Excellent pizza and I didn’t get sick! I’m celiac. Servers were knowledgeable and said the kitchen takes care to prevent cross contamination.

We have never had issues here. My daughter with Celiacs loves their GF feta bread and pizza. One of the servers told us the manager is GF so they’re very cautious.

The gf feta bread is amazing! Our whole family wants the gf one because it is way better than the regular. The pizza is also good. Wait staff is usually pretty knowledgeable.

Gluten free bun with a burger is your safest choice! Pizza has always made me react and No separate frier

Celiacs beware - I have Celiac and used to eat here with no problem. Now, they took off many menu items that were gluten free and what they do offer has made me sick. Pizza, salads. Not sure if it a cross-contamination issue. I am very specific and ask questions when ordering. Crossing Aubrees off my list of safe places to eat sadly.

Gluten free pizza was awesome, the pasta was good too plus they had a gf beer available. Would definitely go back š

Not celiac-safe due to cross-contact/cross-contamination. Some GF Items fried in the same oil as glutenous menu items.

They do NOT have GF pizza anymore. I’m going to order a salad. They have GF buns for burgers and other items

This was a nice place! Pizzas sounded good but I opted for a Cobb salad, which was delicious. Staff wasn't super knowledgeable when I asked about dressings but checked for me. Overall I was pleased!

I just got the pizza based on other reviews but I felt great after.
Ordered gluten free pizza and gluten free feta bread after very clearly explaining my celiac disease and the need for extreme precautions. When it came out I tested both the bread and pizza with my nima tester and both tested positive for gluten. I did not eat it.
No
They have great pizza and even better...they will make their feta cheese bread on gluten free crust! I wat here every time I am in Howell and have not gotten sick. They have a dedicated prep area and dedicated ingredients/tools for gluten free pizzas. They have other menu items that can be prepared gluten free...but we always come for the pizza!
The gluten free pizza is what I would recommend to stay on the safe side. It’s your typical Udi’s crust.
Yes
I mentioned that I had celiac to the waitress. She assured me the gluten free pizza was safe, although she mentioned that other GF items on the menu were gluten friendly, not gluten free. When it came out, my pizza was even on a single-use disposable pizza pan. She brought it out on a separate carrying tray from the rest of my group’s food as well. The pizza was good, and I felt just fine afterward, so I’d say it was a good experience overall.
I gave it a 4 because the pizza seemed to be the only truly gluten free entree, while the others were just “gluten friendly.” I will be back to try the gluten free chocolate torte, though!
Great place! We were seated by a waitress who was on her way out the door but set her stuff down and took the time to find us a table. I got the 10” gluten free pizza with the Everything crust flavor and pepperoni. SOOO good!
The food was great!! I had no problems with my allergies and such and the staff was very friendly.
They have a dedicated GF fryer now. No issues so far with steak fries. GF pizza has cause issues in the past and too afraid to try again.
Yes
The burger and fries were amazing until I quickly realized that I had been glutened. I asked if there was a separate fryer and the waiter indicated that there was or didn’t say the fries were cooked with other foods containing gluten. The gluten free pizza was a safe choice and it is the only item that I recommended. Gluten friendly is Very different than Gluten Free š¤¢

they have the BEST gf pizza! they can make any of their pizzas GF and they also have gf buns for their hamburgers! 10/10 recommend
The safest items are the salad and the pizza. Careful with anything saying “GF” like the sides which they call “Gluten Friendly” and are NOT gluten free as there is no separate frier.
Yes
Not gf food... they have only a couple items on the menu tagged gluten friendly but if you're celiac you'll be sick!
The "gluten free" pizza made my 3 yr old celiac daughter vomit all night, enough said.
No
I had a take out pizza here last week. Told the person answering the phone it was for celiac. He understood, and knew what was safe and what was not.
Good food I had a burger and roasted red potatoes. The bun stayed together and did not fall apart.
Used to be maybe?
I've gotten sick the last 3 times I've eaten from their 'Gluten Friendly' menu.
Pizza is not safe.
Bacon and Brussel sprouts - ruined my son's birthday party.
Gluten Friendly ? Not friendly to me.
No
Aubree's gluten free pizza and cheese bread is average. It's thin and crunchy. I like it but it's not the best and not the worst.
We had a beautiful and friendly waitress at the Adrian location. I ordered the burger with the GF bun. Did not like the bun but the burger was great. Also ate the brussel sprouts with bacon, they were excellent. The menu states that if you have Celiac Disease that they basically can't guarantee that it hasn't been cross contaminated. I have not had a reaction so that is a good thing. Just to let you know the GF burger bun is the kind that just falls apart. Which is a shame cause GF burger buns have come a long way. I do have Celiac Disease.

Great pizza, and really good GF bun!
There are a few GF items besides pizza. The Tuscan chicken and spinach was delicious and my husband enjoyed sharing the Brussel sprouts and bacon appetizer.
Gluten free pizza and other menu items. Pretty good.
No
This is a gluten fad friendly place, not truly celiac friendly... They do have several delicious looking items on the menu, but GF mainly means gluten fad-meaning they do deep fry many of the items with food containing gluten. I found it to be frustrating trying to order after finding out the gf next to many menu selections did not really mean gluten free. Bummer!
many GF options. ... yummy pizza
No
Good pizza and food, they even have GF pizza on the lunch buffet, just make sure you call ahead so you don't have to wait. Be warned if it's by thin crust and the sign is gone it's not GF, the waitress was good about letting me know, but I made it to the table.
No
Good gf pizza and other gf items on the menu including dessert! My daughter has celiac and didn't have a reaction.
Great gf pizza & wings! Never gotten sick. They cook the pizza on aluminum sheets to avoid cross contamination.
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here last night. We had heard positives and negatives about the chain, and thought we would choose to go to an early dinner, in hopes that it would be a bit slower and we would have time to talk to a manager/chef.
We had near perfect timing. I informed the hostess and our server about my gluten free needs. The server seemed a bit unsure, and sent the manager directly to our table, even without me asking. Ryan, the manager, was the most helpful manager I think I've ever talked to! He was thorough with what they could safely do, and even went as far as suggesting a less spicy topping to the pasta dish I was ordering.
Their menu items are marked with a green "GF" logo if they are "gluten free friendly." Be warned, this does not necessarily mean they are free from cross-contact with other gluten containing foods. It was only through the resourcefulness of Ryan that we learned that their regular brussel sprout side, labeled GF, was actually deep fried with their chicken. The same is true of all their GF fried items, such as their fries.
Ryan personally made sure that our brussel sprouts were sauteed and even made sure the bacon was on the side, as my husband has an intolerance to pork.
This location offers gluten free pasta that is to be cooked in clean fresh water, gluten free buns that are toasted in their own specific pan through the pizza oven, and gluten free pizza crusts. The crusts are baked on clean oven pans, and gluten free pizzas being prepped are done so on a specific plastic cutting board, and the staff is told they must change their gloves. **Caution- There IS free floating flour in the facility as they make their regular pizza crusts from scratch and do not have dedicated topping containers. In my opinion, this is the strongest possibility for cross-contact.
They also have a flourless chocolate cake that is prepared off site, so they simply take a piece out of the fridge/freezer and onto a clean plate when you order it.
They serve RedBridge beer and Angry Orchard Hard Cider.
Added bonus- they serve Faygo in glass bottles!
I'm so appreciative that our server Jeremy sent the manager our way when he wasn't sure of something, just to make sure that we were safe. I think I feel comfortable going back again, and possibly even inviting our Celiac support group. They have a great large room to accommodate groups. I was told the best time to go is when they are slowest, between 2-4 pm. The head kitchen manager is there during that time and he can pay specific attention to what you are ordering.
Giving it a 4 out of 5 because it was not mentioned on the menu that the brussel sprouts were deep fried. Other than that, I think we'll be going back!
I LOVE Aubree's. Their gluten free pizza is some of the best, if not the best, in town. Try their gluten free margarita pizza - it's amazing!
I've tried their pizza and burgers. Gluten free buns are good and they even have sweet potato fries.
Yes
Although menu is marked with GF options they use a common fryer. They were responsive to my questions but clearly don't understand gluten free needs. They had no GF entrees marked. They offer a GF pasta (not on menu) but were not sure if the rest of the ingredients were GF safe.
No
I've downgraded my rating because they have a new menu where they list steak fries and sweet potato fries as GF. When we asked if they have a dedicated fryer - the answer was no. They also list Guernsey ice cream on their menu as GF. Last time I talked to Guernsey, they said none of their ice creams are gf because they don't clean their lines in between flavors. The new Aubrees menu is confusing!! We ordered the gf Mac and cheese and I asked if the server could check with the chef to ensure they still boil a pot if new water - the server checked with the cook and replied that they use the same water as they do for all the other pasta with gluten!!! He said the cook said that they make sure the water is boiling to ensure everything (the gluten) is killed. We discussed these points with the manager and he said he would address these issues. This is not gluten free - not safe for people with Celiac.
No
Not a huge fan of this pizza, kinda cardboard like. There are better places out there.
The menu is very specifically marked with what is gluten free and what is not. I have never gotten sick from eating here, The GF pizza is AMAZING!! I am also a vegetarian and I feel like I can eat like a "normal" person here. Most of my waitresses have also been knowledgable about the gluten free items.
I also asked if their sweet potato fries were in a separate fryer and the response from Rebecca the server was, "no, but the oil is over 160 degrees so it kills the gluten" I couldn't believe she actually said that with a straight face... I then explained that gluten was not a bacteria and we left. I appreciate the effort Aubrees has made but they need to adjust their menu and educate the servers.
