Honestly one of my favourite places, every single bowl can be made gluten free with various different options and I’ve never had any issues eating from here. They’re also open pretty late which is a nice plus since I’m not always able to eat right around dinner time while in University.

It is a fast food restaurant with noodle and rice dishes. Choose your sauce and toppings. Choose your protein. Choose your level of heat and choose your base (noodle, rice noodle, rice, zucchini). Many gluten friendly items.

We had the butter chicken with no naan bread and the pad thai. Both delicious. The butter chicken was too spicy for my kids though.
Delicious and felt fine afterwards.

I’m very symptomatic and the symptoms I experienced tell me there was little done for cross contamination, or there could have been wheat in sauces etc.

Mr celiac son loves this place! They are very careful about cross-contamination, as they have celiac family members as well! Food is delicious as well!

Lots of clearly marked gluten free options. I’ve had 3 different dishes and have never gotten sick. They seem to understand cross contamination. One of my go to lunch places these days! Love the pad Thai. Was told couldn’t get the egg on top cuz it’s cooked on the grill where they cook Nan bread.

CCA advice has changed - they are no longer committed to cross contact reduction! Used to be a safe experience and more than one option can be done gf. A go-to when other safe places in town were closed.

No measures to prevent cross contamination. Put my rice noodles in the pan that just had wheat ones. Use same stirring utensils in all fry pans.
When I said I was celiac and I couldn't eat the food they made me, they stared at me, utterly confused as to what the word "celiac" was. No offer to discount or refund at all. I paid for and waited for something I could not eat.

Good amount of Gluten Free options. Everything is clearly marked on the menu and Marked when delivered. Have ordered numerous times and did not get sick (super sensitive to cross contamination) ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS so much flavour. A must try for sure! Owners are so kind and helpful.

Multiple different noodle substitutes that are safe. Notify the staff and they will inform the chef and kitchen staff. Delicious food, I had the Cambodian jungle curry with BBQ Char Pork. It was incredible! The GF options are marked directly on the menu, as well as vegan options.

Pretty good. Overhead menu has pork marked gf but their recent menu changes have disqualified it. Bummer. Still had several options and my 8yo and i were able to find something we wanted. Good option in a pinch. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

I used to have a lot of good experiences at noodlebox, but celiacs beware, they have warned that efforts to continue to prevent cross contamination won’t likely be sufficient anymore for us who cannot handle that. Still great for gluten intolerant folks.

Their gluten free options very clearly marked on the menu. Went on the reviews of others that they had a good experience. Ordered online and was able to add special notes - we indicated the need for gluten free due to Celiac Disease and ask for all their precautions. All went well.

I usually order a “gluten friendly” bowl from other locations and they are always helpful. Went to this location for the first time as I was in the area and had a horrible experience… I was given the wrong bowl and after I started eating it do they realize and come over and tell me it is my fault for taking the wrong order. So a beware for this location!

Would not recommend for anyone with celiac disease. Very inconsistent, often cross contaminated or the wrong noodle used. It's unfortunate because I really wanted to like this place but it's not worth the risk. My most recent order had some ribbon noodles in it despite me stating several times that I can't have any gluten present.

Went today because they had a sale on their Spicy Peanut Noodle Box. Requested the Rice noodles and said it was to be gluten free. They wrote rice noodles and gluten free on the slip. Got my order to go so I didn't see what was inside until I got to my class. The noodles looked thicker than any rice boodle I had seen before but I was starving so I ate some. After a few bites it didn't taste like rice noodles so I stopped eating, wating until I could look online to what their noodles looked like in pictures.
100% they gave me ribbon noodles, not rice noodles. They gave me the ones made with wheat. So now I get to have horrible symptoms for the next couple weeks.
Food wasn't even that great tasting either. So now I've been glutened off of mediocre food. Skip this location whenever possible.

I went here based on this app to get my GF daughter supper. When I ordered I specifically said I need a meal that is GF, peanut free and tree nut free. I watched them look for a new, clean pan. The owner came to me to ask about my order. I said GF, peanut free, tree nut free. He asked if it was an allergy. I said yes. Her meal came with a label that said no peanuts. My daughter had 3 bites. 20 minutes later we were in the ER with an anaphylactic nut reaction. The next day I went to talk to the owner. He said everyone knows there is peanut butter in our sauce. I told him this was my first visit. He said he thought it was no crushed peanuts on top. It was an ALLERGY! He did not take any ownership or offer any compensation other than a new meal that day. I told him I was not ready to eat there. I do NOT recommend going there if you have any allergies.

SO DELICIOUS. Ordered the spicy peanut noodle box and holy moly I wanna make love to this food. It’s so good. Vegan and gluten free, creamy, nutty, spicy, umami. Added lime and double sauce and ordered with tofu. DEFINITELY eating here again!!

Tried this place as soon as they opened up for the day. I tried the Pad Thai with rice noodles. Let them know you are Celiac and it needs to be gluten free. Ask them to make it with clean utensils and they will.

After specifying I had celiac and that it should be treated like an allergy I watched the person preparing my food use the tongs on my boyfriend's not gf meal and then use them to scoop my meal into the togo container. The deep south location by Ikea has always been great about keeping my meal safe but I won't be back to this location.

I love noodlebox! They always seem to take extra care and use separate utensils so I haven't gotten sick there. I really like everything I've tried and they also have zucchini noodles for those low carb like me. Really yummy sauces.

The owner’s son is celiac so they go above and beyond to make sure meals are safe for celiacs and not cross contaminated. Delicious food!

Don't go here if your very sensitive like me. Reaction afterwards.
No
I actually had a reaction to the food immediately after eating it. I'm very sensitive though, it was not a big reaction but one nonetheless. So I guess probably not recommended if you're really sensitive.
No
Contaminated often! But those without celiac would likely be fine.
No
I went to every Noodlebox in Victoria, BC (where it was started) and when I moved to Surrey, they had just opened one there and we were so happy because we missed it. Then we moved to Chilliwack and one opened in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Couldn’t be happier. Noodlebox is completely customizable when it comes to your order. They’ve got a menu of obviously premade options, but you pick the protein (optional) and spice level to go with the type you picked, but you can pick what type of noodles, or gluten free rice ones, or rice, or “no carb box” with just veggies and meat, etc. If you are a Celiac like me. Most of the flavours are gluten free, except teriyaki. As well, it is lactose free or you can have it dairy free. Just ask which ones those are – but I think they make them with coconut milk anyways. We are both lactose intolerant as well. We also have them take out onions and garlic because those cause us issues too. They can also make it vegetarian, or completely vegan if that’s your thing. They have dedicated spaces and tools and the portions, whether for sit in or takeout (you can call in an order) are absolutely huge with the average box being $10-$14ish. We like the spicy peanut box, gluten free with no onion or garlic, and for 2 boxes, tax, and a 20% tip because we love them, our total comes to $33 for 2 boxes. We need takeout with 3 kids to have a pseudo date in the car.. haha.. and that’s pretty hard to do gluten free, lactose free etc.. BTW, there’s a cheaper kids menu too, drinks, and desserts as well. So happy they came to town right after we did. :)

The menu shows which options can be made gluten free. There is a location in Vancouver, I was happy to see one opened in Abbotsford as well!
very knowledgeable staff. asked if it was allergy vs preference. So good! I wish it existed in ottawa đ
Very knowledgable about celiac. Several options that can be made gluten free or vegan.
