They have a great allergy protocol. Wash hands, get toppings from separate containers, use fresh dishes for everything. They also have dairy free options. Was sooo good!

This little ice cream shop is fun with an overwhelming number of options and rigorous celiac/allergy protocol. We reviewed the extensive list of items on the gluten free menu that also indicated dairy, etc. My family member confirmed she was ordering due to Celiac disease and they confirmed it back verbally, told her their protocol and then washed hands, changed gloves, used a clean bowl from a different area, scooped mix-ins from the back with a clean scoop and then reassured her of the steps they had taken to produce a safe result. She is very sensitive (gluten and dairy) and had absolutely no reaction. My only advice is to go when it's slow - the options are so extensive that I appreciated having time without a line to make decisions! If we had been staying in the area I am sure we would have returned every day.

New sanitized, clean bowl for every order. Menu with marked GF options (several). Mixing utensils used clean from new area and kept in cup before/during use in bowl. Mix-in candies grabbed from sealed container in cabinet instead of from front area where all are next to each other. Offered to complete the celiac order first. Had knowledge of celiac and cross contact and able to relay procedures without prompting.

Ice cream was ok. No GF cones
Ice cream was great. Staff was super helpful in answering questions. I had the strawbery sigma and it was so good! Everything GF was marked on menu at the restaurant.

The worker wasn't sure what was gluten free and what wasn't. She uses a lot of should be gf statements, but didn't offer to verify. I opted not to try it as there are a lot of mix ins that are not gluten free. When I said I would pass, she offered dairy free options to me. I got one for my daughter and she loved it, and it was fun to watch them, but I'm not confident this is safe for a Celiac.

lactose free & vegan options are available but they are not the best tasting. better off buying from a store. i got dairy-free blueberry & it barely had a taste. staff was also very confused about what dairy was and insisted that heavy whipping cream was dairy free until i repeatedly told them it wasn’t.

I love sub zero, I’ve been there loads of times and haven’t had any problems, and they were very good with both my celiac and dairy allergy. However this last time, new people were there and they didn’t speak very good English, I told them about my allergy, and they got fresh scoops but put a waffle cone in it, so I had them remake it, the right way, and they didn’t charge any extra, so I guess that’s good. Luckily I didn’t have a reaction.

Horrible experience. My daughter waited in line an hour and the employee said they have no gluten free options, even though there were several comments online stating that they do. He was clueless, and not willing to discuss options at all. My daughter left with nothing after waiting an hour. Poor customer experience

The workers were young but did a fantastic job preparing my celiac daughters ice cream. They used clean bowl and spatulas. This place was a cool experience. First you choose your base (milk type) then flavor and toppings. Could be made dairy free as well. They add all the ingredients then blast a mixing bowl with nitrogen freezing it and scraping the sides. A bit pricey but it was really good! The workers were super nice and friendly also.

This place was great. I asked about contamination as my son is a severely reactive celiac and they used clean utensils, new ice cream (and toppings!), washed surfaces and hands prior. I was very impressed and my three year old was very happy! Will definitely go back.

Every time I've gone in this establishment, they don't cross contaminate and you can watch them make it right in front of you. If you have a latex allergy, they will replace their gloves for you.

Delicious GF ice cream! Choose a base including ice cream, custard, yogurt, lactose free, coconut milk, Vegan, or sugar-free. Good choice of flavors & mix-ins.

Employee was very knowledgeable. Claimed corporate policy was that all bases and flavors were GF. Acknowledged that toppings were not necessarily GF. Good experience!
From a GF perspective. No gluten free menu and employee thought gluten was dairy. Did offer to text the manager. Would not recommend.
Website said gluten free, person working had no idea and directed me to sugar free....
No
I'm giving this one star because the employees were friendly. However the ice cream was overpriced and honestly extremely gross. As far as gluten containing, most of the mix ins were but most of the flavors were safe.
This place is so awesome. They use liquid nitrogen to freeze each individual dessert and they use a new bowl when they make each one to avoid cross-contamination. You can choose from ice cream, lactose free ice cream, sugar-free ice cream, yogurt, or vegan ice cream and they will put anything you want in it. Only thing I had to specially request was no waffle cone and for them to rinse the scoops they use when they make it. Awesome for the gluten/lactose challenged!
Yes
Very good ice cream. Almost everything is gluten free. They list on the menu the couple of flavors that are not gluten free and the mix in's are pretty much self explanatory. You watch the entire process so it's really cool to watch and a fun treat!
Took amazing care with my ice cream. they have a list off to the side with which flavors are GF, DF, and vegan. used fresh clean bowl, utensil s, and took mix ins out of the prep area to prevent cross contamination.
There are tons of options for Vegans and celiac, everything is made fresh to order and customized for every customer. they use liquid nitrogen to freeze right in ftont of you!! very good and really fun!!
They have more than 40 options of flavors for celiac. Everything is made separeted and sanitized.

Loved the non-dairy almond milk option!
Love this place. We are GF/CF and never had an issue.
Dairy free options as well as GF. They'll give you an "allergy bowl" to use with your order. The staff is knowledgable about what is GF and will get the "mix-ins" from the back if you ask.
Yes
If you like ice cream this is NOT the place. What they give you is GF but is not ice cream just frozen milk with syrups
This is a really cool place. All of the ice cream bases are gluten free, so it's a good start. When I asked about gluten in flavorings and add-ins, they didn't just try to guess, they checked. The mix-ins are stored side by side, though, and cross-contamination seems hard to avoid. They are arranged well - gf add-ins are farther back and they aren't dragging a spoon over them all the time, which helps. Each add-in uses a separate spoon, too. I'm celiac and didn't get poisoned, but it's quite possibly a risk.
Very allergen friendly facility, of all allergies (not strictly gluten/wheat). All of the desserts are made to order in completely separate, individualized bowls with freshly cleaned and sanitized utensils! One can create hundreds of different flavor and mix in combinations. The staff is also very knowledgable, and all allergies are handled by a supervisor (even though all staff is trained). Have never gotten sick, highly recommended!

Lots of GF/CF options. My kids love to order their ice cream "crunchy" :)
Finally, a place where a GF/DF frozen dessert fan can find happiness. This store starts with a base and flavors plus an add-in and then freezes your dessert to order. You can start cream, milk, or custard as a base, but they also have non-dairy milks (Almond, Coconut, Soy and Rice). They have a host of gluten-free flavors and add-ins. You dream it, they make it, and it tastes GREAT.
Awesome place,heathy icecream.
This is the BEST place to get ice cream. They make what YOU want for base of ice cream and flavors on the spot. Owners are awesome!!!
They offer "ice cream" made with almond, soy or coconut milk. Then you pick your flavor and mix-ins. We had chocolate flavored coconut milk ice cream with chocolate chips. It was awesome!
