Gluten-Free at Ground Round

Have eaten here successful many times before. This time was not good. Ordered a cranberry chicken salad and while I was eating my daughter across the table noticed that there was a piece of breading in my salad! Upon digging through we came across another piece. The chicken that accompanied the salad was not breaded. I sent my meal back and they removed my meal from the bill. Popcorn was my dinner. I will not be back here. Unfortunately the place has really gone down hill.

Oshkosh Location ONLY- Great server, great atmosphere ! So if you have no allergies , you will be great ! Sadly, they brought out my cheeseburger, I asked two different times if this was a gluten free bun because it just looked different. She assured me it was safe to eat. After eating half my burger , I noticed it looked like my father-in-laws regular burger….. I spent my evening vomiting and excruciating stomach pains. My 6 year old has celiac and I will never put our safety in their hands again!

Save yourself the trip. Waitress knew nothing, all they offer is a gf bun as bread. They don’t have a gf menu. The service was also lacking severally and taste was bland to say the least.

I ordered a filet of sirloin for a conference at the attached hotel. The chef came out and talked to me and went over the dinner with me. I had also called the establishment before the dinner to be sure everything would be safe. Everything tasted good and had did not have a reaction. Pleasantly pleased.

Took our adult daughter to GR and she ordered a salad off their ‘separate’ GLUTEN FREE menu. An hour later she was terribly sick!! We expected so much better - Ground Round is definitely a HARD PASS for us from now on.

No gluten free menu. Waitstaff said they don't accommodate those who eat gluten free. We ordered grilled chicken plain, vegetable of the day and spanish rice. Disappointed only because this restaurant was only one of two listed on the app for this city.

Offer a Gluten Free menu, but I've had to really explain and emphasize the importance to ensure there is no cross contamination. Generally I get a burger with a salad on the same plate (otherwise the burger comes alone one a huge plate and looks funny-- its all in the presentation...) limited choices (popcorn is GF) and depending on the staff will depend on the knowledge base of GF.

Zero stars. No education at all about gluten free food. Waitress took bread off my plate with her hand in front of me. Picked croutons off in the back from my salad. Brought me back same food that bread touched. Four tries to get a simple order right.

Asked for GF steak and potatoes, stating for disease and not preference. Had a very nice waitress that assured us they would be careful and know what to do. Food arrived with garlic bread on the plate. We refused the item, but did keep the plate at the table so it would have to be made from scratch, not just switched plates on us. Waitress stated the cook staff didn't realize bread has gluten in it 🙄. Remade the order - now hoping they did it correctly and we don't feel effects in a few hours.

One of the very few restaurants in the area that offer gluten free french fries, outstanding nachos and many more options. They have a "real" menu so it takes the guess work out for gluten free guests. As with everywhere you go, make sure to specify "gluten free" so the cooks and wait can prepare the food properly!

They have great service and a pretty extensive gluten free menu. The food was delicious! I had a salad (no croutons) and Cajun grilled chicken with mashed potatoes. However, I'm almost positive there was some cross contamination based on the fact that I became sick within about a half hour of eating here. It wasn't as bad as if I flat out ate something breaded etc, but it was bad enough that I knew something was off and I had to come to my hotel and take some medicine and rest. I would be extra careful here if you have celiac.

My son and I both have celiacs and were excited when Ground Round introduced its gluten free menu. Unfortunately we tried ordering from it about half a dozen times between the 2 of us and we were sick every time (celiacs sick-hits the day after and lasts a week). On my 2nd to last visit, I spoke with the manager who was "shocked" and then he went to the kitchen and said he discovered the cooks were not using the gluten free bbq sauce. He assured me my food would be prepared properly and when it came, it had a big ole slice of texas toast on it. The manager then made my meal himself and no problems. Next visit, the waitress rolled her eyes when I ordered my gluten free steak. It was brought to me with breaded onion things on top. I told her I would need a new steak and she took it to the kitchen and returned with my "new" steak a minute or so later. Needless to say I did not eat it and have not gone back. I feel they are resentful of the gluten free crowd and no amount of niceness or complaining is going to fix that- but I sure gave them more chances than they deserved!

Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Took care to prevent cross contamination. Their menu warns that there is always a risk for cross contamination in their kitchen. However, we had a great experience and neither my son or I (we both have celiac) had any issues.

Avoid eating here if you are Gluten Free. The staff doesn't understand that my Gluten free meal shouldn't be served with bread or croutons. Other places have served my meal seperate from everyone else, not here. I left dinner having a reaction.

I love their gluten free breakfast menu! They have pancakes!!! It is very good and different from the usual gluten free breakfast options. I live in OshKosh and will drive out of my way just for their breakfast since the OshKosh branch doesn't offer gluten free breakfast

When told the server I was celiac, she didn't have a clue, never a good sign. When I asked her to be diligent about cc, I received a deer in the head lights look. They do have good gluten free choices.

They don't have a super extensive gf menu, but there are some standard options, including bunless burgers. I ordered blackened chicken breasts with steamed broccoli and a plain baked potato with olive oil on the side. The waitress was really nice about checking with the chef to make sure my meal would be free of gluten, dairy, egg, and vinegar. The chicken wasn't quite as blackened as I'd expected and the food was a little on the bland side, but the important thing is that I didn't have any food reactions after eating here. I will return knowing that I can have a meal here without getting sick.
