Definitely does not have a dedicated fryer which eliminates a lot of the menu.
A lot of the items marked gluten free require significant modifications to actually be gluten free without cross contamination.
I said I had Celiac and the waitress asked if it was mild or severe which was not confidence inspiring.
A manager does come out and supervise an allergy order though which is nice. Also the waitress was very willing to check with the kitchen about gluten free.

Their menu lists several items as “gluten conscious” which is not appealing to someone with celiac. The server asked me if I had “mild” or “severe” celiac which was a confusing question because I understand celiac .. as celiac…. Regardless, she checked with manager and kitchen and I got a plain salad with tofu. It was pretty sad.

My go to is usually the Cajun chicken sandwich. And they will put it on a gluten free bun for me. I’ve also got apps like their roasted feta and tomatoes. Instead of bread they substitute it for cucumbers for me. Or they have given me Mary brown gf crackers for the guacamole

Tons of options and best of all, a dedicated fryer for fries and they were maybe the best fries I’ve ever had!! I got the blackened chicken sandwich. It sounds like they normally have gf buns but were out. I got a lettuce bun and it was still delicious!!
Had the Beef Vindaloo. Very tasty. Couldn’t have the Naan bread of course. No problems after.

My husband and I Ordered Burgers this past Sunday, we couldn’t believe the gf bun was only $1 up-charge… so cheap! The server told us they do not have a dedicated fryer (come on moxies! Invest) and our options were house salad or Caesar salad instead of fries. Great. Got the meal it was incredible, the bun was perfection! When we got the bill, we realized we had been up-charged for the salads. The extra was $3/each which I understand isn’t much, but it feels wrong to be up-charged for something out of our control. Be aware of extra charges… the burger and salad came out to $26.75 before taxes.

They have a gluten friendly menu that features gf buns and fries. However, they no longer carry gluten free buns, and the fries are made in a shared fryer. Ordered a salad, had a stomach ache afterwards. Beware.

Came in with the family after shopping . Menu items are marked gc. (Gluten conscious). Manager came out to go over the details of what would be gf. The waiter was a bit confused about potatoes , but it was clear there was a process in place to take care of food allergies. Had steak and mashed potatoes with veggies . I also had some guacamole with gf crackers and a lavender lemonade. Food was great. Service caring . Would recommend. Giving 4 stars for safety because that’s the max I give for a place not dedicated to gf.

Incredible staff. Very knowledgeable on all allergies. The gluten free menu had at least 20 options and it’s all made from scratch so they can accommodate to anything. I am also dairy free and had many options. I got the steak salad and it was quite literally the best salad I’ve ever had. My husband got the chipotle mango chicken dish (which is gf df) and it was also so good. The waitress was so great and made sure with the chef that we were good with what we ordered. Highly recommend!

They have a few gf options on the menu. I ordered a burger with a gf bun. I thought it was the best bun ever. Turned out not to be gluten free and I had a very upset stomach later. Could have been a mistake from the kitchen as my server was very informed about the options and seemed very attentive.

They were great giving information on how they would be careful and what they’d do to take precautions which I greatly appreciated. I had the steak salad and I had a reaction. I am celiac so I know there is always a risk and I can’t imagine this has been everyone’s experience as they did seem to care.

Server was very knowledgeable. Menu had tons of Gluten Free options. After placing order we were surprised by the Chef coming out to the table to discuss order and ensure everything that needed to be Gluten Free for our Celiac family member was 100% handled and prepare safely. Food was great and options for baked instead of fried food was offered. Amazing service.

The hostess gave me a separate “gluten conscious” menu, which also described cross-contamination issues. For example, “fried in oil with other wheat products” or “on a grill with other wheat products” - which I appreciate! I settled on the blackened chicken burger, which the waiter said would be grilled in a separate pan to avoid cross-contamination. I couldn’t have the fries because of the shared fryer, but I had a side market salad, which was very tasty. The burger was delicious too! I felt fine afterward.

They have a gluten free menu, it is not designed for people with celiac or allergies as many of the options say they are cooked with other gluten items, however, if you inform them you have celiac/allergy they are accommodating. The menu stated the truffle fries are fried with other things, but when I asked they informed me there is a dedicated fryer, its just next to the other. I got the chipotle mango chicken with jasmine rice and it was great!

The servers are very knowledgeable about gluten and cross contamination. The manager brought the food out separately then all the other food and announced it as gluten free for celiac disease. There was no gluten free menu or symbols on the menu but once asking about the gluten free options there were many options to choose from

The service and care at this location went above and beyond! Our server and the manager both ensured that everything I ordered was safely prepared and thoroughly gluten free. They had THE BEST gluten free buns ever! I had to ask them to make sure they were actually gluten free! They were that good! And they gave me extra ones to take home with me. That was probably the best restaurant experience I’ve had since being diagnosed with Celiac Disease 8 years ago. I was impressed!

Had no problem at Moxies. They have a GF menu & the manager came over once he heard that I have celiac disease. He assured me he would talk to the person preparing my meal & they would do everything they could to ensure no cross contamination eg clean knives, cutting board, etc. They completely understood the precautions that need to be taken. I had a salad. It was delicious & no issues at all. Will definitely go back!

Went to Moxies, confident about GF options after reading the reviews here. They have a “GF” menu that clearly states it’s just to give ideas about potential meals and that we should definitely ask a manager. When I asked for the GF menu, I received no explanations or recommendation. The waitress didn’t seem to know much and I had to ask her to check what I wanted to make sure it was secure. Chose the salmon plate with rice and it was absolutely delicious!

Fabulous! Has a GF menu, GF bun. *Does have a shared fryer w wheat items (it’s clearly marked on the GF menu). So depends on your level of sensitivity or celiac. Waitress asked if it was an allergy. I had the cheeseburger and fries (fried in shared fryer.) I’m gluten sensitive but VERY sensitive, and had no problems. It was so much food there’s no way I could finish it.

GF menu specifies it is not for allergies but the staff were able to help me find something that would be appropriate. The restaurant does not have a separate fryer so the GF menu is very small. The GF menu also specifies that the burgers and some other items are cooked on a grill with wheat items. It doesn’t appear that they substitute the GF burger buns for the bread options offered on other mains but there is one item they sub GF crackers for a crostini.
The food was tasty.

I had a great meal with a great experience here!
I was sceptical at first since the menu doesn’t show any gf items marked.
The waitress was helpful and knowledgeable about what was safe and what wasn’t, due to cross contamination! The manager came to the table to explain how the food would prepped and cooked separately and safely. He also delivered my food to the table!

Just had lunch in the newly revamped location and it was great! Menu does not indicate gf so you must ask and speak with the manager. They do kot have dedicated fryers but seem well informed on cross contamination and gf. Manager spent much time at our table and hand delivered food. Would recommend the burgers on gf bun which was excellent for only $1 more. Fries can be cross contaminated though.

I am extremely happy with the available options Moxies has for celiac patrons. Majority of the menu can be adjusted to fit accommodations and the server/management were upfront about what to stay away from and came out to explain the modifications they’d have to make. Disappointed with servers level of knowledge. She was under the impression that potatoes contain gluten. Server advised that all of the steak dishes were gluten free but after placing my order the chef came out to explain the one I ordered had a flour based sauce. They don't have any dishes marked as gluten free on the menu but they do offer Glutenberg beer and gluten free burger buns.

Upon arriving at Moxies, I was initially excited to see so many “gluten conscious” offerings on the menu; however, as every celiac knows, “gluten conscious/friendly/aware” does not mean gluten free. Sadly, this is the case at Moxies. I appreciate that the staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination and hidden gluten, it was frustrating as, one by one, the choices I made were disqualified due to cc. It’s so disheartening that restaurants don’t try to do better. I finally settled on Lahksa soup (which I had eat with rice since their “rice noodles” had flour in them?!??) and it was good - just a let down after thinking I would have a number of options to choose from. So close, Moxies. I wish you’d do better.

We went to Moxie's for dinner last night because it's always been a solid choice for me for a positive experience re getting a tasty reliably gluten-free meal.
On sitting down, I was extremely disappointed to discover there is no longer a gfree menu, and options are also not marked on the main menu. When I asked about my options, the server sent over the manager. She indicated it's a corporate decision; they think they can give us a better experience by talking with their customers who have allergy issues and communicating one-on-one with them. Corporate has made the assumption that everyone who chooses a gfree meal does it because they have to for medical reasons and that it isn't just a choice to reduce wheat in their diet.
As an adult, I would much prefer to be able to see which items are inherently gfree and which items can be modified, choose a preferred and a backup option, then speak with the manager. It would also be faster and more streamlined for the manager. As it was, we got into a whole big discussion while we weighed this option over that. I've always had a good experience at Moxie's, and appreciate the care they take with my food issues, and appreciate that they've always had a manager come speak with me when i tell the server my need for a gfree meal, but i really think corporate has dropped the ball on this one.
In the end, I chose the salmon (with a modified lemon sauce), with jasmine rice instead of ancient grains, plus veg of green beans and roasted squash. It was lovely, and reliably gfree.
I just argue that corporate has gone down the wrong path with their menu decision.
