We’ve eaten here several times over the last year. Gluten free menu is generous in variety. Each time server and hostess have been well informed or will check on safety of items. GF order is delivered by a manager with an Allergy marked wooden indicator. Ive had different tasty meals including fish and chips, fried calamari as well as some chicken dishes. The clam chowder was delicious. No ill effects.
Unfortunately this place has been a hit or miss. Labelled my food correctly yet again there were gluten full chicken tenders. I have been celiac long enough to know when I have gluten full or gluten free food. This isn’t the first time it has happened. Last time they told me there’s a “language barrier.” That really made me angry. Hire people who can ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND AN ALLERGY!!!!!!!!
Put a gluten flatbread in a gf box and bag, which my son ate and became sick from that evening. I called to speak with the manager the next day about it, he said it was his initials on the box and asked how my son was and that he would look into everything and call me back. No call back! I had to call later that night same manager said the Area Director would call me shortly. I missed his call, called him back 10 min later and his phone was off, he called me back the next day, was apologetic and said they would go do training at the location again. He sounded defeated as I also told him we had eaten in the location a few weeks prior and servers were delivering marked allergy items with other food in their hands. Only managers should be doing this with nothing else in their hands. I emailed on the website and Dir if Ops called me quickly and informed that they and others are going back to train at that location this week. We won’t bring my son back anytime soon. Overall a disappointing experience and a restaurant that we thought we could trust. We know places are short staffed and this location is new, but the basics for what these restaurants are known for are not being followed. Trust lost in this house.
We've been to other 110 Grill locations and have had great experiences. The Hanover location is new, but close to home, so we've tried it twice. The first time the service was very slow, which we chalked up to having only just opened. The second time was also slow, even though they'd been open long enough to work out the kinks. More importantly, they are supposed to bring orders prepared with allergies in mind specially marked and delivered by a manager. They did not do this, and we had to send back a burger because the server did not know if it was gluten free. The manager came over to apologize and said the burger would be comped, but it took them 45 minutes to return with a properly prepared burger. By then, everyone else had finished eating, so we just boxed up the burger and left. And to make matters EVEN worse, the burger caused a reaction when finally eaten at home, suggesting it had been contaminated.
Stumbled across this restaurant while on a ski trip in Massachusetts and it was one of the best meals of my life! Nearly everything on the menu can be made gluten free including fish and chips, calamari, and beignets. The manager brings out all gluten free dishes separately. I felt very safe eating there and all staff were knowledgeable about gluten free.
finally trying this place after my celiac diagnosis and i was not disappointed! i had the fish and chips, which was delicious, and when i told my server about having celiac disease, she was very knowledgeable about the severity of cross contamination. my group also split a brownie sundae, because all of the deserts are gluten free!
