server and it turns out they substituted her regular bun for a whole wheat one. after what happened with my friends, i ended up not ordering anything. even my not-gluten-free friends did not enjoy the food or the experience.

Fudds is our go to place! One of the owners is celiac and they take it very seriously. They have gf buns, a separate fryer, the wedges are gf. The burgers, grilled chicken burgers, turkey burgers and fish burgers are gf. They even have gf gravy so you can get gf poutine!!! Sometimes they even have gf cookies and I am pretty sure their shakes and ice cream aregf too. If you want to avoid CC at the vege station you can just ask for them to grab you toppings from the back. The cheese sauce is not gf so don't get that. I also like that it is family owned and they are all super friendly.

I recently discovered the 2 Fudruckers locations in MA have gluten free buns. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and explained the burgers are safe but shakes and fries are not due to cross contact. The burger was delicious and I'll be back again soon.

I used to go there all the time because I knew I could eat safely. I am a celiac. They are now under new management and they don’t follow the guidelines for having a separate fryer . The manager is well 99% of the time . That’s not good enough. I have gotten sick twice from the sweet potato fries. Unfortunately I will not go back.

Kinda meh. First off, this is not the Fuddruckers you remember from other locations or back in the day. It’s more like an upscale five guys. I am told that there is a dedicated fryer but I’m not 100% sure. They have gluten-free buns but not a lot of understanding of what is gluten-free and what is not otherwise. I am celiac my tummy was a bit rocky afterwards. Not sure if that was cross-contamination or something else.

Not super knowledgeable staff but are helpful and friendly. You are able to get gluten free buns for any burger. They also come with dedicated frier and can pick your toppings individually. Lettuce, onions, tomatoes and other condiments come from a separate bar and are self served.

The manager confirmed they do NOT have a dedicated fryer. He wasn't aware they ever did, or why that matters. For this reason, I did not rock anything there as he didn't understand cross contamination.

Just ate here on a recommendation from another Celiac. It was the best burger I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the cheese, bacon and mushroom 1/2 burger. The gf bun was great. To be honest I wish I hadn’t ordered the fries…the burger was huge.

They offer a gluten free bun, and their fries are cooked in separate oil then the onion rings or other fried things. Food was really good! They offer Heinz ketchup, mayo, and other products as toppers. They have a topping bar full of veggies. Cheese sauce is also gluten free as well. This made me happy, cause this was my first time eating out in so long!

I came here yesterday with my best friend and they were very accommodating with my diet. I was impressed that they had the gluten free bun inside a plastic bag so I would not get sick. Most restaurants I have gone to they just put the gluten free bun on the burger. Restaurants should be following Fuddruckers lead! Awesome presentation

All of their food is seasoned with a spice that contains gluten. Your only option is no spice. There is NO point to their gluten free bun. Avoid.

The manager on duty today was Celiac and was able to answer typical questions I would ask even before I had to ask them. They do have a dedicated fryer. She also assured me the seasoning on the burgers and the fries are gluten free. The bun was good, and overall the burger was delicious! This will be my new go to place for burgers!

They have GF buns clearly marked on the menu. Since this is mainly a hamburger place the buns are important. You can choose you toppings yourself.
Don’t know if there’s a dedicated fryer for the fries. My daughter did not complain about being glutened and she ate all of her fries.

They said they had a separate fryer for the frys and I got a gluten free bun. I feel like the bun was very dry and they had warmed it up on the same grill as the rest of the food because I got sick.

I ordered a gluten free cheeseburger, the order came with non gluten free fries on the plate and touching the burger so I sent it back. The burger came back within minutes and my stomach immediately began hurting, which led me to the conclusion they just removed the fries then gave it back. I would not recommend people with celiac disease to come here because the staff doesn’t seem to care enough about it.

The guy at the counter made sure to make a note that my request for gluten free bun was an allergy and assured me the fries were made in a deciated fryer. He also continued to tell me about his nut allergy and he knew how important it was the restaurant take things seriously and that he had to quit a previous job because the kitchen didn't. The food was great and I did not have any reaction.

I called to place an order for pick up and was told it would be easier if I went in person and ordered in the restaurant. When I walked in, I was told that ONLY THE BREAD is gluten free and that the MEAT IS NOT gluten free. If you have a medical condition for which you must eat gluten free, this is not a good place to go to. I ended up going home and cooking at home.
Only the bread is gluten free, as per the manager.
Staff was very nice even though I couldn’t eat there.

Fryer is shared with breaded items. No dedicated fryer. The burgers are celiac friendly, though.
Staff said there was a separate fryer for GF fries! Also the GF buns are delish!
Yes
All three of these stars are for the super friendly staff. If you are celiac DO NOT try this restaurant. While the staff was really nice, they know less than nothing about gluten free...so much so that the girl who took my order insisted they didn’t have a gluten free bun. Someone else had to come from the back to show her how to designate on the register. When my order was ready, it was missing the cheese. The cook admitted he had it out but had forgotten to put it on the burger (I get it. Things happen). As he passed it back out, he had a thought and asked if I’d like the cheese melted. I didn’t realize how this would turn out so I said yes. He then put the burger back on the grill which resulted in an overcooked burger and barely warm cheese. Again, everyone was wonderful, but at this price, I expect a better than average burger. My less than awesome burger combined with cold fries served up by a kind but clearly “not ready for gluten free” staff was not worth the price tag.
No
The owner herself is Celiac and talked to us personally. We joked about our three generations of celiac, myself, my daughter and granddaughter!! The food was great. Felt completely safe.
Yes
I’ve never walked away from this restaurant and not felt sick - to be fair that has been 3 times in the past year and I won’t be going back due to this. I’m hoping they have hired better management since as their manager was surprisingly dismissive and rude when I asked about the dedicated fryer.
No
If I could give this a 0 I would. Went in tonight, (and I have been here several times) Ordered my standard child plate gluten free bun and fries. I have been every time I have gone in that the fries are gluten free and have there own fryer. Tonight I was told “stuff happens”. Manager seemed to think that it was no big deal... I then said so I’ve been lied to every other time I’ve come in here and his response was “pretty much “. I’m giving it 1 star because I have to not because they deserve it
No
Always happy when I can get gluten free fries with a burger! They have a dedicated fryer (unless it’s contaminated which they tell you upon ordering).
Yes
Yes
Burgers are gluten free, they have a dedicated fryer for fries (unless of an accidental mistake, in which case they informed me while ordering). Toppings bar is as risky as most buffets would be, but the kitchen is fairly safe
Yes
I love that they put a lid over your GF plate. I’m always unsure of buffets, I use my own fork and grab my toppings from the back. Pearland is not my favorite location of this chain. Fries are not GF. Barbecue sauce is.
Flavor is good, but maybe not as good as it implies based on price š
First let me say according to their website and the few times I have been there... they have Yummy gf meat and you can build a pretty decent salad under it with their toppings bar...... BUT good luck finding someone that can confirm that... amazing how many places confuse gluten and dairy. I asked cooks and managers. No help. Maybe it was a bad location or a bad night... but one bad night can mean a bad week for your stomach so eat at your own risk. I left worried for a few hours... but all was well. I would just keep it simple with meat and veggies and condiments.
The staff are really good about making sure there is no contamination. They always ask about preference or allergy. And of the GF fryer is down, they let us know right away. Plus the GF buns are delicious! My daughters fave place!
