Menu is labeled gluten free. Ask for no biscuit when placing an order. Really good bbq but small portion size for price, so docked of one star.

I had the combo plate Pulled chicken and pulled BBQ with chili and corn. It was not my Favorite. I’m sure there are some other delicious dishes. Server was knowledgeable and informed the kitchen.

Came here straight from the airport after starving from an early flight and couldn’t of been more happy with the food. Menu is clearly marked what’s a gluten friendly option and the staff is very receptive to needs of a celiac. Had the classic pulled pork, jalapeño cheddar sausage and brisket with collard greens, baked beans and potato salad. Delicious! Stop in Pooler Georgia for some friendly staff too.

They have GF items marked on the menu and will mark your ticket for the kitchen. I had the fried catfish, potato salad and collard greens. I haven't had friend catfish in YEARS. It was so good. And the potato salad was almost like mom's. Talk about comfort food!

They have a chain GF menu online that breaks down the options, but I went through the DT as there are so few places to do that GF and I don't think they took it very seriously. It's a risky place since biscuits come with everything, but there is a variety of GF options. They also put my husband's burger and my food in the same bag and there were crumbs. I think eating in and being very specific would be the way to go here. I didn't have a reaction though that I could tell.

Went here for dinner and things were marked gf for gluten friendly. I asked about their sauces and the girl taking my order pulled out an allergen guide and told me all sauces were free of gluten. They marked my food as an allergy, which means they don’t put their cornbread biscuit on your tray. I got a half chicken, collard greens and a baked potato. Food was great and had no reactions!

They have gluten free options and took extra precautions after telling them I was allergic to gluten! This is one of the few places I feel safe eating at. I order their chicken, chilli, corn and their MoCo BBQ sauce (white sauce). The gluten free options are marked on the menu they give at the Concord NC location by Carolina Mills Mall.
— Yes, the establishment is dedicated gluten-free

I was hopeful to get a new restaurant that had “gluten friendly” options, but sadly I had a reaction here. I’m not celiac but still pretty sensitive to gluten. I ordered the Brisket Chili and Coleslaw. When I asked to have “gluten allergy” placed on the order for the kitchen to be aware, they didn’t seem to know how to handle this request. The customer service was great and everyone was very nice, but would not recommend going if you have a gluten intolerance or sensitivity. ☹

This place is great - Gluten free are marked on the menu. They also have a warning in the menu that the GF items are prepared in a kitchen shared with wheat and cross contamination could occur.
The waitstaff is knowledge able and the kitchen worked with us.

My husband really loves barbecue, and with this location having gluten-free items displayed on their menu; I thought we would try this place. I noticed that they have outside seating and a bar inside. They bring cheese muffins out when you are seated. I ordered 2 appetizers, a soup and salad, and a potatoe. For some reason, all the food came out at once while I had sat waiting, watching my husband eat the yummy biscuits that I couldn't eat. The food was delicious, but I was frustrated that they brought all the food out at once and didn't even bring the appetizers out as the appetizer. Next time I am in Hiram, we will try this again and maybe I will get to try the barbecue.

Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac. They helped me navigate the menu and even brought the manager out to ensure the food I ordered was prepared safely.
I had fried catfish that was coated in cornmeal and prepared in a dedicated fryer. They even agreed to prepare my french fries in the same fryer to ensure they were safe! I will be going back very soon!

I’ve been to Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q numerous times in Alabama and see they have one now in Covington GA. They have several items on the menu marked gluten free. Their ribs and meats are fantastic!
I personally love the ribs dry because they have so much flavor. I usually go with the baked beans because they’re perfectly sweet and smoked and the Cole slaw which is sweet and tangy. They put something in the Cole slaw that gives it something extra and I love it.

SO SO GOOD!! My family all has a gluten allergy including celiacs for some of us. The food was delicious! It would be nice if they had gf bread especially for those biscuits they bring out but everything we ate was very good! The waitress helped me figure out how to order from the kids menu since nothing was gf. Meat was all delicious. I got brisket, husband got smoked wings, one kid got smoked turkey and others got the bbq chicken.

Jim n' Nick's is a chain of southern style bbq, they produce their own bbq sauces. There's GF marked on menu but this may not take into account cross contam. Use your discretion, the servers generally are not familiar with gf requirements. I did find one head of back of house, he advised to get the brisket. Most of the other meats at this location are flavored and smoked offsite, so hard for them to tell for example if pulled pork is genuinely gf. The baked potato side dish is affordable and comes with a range of condiments, I steer clear of the bacon bits and have done ok. Modest selection of cocktails, thislocation is all about healthy serves of meat and potatoes.

Food was fantastic! Staff was knowledgeable and accommodating I’m celiac. I didn’t get sick. Menu is clearly marked gluten free and they have an additional food allergy menu. I ordered pulled chicken bbq, red vinegar sauce that comes with it, baked beans, Cole slaw, naked but loaded baked potato, sweet tea. Was fantastic!

All of their bbq and most of their signature sauces are gluten free, and the bbq pork with their original sauce was delicious. They also had several sides labeled gluten free, I ordered the corn on the cob and the coleslaw. While I was a bit underwhelmed by the coleslaw, the corn on the cob was fantastic. When I asked the server about gluten free practices/allergy prep, he was quick to answer and assure me that a glove change, fresh utensils, and care to prevent CC wasn't an issue, and that he would make the kitchen aware to take extra care! I didn't have any reaction, and left wishing I lived near one of their locations!

Horrible experience. Placed an online order, specifically asked for no bread. Called the restaurant and spoke with the take out boy.. I brought to his attention that I placed an order and wanted to alert the kitchen that the plate had an allergy, he responded “we don’t make anything gluten free”… I said… well your menu clearly states GF next to options , so You do…. He said well.. what then. I said , I would like your kitchen to know about the allergy so they can treat it as such .. he said , “ OK FINE!” …. Fast forward I pick up the food, and cheese biscuits were sitting in my food 🤯😤?! I call and speak with the manager … of course I am irritated, I specifically asked for NO BREAD and call to make them aware… she was totally annoyed with me. Never again.

I have eaten at other locations before and they were great. This one was also a great experience. It looked like about half the menu is gluten free. I told the server that I have gluten allergy (celiac) and asked how they handle cross contamination. She said she would let them know and they would change gloves and take precautions to keep it safe. She also told me she double checked that the sauces were gluten free and said they both were. Gluten free items are clearly marked on the menu. The food is always good and I felt safe.

(Update: this is no longer a safe place for people with celiac. We expected the same great service we had for years but during COVID they’ve changed management and no longer adhere to any type of cross contamination rules.)Had a lovely dinner with my boyfriend at this location. I simply told the hostess that I have food allergies and she sent the Kitchen Manager right to our table. He suggested the Smoked Turkey ( with NO WHITE SAUCE!), I got that with a Baked Potato and Fresh Fruit (which was watermelon). It was all delicious, and the portion sizes were great. *Caution on the Turkey* They do use a rub on the Turkey Breast and I noticed a while later I did get the normal itchy "Celiac Rash" that occurs sometimes on my arms. Visited the location again and got the Smoked Ham with no problems at all 😊

We ended up eating dinner twice there as it was so good the first night and I had no reaction. Our hotel was nearby. I had pulled pork, coleslaw and potato salad. I was told the bbq sauce was gf. First night ate outside. Second night did takeout. Server marked order as celiac and they took precautions. Great experience while traveling.

Always check the box that your GF meal is in. Sometimes they forget about the GF thing and throw them on top. Otherwise they are great (they are really good about remaking the order if they do accidentally put the biscuits on top)

When I double-checked the barbecue sauce the server went to the back to look at the “allergy list” and returned saying sauce contained gluten. This varied from other reviews here. I did enjoy the GF brisket, beans and Cole slaw… not sure about sauce. My server was not knowledgeable but not her fault.
