So excited to eat fun food at a lovely little café. Mngr Nevin was delightful & informative and very concerned to alleviate my concerns. They have a frequent visitor card, so I’ll be back often!
Fun to hear all the other positive comments while dining, too.
Great job here!!!!
All crepes are GF. They use rice flour in the crepes and in white sauces ( for savory crepes). Had a savory California. Comes with side salad. It was delicious. Well worth the price - which is on the higher end for order-at - counter, but the atmosphere is cute, light and fresh. Highly recommend.
I ordered the turkey, brie and grapes crepe gluten free. Coffee was amazing. Crepe was good, but not great. I ate all the filling. I will go back and try a sweet crepe as savory might not be my thing.
When I ordered, the person making the food threw away his gloves, washed hands and put fresh on.
Atmosphere is great.
I didn't watch them make a food so no commentary on cross contact.
But all of the crepes can be swapped to a gluten+dairy free outside. & they were able to give me a chocolate drizzle that didn't have milk.
I'm not sure how good they are about being able to swap out/not use cheese if that's in the base crepe.
Service was good. A little slow, but cooking takes time. I got an off menu gluten free dairy free crepe with strawberries and chocolate.
By off menu I mean I asked for exactly that & they very kindly made it work. It was very tasty, and as far as I can tell no stomach issues.
Sweet Paris was a nice change from your average American breakfast joint.
There was a good variety of options to choose from so everyone was able to find something that sounded yummy! The restaurant was filled with bright, France-themed decor that felt bright even though we visited on a cloudy day. The service was relatively quick even with a steady flow of patrons. All crepes that were ordered in my group got a thumbs up in terms of flavor (although my husband thought the Oreo Cookies n' Cream Crepe was a little too sweet for his taste)! I enjoyed the Minnesotan Crepe, and the portion kept me full for hours!
A definite must stop for gluten free! The most delicious sweet or savory gf crepes in a clean, fun French-like vibe setting! Many gf crepe “flavors” to choose from. Indoor & outdoor seating. I ordered the cinnamon apple crème brûlée crepe and it was not only amazing but a generous size. I did not get sick after eating here and only wish I lived here so I could go everyday!!
gluten free crepes !!!
This is a creperie so it is a bit different from a typical cafe. They offer a gluten free crepe batter that is brown compared to the regular batter. Kind of whole wheat color. The staff was knowledgeable and took some precautions like changing gloves and wiping down the prep area. Definite treat and worth a try, though it gets expensive quick but you don't shop or eat at the Domain if you are on a budget.
I was excited to find a gf option in Sugarland. I ordered the Apple cinnamon crème brûlée, sadly the crepe was flavorless and the apples had very little cinnamon. Over priced for what you get.
Found out that crepes can be made gluten free. I told the server that I had celiac & needed gluten free. There was no problem with the order or the food. I found it very good, & I didn’t get sick. They had the usual restaurants’ warning about the possibility of CC, but I encountered none.
Very expensive for the quality. Afterwards, I had stomach issues for the remainder of the day.
Gluten free crepes were delicious!
Lovely clean and friendly restaurant. Not a GF specific menus however all crepes can be made using GF batter. Waffles not available GF. Food was freshly prepared, hot and tasty so as a GF persons spouse I had a lovely crepe too! Quick, attentive and tasty menus -highly recommended for a lite bite.
Fresh Made individually as soon as you order both indoor or outside. Courteous and pleasant atmosphere. Alcoholic beverages offered and everything delivered to you as soon as ready to be delivered.
Amazing! They have a gluten free crepe that appears to be a buckwheat mixture and it was very good! I had the turkey grapes and brie crepe and it was amazing! All the non-gluten free people with me also enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere is nice and I can't wait to travel through San Antonio again so we can come back! Excited to try one of the sweeter options next time! Just come!
I went there yesterday after reading reviews and was very disappointed. The person at the counter had no idea what was safe to eat except for ONE! crepe that was marked as vegan on the menu. Nothing was available about gluten and the fillings. The same guy also asked me if the fillings were safe. Like I’m supposed to know what they do in the kitchen and can magically know if they’ve put flour in any of the fillings.
The crepe was $11 and definitely not worth the price or the risk. They only wipe down the grill. I checked their online menu looking for gluten info on the fillings as well as asked for info and could not find anything. All in all, way too risky and too expensive for one option.
Menu is marked above each section gluten free / vegan batter available. Staff was nice, the manager spoke to me, was super accommodating, and went personally to tell the chefs to clean the griddle and change gloves. Food was amazing! I had a crepe, and the color was different from regular crepes, but still delicious.
