Haven’t had to try anywhere else in O’Hare to eat and honestly wouldn’t try anywhere else because they were soooo good here about taking every precaution to eliminate cross contamination.

They were super kind and went out of their way to avoid any cross contamination. Pulling ingredients directly from the kitchen when I said I have celiacs and changed gloves. Super friendly staff.

When I asked about gluten free options they said chicken or steak were safe. All bowl toppings were pulled fresh to avoid cross contamination and staff washed hands. Steak was delicious!

Be sure to have cash on hand to tip! They go above and beyond to keep you safe but unfortunately you can’t tip with a card.
If you’re veg/vegan, know that the rice bowl comes with beans as an option, so you could do that with vegan toppings like the lettuce, corn, guac, etc and be GF + Vegan :)
Celiac protocol is fantastic here. Knowledgeable and tasty food

There’s a sign that says to ask about their gluten free options. The server asked if I have celiac. When I said yes he told me what I could have. He washed his hands, put on new gloves and pulled all of the toppings from a different area. I’m vegetarian but he told me the veggies are cooked on a shared grill and weren’t safe. I ended up with a rice and bean bowl dressed up with lots of toppings.

Highly recommend. When I told them I’m celiac the worker immediately changed gloves, informed me what wouldn’t be safe, and opened up fresh bags of lettuce, cheese, etc to dress my burrito bowl.
They are priceless. Tip them well. ♥

I asked for wheat free. The guy at the burrito press didn’t really understand, but an older gentleman said “celiac?”, and I said “yeah”. He then took the order up himself and took all of the ingredients from the fridge (rather than the normal work area) with their own spoons. The taste was great!

Incredibly careful! Washes hands, gets new gloves, and pulls new ingredients with new scoop for all items without being asked. Aware of what is safe and not safe with cross contamination. Able to get chicken bowls or steak bowl.

Located in Terminal 3
It was clear that they have a set protocol for celiac orders. The person helping me put new gloves over his existing gloves and requested new ingredients for the bowl I ordered. I wish the menu indicated the gf choices but I am very appreciative that they had staff trained on celiac disease and that I was able to get a safe meal at the airport.

They washed hands, changes gloves, and used a new scoop for the rice, beans, and meat. Then they took all the toppings from a new container. Tasted great, safest I have felt eating at an airport!

The attendant was very fast pointing out which items of the menu were gluten free-friendly! The second attendant immediately told me he washed his hands and proceeded to wear a fresh pair of gloves, even without being asked. The airport needs more places like this!

They ask if you're celiac or intolerant and tell you the options accordingly. For celiacs you can only get the bowl but that is already one more thing than everywhere else! For me they changed gloves and used all new bags and new ingredients, reducing cross contamination as much as possible. I haven't gotten sick, so I give it 5 stars as the food is great and it's a gret option for celiacs while travelling (which we know can be a pain)

Sign mentions gf options, person making bowl asked about allergies after I mentioned gf, and changed gloves. Also grabbed my lettuce, cheese, and onion/cilantro (my only add-ins) from fresh packages instead of from contaminated containers! Food is decent. I’ve never been taken care of so respectfully at an airport before.

I have celiac. I want to provide some details here as I think anyone who has struggled with this disease will appreciate them. When I told the guy on the burrito line that I was interested in GF food, he asked specifically if I had celiac. When I said yes, he immediately took off his plastic gloves and disappeared in the back. He came back with wet hands - he had washed them - and then put on new gloves. For celiac, he recommend the bowl with either chicken or steak. He recommended against other items. Then, as he made his way down the line, he used a small disposable cup (like you would for a serving of ice cream) to scoop out the items - lettuce, tomato, corn, etc. I really appreciate this since there was no way there could be contamination from a contaminated spoon. Overall, I was impressed with their process, which reflected good understanding about safety. And - he cared. Food was good.

Staff was nice. When I asked about gluten free options, the worker asked if it was celiac or preference. When I said celiac, he let me know what my options were then proceeded to wash his hands then used fresh ingredients like cheese and salsa so as not to serve me contaminated items. Appreciated their knowledge and readiness to accommodate!! It’s really hard to find celiac safe airport food traveling so thank you, Burrito Beach!

Amazing!! I was told exactly what I could and couldn't eat as a celiac, they were kind and took it seriously, and I got a burrito bowl that's good. Couldn't ask for more. I got a little emotional at the checkout because it was all so easy and respectful.

Five stars for safety. I watched my bowl being made and their practices were safe! The experience was stressful—when I told the server I had celiac he said, “I’m taking my break” and stormed away. His supervisor on the line called him back and he begrudgingly made my bowl (I got the sense that he was new and I came at a time when he was feeling overwhelmed). I know celiac can be frustrating to accommodate but I was already feeling anxious when I walked up, as I always do when ordering somewhere new, and had been friendly and inquired about whether they could accommodate celiac. The reaction made me want to cry. I think the experience here depends on the day and the employee. Their practices are excellent relative to most airport restaurants.

Their overhead menu simply read "ask us about the gluten free options" so when it was my turn to order and I said I had a gluten allergy, they asked if it was a sensitivity or Celiac. I am Celiac, so they then proceeded to change gloves and told me the chicken or steak were safe. I chose red rice, chicken, and a little bit of black beans. The same server stayed with me for the whole construction of my bowl. For cheese he opened a brand new bag for me. For salsa, he used a new plastic cup to scoop. I really appreciate how much care they took! The chips are safe, too.y husband and I had a very long layover so it was worth going through security lines twice to get such a safe and filling meal! My bowl was also packaged separately from my husband's.

I thought everyone was kidding, however I needed a place to eat on a layover, and airports are notoriously awful for celiacs. I have my bag with snacks, but we all know we'd prefer a burrito bowl. They were extremely knowledgeable, immediately asked if I was Celiac, changed their gloves and all ingredients came from previously unopened stashes with new spoons. I almost cried. I wasn't going to be able to eat for another like 6 hours after an already 3 hour flight. Thank God for places like this. I got a burrito bowl with chicken. No tortillas are safe as they're cross contaminated.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to post at this place. I had a connecting flight in Chicago and checked the app on a whim—I was only two gates away from this place and would never have thought to check. They were very kind, thorough, and made my bowl with a combination of items from the bar and ones that hadn’t been used yet. I got a carne asada bowl with black beans, red rice, lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream. I would skip the rice next time and see if I could try one of their salsas. (The person helping me did not seem to feel good about the salsas on the line, and I was in a hurry so I skipped it.) highly recommended!

Like everyone else has said, once I asked about the gluten free options, the staff knew to ask allergy or preference. They use clean gloves, only pull from allergy friendly containers, and do what they can to ensure there is no cross contamination. The guy who made my bowl was not super friendly, but as long as I don’t get sick, I’m cool with that! Taking off a star because my portion size felt smaller than it should have been and because it was just meh food.

Hoping the address is right - at the Burrito Beach at K4 in O’Hare. As soon as I asked for them to change their gloves because of celiac, they did so, the first person told his colleague to change her gloves and she pulled out cheese from the fridge underneath the counter. Originally my son asked for ground beef and as soon as the first person dishes it up, he realized that the ground beef had gluten so he dumped that bowl, changed his gloves and started over. So nice!!

Had high hopes for this place based on the reviews but after asking for the gluten free menu and options the guy said the only thing I could have was steak, chicken, rice, and beans.
I almost walked away but instead asked if that meant all of the toppings too and he clarified I could have all of the toppings. He didn't change his gloves and I had to tell every other person there I had an allergy so they would change their gloves.
Have no idea if the chips it came with are gf. If I didn't specifically ask something I didn't get an answer. Felt like I was inconveniencing them with questions. The food is okay. Got the steak bowl and guac

On their menu board it says “ask me about our gluten free options.” When I did, they asked if I was celiac. He then told me my options (bowl with chicken or steak) and went to wash his hands and change gloves. Then for all the toppings he opened new tubs from the fridge under the front counter so there was no chance of cross contamination. Very pleased with the service I received and wasn’t sick. The staff was very educated. As soon as I said celaics someone removed their gloves, washed their hands and put on new gloves. They gave me prepackaged individual sour cream, and salsa instead of the ones already out, and got my guac out of a seperate bin so it wasnt cross contaminated. I wish every airport had a spot like this. This made my day.

Ate here yesterday before my flight home. I was actually flying out of Terminal 1 and had to walk to Terminal 3 where Burrito Beach is located. It was a long walk but worth it. They took the necessary precautions and informed what I could have in my bowl. It was delicious and I had no issues. That got some ingredients from the back and everything was prepared right in front of me. The manager and staff were knowledgeable and knew how to properly do celiac safe gluten free.

Wonderful experience at Burrito Beach. As soon as I told the employee that I have celiac disease he immediately took off his gloves, washed his hands, and put on new gloves, announcing to the rest of the staff that he was helping someone with celiac. I asked a few questions about what I could or could not have and he knew immediately if it was gluten free or not. He also automatically started a bowl for me because I assume the other options (nachos, tacos, quesadilla, burrito) were not gluten free.
When putting together my bowl, he used a different serving utensil to scoop out the rice and meat. For the other toppings he pulled out an unused container of each (lettuce, cheese, etc.) from below the counter. It was clear he knew exactly what to do to keep the food safe for a celiac to eat. I will definitely eat there again if I am ever in Terminal 3 at O'Hare.
