Ruscello was super yummy! Not a ton of GF options but a decent amount. I'm GF, DF. I had a steak salad and french fries. Fries are in a shared fryer. All of the servers were knowledgeable. Menu is marked with GF items. One non-vegan dessert option.

The Nordstrom Cafe is inside Nordstroms and has several gluten free menu items. The E Bar (coffee) is just “outside” the Nordstrom Store at City Creek Mall and has excellent coffee and lots of GF snack options.

Plenty of gluten-free options. My celiac daughter was very happy! Pizza, pasta and flatbread for spinach dip!

This place has an abundance of options that are gluten free! Some appetizers, most salads & entree pastas can be modified to gluten free pasta that gets cooked in a separate pot for zero cross contamination. Pizzas have a gluten free crust option that can be made on a special platter for no cross contamination in the pizza oven.

My daughter ordered the gluten free pasta. This is her standard order. It’s good for what it is.

Lovely place, but I was sick after my salad (I’m a very sensitive Celiac). They also advised me the gf pasta is boiled with the regular pasta

My friend and I were looking for a quiet place to have lunch near Columbus Circle and they did a great job. Several nice appetizers were labeled GF on the menu, and most of the pasta dishes could be made GF.

GF items are marked with a cross. GF pasta and flatbreads available. Ask to speak to the chef and they will help you out! They are very knowledgeable and cautious when seriousness is communicated. No dedicated fryer so watch out for crispy add ons.

I had the crab, mango, and arugula salad. It usually comes with a toasted baguette, but obviously that was left off. The kitchen is visible to the dining room, and I could hear the waiter report to the chef and the chef report to the rest of the crew that they needed to take celiac precautions. They all switched gloves and use clean utensils. Apparently their previous manager was celiac so they all seemed to be on the same page. The salad was extremely delicious!

Margarita Pizza was delicious and waiter/Gabe took extra care. Made pizza in oven to avoid cross contamination!

My non-Celiac child wanted a snack while we were out walking through the mall and Nordstrom. We decided to stop in here after seeing the display of pastries, and the cashier asked if we’d like to see a menu. I looked at the time and saw it was nearing lunch, and I still needed to stop at two more places. I asked, unhopeful, if they had any options that were gluten free and safe for a Celiac, and she said yes—anything with a cross next to it.
I also have a mast cell condition which is often triggered by histamines or histamine-liberating foods, so that’s often more limiting than gluten (at least in Seattle). But with my new meds, I substituted spinach (a major trigger for me) for carrots, and got the 6oz petite steak with potatoes (which are a nightshade and can be problematic for other MCAS sufferers, but if I limit potatoes to once, maybe twice a week spaced out, I’m fine).
Anyhow, both our meals were delicious and I’m happy to report I had neither a mast cell reaction nor a murderously painful gluten reaction! Plus, it’s probably the least expensive place I, personally (with all my health issues), can eat safely at.
If you’re okay with a limited, albeit fair-priced (says the Seattleite, mind you) menu of safe meal options, this was great for us and I’d recommend. My meal was cooked to perfection and they took the “gluten allergy—gluten contact allergy: Celiac Disease” (verbatim what I ask servers to relay to the chef) note seriously; and even changed the towel the expediter used to wipe the edges of my plate off as to not risk cross-contamination.
I greatly appreciated the care, attention to detail, and the expertise of the chef, cooks, and overall food handlers as well.

Glutened!!! Ordered the gluten free pasta for my child. They gave us gluten noodles. This is obvious because now she is getting violently ill. Unforgivable.

I was so impressed with the upstairs cafe. The waitresses were all super knowledgeable about gluten and they double and triple checked our order to make sure they knew who needed gluten free food. They had brown rice pasta for my daughter and she was so happy.

Nordstrom Cafe always a classic. Our server was awesome! Understood celiac and was able to accommodate! Had a very nice lunch. They offer gf pasta which I did not have but it was easy to cobble together a few GF items to eat.

Good salad and clearly marked GF dishes.
Had the chicken and goat cheese salad with champagne vinaigrette. It was nice to have an option while shopping downtown.

This place has good ton of gluten-free option

Absolutely unsafe. I ordered the cilantro chicken lime salad with an allergen note, and found a single strip of tortilla in my salad. I know for a fact their tortilla strips are wheat based (and I verified this with management) and while they were apologetic it still seemed like a pretty big mess up, especially since they knew it was for a celiac customer and were supposedly using extra safe practices. I definitely won’t be eating here again. At least they comped the salad....

Closing in September. Had a few options but not many
Yes
Excellent food, but should be listed as $$. I had an $18 Salmon salad. They have many gluten-free possible items, be sure to let them know. Excellent service. I did not get sick.
Yes
I’ve eaten here once pre-Nima sensor and once post. I had the same meal each time (kale apple salad and creme brûlée). The salad is labeled GF, and creme brûlée is naturally GF. I tested the salad and it Nima tested GF, I was assured both dishes would be prepared safely. Did not get sick either time.
Not celiac safe!!! Despite numerous requests to remind chef, I’m contaminated by the chicken, apple, goat cheese salad. Stay away if true allergy.
No
Ordered a salad with grilled chicken that said gluten free. Got so sick right away and was glutened with cross contamination. Blacked out at table as I have celiac. Also let my server know about my allergy. EMT’s came. Manager said they would call me and never did😢😢

If you are celiac and need to eat safely, this restaurant can accommodate. The GM is celiac and has a separate set of kitchen utensils and pans that are not cross contaminated. Ask for the GM.

I've ordered pasta here. It's okay. However, I was served normal spaghetti once. I took a bite and asked the waitress if it was gluten free since it didn't seem right. She went back to the kitchen, and came back out and informed me it was the regular pasta. Awesome. I haven't eaten there since. It's super uncool to be so careless about food allergies.
No
Staff tries very hard to make any accommodations requested to insure a GF meal. I usually bring my own GF bun or bread. They do not have a GF menu but will make suggestions or adjustments.
Food is delicious, but they need to post more GF options, and staff need to exude more confidence and clarity about ingredients.
The staff is very helpful and occasionally will send out the chef to assure accuracy. I have always gotten the salmon cooked in a pan instead of the grill (other allergies) also salads with chicken and shrimp, risotto and the pasta cooked in a separate pan/waterThey make a huge effort to please you!

few gluten free options with gluten free menu

They had no idea what I meant by gluten free. And they were rude. (Well, one girl was rude; the other apologized for her, which is still not okay.) No way will I ever come back.
A few nice GF options. If not too busy, you can take a menu, sit down to read the menu at a table, then get up to order. It is not terribly convenient & would go more often if full service. Will never go if crowded.
Gluten free pasta available
Yes
Excellent food, takes some extra time of you order GF pasta, as they make it to order. Staff well educated on GF diet & CC issues in kitchen. Many options, clearly marked on menu by a small " cross" next to menu item. All pastas can be offered GF, upon request. These are not marked GF on the menu ( FYI) , you must request these. Multiple GF desserts that are amazing!
Yes
Gluten free options, and very good. It is a semi-service restaurant, where you order and pay first and then they serve everything at your table. Very professional, good service. One star off because I wish it were full service like some other locations.
Several options on the menu.

A few gf salads. A couple a gf entrees. Probably your best option for eating at the mall.
I have always loved Nordstrom Cafe salads. I ordered the Chicken Apple Goat cheese salad and it was yummy. Told cashier I was celiac and the kitchen changed their gloves for me and were extra careful.

The servers are educated about celiac and they take precautions to make sure they do not cross-contaminate. They have more selections than Starbucks, and they're cheaper, too!

Several options on menu which can be altered to be gluten free. Shrimp risotto dish was amazing.
Great place to grab a light meal at the mall. I have eaten here a couple of times and not had a reaction. Items on the menu are marked that can be gluten free.

They have gluten free pastas and other gluten free options. I got the steak, it was very good.
Good tasty food GF is marked by a * on their menue
Bummer. Only have GF pasta, and it takes 30 minutes. Didn't tell us that when we ordered it. Sloooow and not many options for my 10 year old with cd. They ended up buying the kids pasta, it came out really cold. :(.

Nordstrom Cafe saved the day when we found out that Margaritaville at Navy Pier can no longer do GF. Fantastic food and service, all staff was knowledgable about allergens. Mom and Dad had shrimp over risotto with asparagus and the kids had mac & cheese. A pleasant surprise!
