Usually I would say they’re very allergy conscious but my boyfriend just picked us up takeout from there and got home to find out they did not give me a gluten free bun and now I can’t eat it. They do have a gluten free menu and things are marked, but definitely double check and be wary of cross contamination because I worked here for two years and I can promise you they don’t have a gluten free fryer like it says in another review.
The food is delicious and if you stress your allergy they will be careful, but definitely double check when you get your food and when you order.

No dedicated gluten free menu at this location. Waiter was very knowledgeable. He was able to confirm wings (with except of honey old bay and Thai sauces) were GF. He also confirmed the crab dip and fries were GF. The burgers are GF if ordered without a bun. While the selection was slim. The food was excellent and the staff very informed.

They have a separate GF menu, you just need to ask for it! The fryer is NOT a dedicated GF fryer!!!!!! I had a burger on a GF bun with a side salad. It was okay, nothing special, but I didn’t get sick.

I cannot recommend this place enough! I called ahead to see if they had a gluten free menu, which they do, and the bartender I spoke with said she is also gluten free and walked me through their safety practices. When I got there that night the entire restaurant, from the host to the server to the kitchen staff, was aware I was coming in and checked in with me at every stage of the meal. My burger was cooked in a separate pan and it was delicious!! I was blown away by how knowledgeable, thoughtful and understanding the entire team was! I will be back again and again!!

They have a gluten free menu and the manager even came over to walk me through what I could have and ensure that it would be made separately. French fries are made in a separate fryer too. No reaction after.

I have only eaten here once since my celiac diagnosis and it was also the last time I will eat there. I asked for the GF menu, told the waiter if have celiacs, confirmed he marked my order as GF, and confirmed when he brought out my food it was GF (he stated he asked the cook to confirm before he brought it out).
The GF bun on my burger was huge and dry so I didn't eat much of it. The spinach artichoke dip was good but now I know it should have been served with celery and not chips, I think this is where I was contaminated.
For an $80 meal (including my husband's food) I was expecting better options and for the cook to serve the meal GF like it was ordered instead of giving me the chips that would be served with a regular order. Not sure if the waiter don't tell them or they just didn't care but I was sick for a week and won't be back.

Gluten Free Menu with several options. No GF dedicated fryer, but you can still have wings etc if you aren’t sensitive. Good food. Super fast service. Definitely recommend!!

Separate gf menu with gf buns and good artichoke dip with celery sticks. Thought waitress knew what she was doing but brought out chicken sandwich on regular bun so had to send it back and they made a new one. Only broccoli or cole slaw as a side dish. Wouldn’t go back but at least had gf options that were decent and didn’t get sick.

This was a great experience. Menu is small but there’s enough to order from. And the food was delicious. The best gluten free bun I’ve had.

Such a terrible experience. Water glasses were dirty. GF burger was accidentally delivered to the wrong table... That tells you how much they pay attention to allergies and cleanliness here. In the end the food was good, but took far to long and encountered far too many issues along the way. There are much better dining options in Westminster, don't waste your time or money here.

The Greene Turtle does has gf buns (Udi’s). Their burgers are great! Their fries are made in a shared fryer, so I had a side of chips instead (mark gf on the bag). I have only done takeout, so I can’t comment on eating in and the gf menus at the restaurant.

They do have a gluten-free menu. I ordered a sandwich on a gf bun. I was lucky my bf ordered a regular sandwich as well thus was obvious my was NOT gluten-free. The waitress said was gf. We sent it back and finally got a new one. I ordered without dairy, specifically no butter on my broccoli but came covered it it. They do have gf food. Just be vigilant on what you get!

Food was good! But..30 mins later I was sick as a dog. The only thing it could be was this food. I was so sad. I had the chicken sandwich wrapped in lettuce and the broccoli. Chicken was a little dry but good flavors. Broccoli was awesome. If I didn’t get sick I would say this is a great place to go.

Don’t bother asking for the gluten free menu. Although they have one it’s old and they no longer carry most of the items. They should throw the gluten free menus away and stop advertising they are gf.

I ordered BBQ pork and my daughter got a bacon cheeseburger on a GF bun. Fries are in a shared fryer so we got soup and salad. The soup had crackers on the side they forgot to remove and the salad had croutons. They quickly fixed that problem and brought a whole new one. I would say this a a good option for eating out with Celiac if you are clear about what you need / want with the waitstaff.

Attentive staff and super knowledgeable. Great experience and several options!
They have gluten free buns! However I do not think they have a dedicated fryer. I had a breakfast sandwich and tots. It was very good and No stomach discomfort but that’s a hit or miss for me. I have a gluten intolerance and most of the time I have no issue with cross contamination. If you have celiac you may want to avoid.
The worst GT location, I've been to each multiple times. This location has served me raw meat, gluten instead of gf, always messes up all orders. No longer has a dedicated frier. Middletown and Newark locations are fine.
No
Nov 21, 2019. Ate lunch at this location. They have a GF menu (I will post photo) with several options. Interestingly, their burgers are not on the GF menu even without bun. Apparently, a seasoning used is not GF. I had a grilled chicken lettuce wrap, Caesar salad w/o croutons, crab soup and jalapeño poppers.

horrible. I ordered a Angry Orchard Rose - waitress brought me a Bud Light, twice. when I realized the first time I went to the bar to get the right thing and explain why it was unsafe what she did - she began to argue with me and said I was wrong. when she poured the second glass, she poured it from the tap labeled with Angry - but it was Bud Light again - clearly the handles were not correctly labeled with the tap lines. she didn’t say sorry once and showed no compassion for the fact that I was now breaking out in hives.

Good burgers and GF bun (extra charge). Limited GF sides. I've eaten here many times and have never gotten sick.
Very good. $5 burgers on Wednesday. I had chicken burger. The bun was grilled and they came with a bag of chips. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Manager was very helpful with ensuring a GF meal was ordered, including swapping the included side of fries (cross contaminated oil) with a salad. However, the back of the house put croutons on my salad. I worry about how attentive the the back of the house is when an error like this is made. I’m not sure the kitchen understands celiac is a medical disease whereby a stray crouton can make someone very sick, for days. Fortunately, the error was easy to see and simple to fix, and the GF bun used for my burger was quite good.
Have a good gluten free menu! Got the chicken Chesapeake burger with a gluten free bun and it was delicious, but the bun fell apart very easy as usual for gluten free..
I ordered a gluten free bun and grilled chicken sandwich. Had no problem. Great to know in a pinch late at night after driving 6 hours to get to the beach there are options near by as most places close by 10.
Yes
Should have left when our waitress stated that the gluten-free menu was just the build your own burger menu copied verbatim onto a page title gluten-free. Staff is given no education on menu items' ingredients or preparations. I was told there was a gluten-free wrap for my sandwich, but it arrived on a bun. Waitress was annoyed when I checked to make sure this was a gluten-free item & not an error. Needless to say, despite my careful choices of a garden salad and dry burger with only lettuce, I ended up very sick. There are many safe restaurant options in Carroll County, so skip this one & enjoy a meal elsewhere.

I ordered from the gluten free menu. I was sick by the time I finished dinner. I'm gluten intolerant. So I lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks. Won't ever go back again.
We have friends who go here every time they come here, and now we know why. The food, while it is bar food, was fantastic. I had the burger with GF bun - with guacamole, pico, and crab dip (?!?!) - not even kidding! The Caprese salad was decent, and my (non-GF) SO ate the WHOLE Philly cheesesteak (um, that never happens). It was a little loud and there was a wait, but it died down not long after we were seated. There is a TV at every table along the wall where we sat, and we thoroughly enjoyed the snowboarding show that was on ESPN. The service was good, and the manager came and checked on us. They have a gluten free menu, and while I don't know exactly how sensitive I am, I didn't have any problems. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised and will definitely return!!
Dedicated GF menu and excellent service. GF bun was tasty.
Yes
Friendly staff and cool atmosphere looking right at the ocean. We got burgers on GF buns and the buns were falling apart. Perhaps the food would’ve been better if we ordered a different option.
Ate at the Rehoboth location. Did have a limited gf menu. It was ok. Gf bread for hamburgers , no fries, I had the chicken meal on gf menu.
they have a gluten free menu! Got turkey burger with a gluten free bun. Even the crab dip was gluten free (got it on burger YUM). Waitress wasn’t sure if the chips of the side were gluten free so I got chili was on the side that was listed on gluten free menu and it was so delicious
