The food was excellent and huge proportions. The staff pulled cheese and other items out of brand new bags. They were very helpful even tho they were very busy. I am very sensitive and had no reactions to the burrito bowl.

After walking around Ohare forever trying to find food and nobody willing to do anything gluten free, I approached this establishment and it is marked on their menu that they have gluten free options available. I asked the woman behind the counter about their gluten free options and she said nearly everything was gluten free and asked if I was celiac. I said yes. She immediately rattled off what I could not have due to cross contamination. She then took her gloves off and went to wash her hands. It was a very refreshing experience after walking thru the airport and being told “No” by every other restaurant. The food was delicious!

They did nothing. I asked the man working behind the counter if they had gluten free options and he just made my bowl with out changing any of the utensils or changing gloves. Don’t eat here

The quality and quantity doesn’t matter. If you have celiacs and you go here, you’re going to get sick. It doesn’t matter how it tastes or what ingredients they use

This place was good and knowledgeable. They changed gloves and even had different containers for corn and salsa that aren’t contaminated. The only thing is they didn’t do that for the chicken so the spoon and chicken might have been contaminated by flour tortillas. I would make sure next time that the chicken is safe.

Went up to ask question was unimpressed with the response... Not very good at the whole customer service piece. Also just FYI they “don’t do sides”. That’s fine but the attitude was unpleasant.

After reading the reviews I asked before I ordered if they could pull my food from below for celiac and they said yes then proceeded to plop my food into a bowl straight from the line where the spoons touch flour tortillas and go right back in the bin. They told me I could eat it because they changed their gloves. Not enough time to stop anywhere else in my layover so having to rely on the snacks I packed for my full day of flying....

It was great! I told them I had celiac disease and had to eat gluten free. The worker immediately washed their hands, changed their gloves, and told me what items contained gluten. I got a burrito bowl. You can also get tacos on corn tortillas, among other options. They scooped the rice, meat, and beans with a clean scoop. When it got to the other toppings they scooped from containers from under the counter that hadnt been touched yet. Very great service, especially from a fast food restaurant in a busy airport.

They did a great job. Asked if I was celiac and then got everything that could be contaminated from underneath the buffet for me. Very good. 2nd time I have eaten here.

This is a Chipotle-style place. I agree with the other reviews, their staff was very accommodating and my server immediately changed his gloves and told me my options. From what I gathered, everything is GF except the grilled veggies and shrimp (and tortillas). My server also didn’t use the scoops that were already in the trays and brought some ingredients from below the counter. Times like this make me so grateful for this app so I don’t have to wander around an airport in despair.

As soon as I said I had celiac they took off their gloves, washed their hands, & put on new gloves and got all of the ingredients for me with fresh scoops and all of the toppings from underneath in unopened containers! It was an amazing experience. I never have luck like this in airports!

VERY accommodating. For celiac they change gloves and get untouched ingredients. Only flour tortillas, veggies and shrimp seemed to be off limits. The rest (which is a lot) is a-ok!

Tried to get food. He said the veggies and tortillas were cross contaminated, but everything else was ok. After me having just watched them build burritos and touching the tortillas with the same utensils. I asked if the would get from behind and I was told ‘no’. Your mileage may vary. I think it all depends who is working when you get here.

I said I was gluten free and he asked if it was allergy or preference. I said allergy and he immediately went and washed his hands. He then put on fresh gloves and had separate ingredients/spoons to ensure no cross contamination. They were also super nice about it and I didn’t feel like I was a burden. Super happy because I was otherwise planning on eating popcorn for lunch!

I have celiac. The staff very earnestly attempted to get me uncontaminated food but was using the same spoons and touching flour tortillas and thought spicy food had gluten for some reason? If you don’t have celiac eat up. No good for celiacs.

Despite other great reviews, the line employee rushed me through the process, told me I couldn’t have cheese, veggies, guac or practically anything else I wanted. The result, a poor excuse for a bowl with rice, beans, and skimp portion of chicken. I was under the impression they would get me fresh uncontaminated goods from the back. All in all, a semi-safe option, despite the egregious service, and lackluster product. Maybe I caught them at the end of a shift...

I never thought I’d find something in the airport. This place is amazing. They have a whole protocol and were knowledgeable about gluten free. Took everything from separate containers and washed hands, changed gloves. This seemed to be the standard, and not just a one off thing. This was much better than the bison bar I had planned on eating for lunch.

When I mentioned gluten free they immediately asked if I had celiac. They change gloves and pull toppings from the fridge to avoid cross contact. The only thing you can’t order is any kind of breakfast because the eggs are cooked alongside flour tortillas. I got a bowl with rice, steak, and black beans.

They new without me asking to change gloves and use fresh lettuce/cheese/guacamole. Thank goodness because it has been a serious strike out at airports to find anything other than a cheese stick!

Thank GOD they have this restaurant in terminal 3. Thank God they sell protein like steak and chicken at 9:30 in the morning. When I went to Macaroni Grill and asked if they had anything gluten free they scoffed me. I hate airports. But Burrito Beach is LOVELY. The staff also knew enough about the food to guide my daughter on her choices.

The staff was very knowledgeable of the foods i could eat. The server changed his gloves well before touching my bowl and afterwards made sure nothing with gluten would touch my bowl. They even keep the condiments for gluten free under the counter stored away. Overall it was a very good experience!

When it was our turn, we asked about GF options. They asked avoiding gluten or Celiac. When we said Celiac, the server said he would wash his hands and change his gloves. He then walked us through the options. We got bowls with asada chicken. For the toppings he took them out of a container under the counter. Overall, he and another server were very helpful and attentive. The food was tasty. $8.20 per bowl.

AMAZING! The person helping me asked if I had an allergy or not, then told me the only thing that is not GF is their flour tortillas (he said the corn are GF but they use the same surface as the flour so not safe for Celiac) but all their bowls and salads and topping are safe. He then proceeded to change his gloves and finish my order himself since he was the one that changed gloves. Wonderful service and good prices for the airport (12 dollars for bowl and small drink).

Probably the best deal you’ll find in the airport that can make you a GF meal. $18 for a chicken bowl and burrito. Similar to Chipotle in concept, just lower food quality/taste. Only gluten is in the tortillas, so get a bowl.
