There is a pizza place called Oasis Pizza that has GF pizza; however, it is at the entrance which is really problematic if you’re anywhere else in the park … which we were. We found a Chic-Fil-A in the park. While they don’t have grilled chicken/nuggets, they do have chips and fries in a separate fryer so you can have those (better than nothing, right?!) They also have the usuals: chips, cotton candy, Dippin Dots (prepackaged or find one with different scoops), fruit bars at various stores, candy, popcorn, Icees. We turn our trips into ‘treat days’ and make up the missed nutrients at dinner so it’s a fun day rather than a ‘food chore’ day. It makes the day more exciting. After 10 years, it’s been a success!

Little to no gluten free options at the park. Very disappointed.

Last time I was here I was well fed. 4 years later. Worst service and down right unpleasant experience.
Hardly anything for me, server have none to little knowledge of the food they prepare.
Smoke house was handed 3 stripes of under cook meat. (attitude was horrible)
Chick- filla - a bag of chips ( nicer experience but nothing suitable)
Dragon fire - a bagged bun, a patty and salad. The bun fell apart the moment I took it out the bag. ( the server didn't change glove but did use tongs).
. Next time I phone ahead and bring your own stuff

Very little gluten free options. The bagged pizza at the Dragon Fire came out freezing cold with crumbs all over the bag. I got my money back. Bring your own food or eat out of the park.

They don't have many options. If you inquire ahead via email they don't give any info other than talk to a supervisor, but they will then allow you to bring in a small cooler of your own food (normally this isn't allowed). Had chicken at Zambia smokehouse (no sauce) with grapes. The chicken was great. You can't eat the fries there. Limited snack options as well. In the future I'd bring a cooler and just rent a locker for the day as it would be less expensive.

Gluten free pizza available at the Oasis Pizza in Serengeti Cafe. Safe as it’s in a bag and cooked in the bag but taste wise is disgusting. Can’t complain as it’s the only safe thing to eat at Busch gardens! It takes 15 mins to heat up

At 3 restaurants / eateries in the park were able to offer gluten-free. Meat (chicken, ribs and pulled pork including a bunn), pizza, fruit and vegetables are gluten-free. Staff is careful with gluten free. The cook takes the gluten-free order under his supervision. Relexed and able to eat without worries. See the photos at the bottom of the reviews to see what you can get. But feel free to ask elsewhere where they have food. Most of them have something.

Not much to choose from. The chick-fil-a only has breaded chicken. The smokehouse chicken was delicious. Be sure to ask for a supervisor, they will prepare your food in a separate area and not put sauce on it. The only gf sides available were carrots and strawberries…

VERY limited options- and couldn’t get at every place. The food they did have was pretty inedible - and dare I say that the burger was actually disgusting! My recommendation: bring your own food. BG’s GF options are not worth the money, calories or taste buds.

Zambia Smokehouse has pretty good smoked chicken. Didn't want to assume it would be GF just because it's chicken and as soon as I asked everyone on the line knew what to do. They said it's the bbq sauce on it that has gluten so they immediately pulled an unsauced chicken from the back using new gloves. They also volunteered that the fries are not safe due to the fryer so they offered me strawberries or grapes. Overall very good experience.

Chick-Fil-A does NOT have grilled anything or salads. GF options are awful in the park.

Ask for supervisor upon arrival to restaurant. Very knowledgeable about cross contamination! At the smokehouse I got the sampler platter with brisket, chicken, and ribs (pulled pork is not safe). Then I went to the dragon fire grill and got a cheeseburger. The bun comes in a sealed package. The supervisors make all GF food in the back on separate grills and surfaces. Great experience!

Most GF items take forever to cook and the selection is not especially enticing for a child with celiac.

The Serenghetti Overlook has safe, reasonably tasty pizza, but it needs to be baked, so you’re going to be waiting 15-20 minutes for it. The clerk tried to hand me normal pizza when I asked if mind was ready yet. So know it comes in a BAG.
Gluten free pizza at Serengeti was great... came in it’s own bag to avoid cross contamination
Yes
3.5 stars. Staff was somewhat rude and impatient overall but pizza at Serengeti overlook was very very safe (cooked in its own bag!). Positive is that the sensitive Celiac didn’t get sick.
Yes
The supervisor at the Dragon Fire Grill really knew what he was talking about! He told me a mixture of everything available down to the gf brownies they keep hidden behind the counter. He said if I was not happy with the selections he could try and make me something even. It is so nice to go somewhere and not feel like my restriction is a big inconvenience.
Its a struggle to order gf, employees running around trying to get help. Got frustrated at smokehouse, walked out with no food. At another place that had a sign advertising gf buns, but were "out" 3 hrs after park opened. Ordered lettuce bun, and cheese & bacon on burger, employee questioned me if I could have cheese & bacon. They told me strictly "no fries", then a few minutes later, after more employee confusion, they loaded my plate with fries. They need to send a trainer to Disney to learn how to be accommodating, then train their employees.

We went to the buffet on the top floor of the Serengeti Overlook and told our waitress that we needed to be gluten-free, so she went and got the chef. He happily walked us through the buffet and told us what we could and could not eat. There was a decent amount of selections including a salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, shrimp and grits, and shakshuka. We we're even able to order the gluten free pizza (took 15 minutes). Two of us have Celiac and did not have any issues here. Normally they have a chocolate torte that is gluten-free but they were out at the time. Instead we had a raspberry sorbet which was okay. I preferred the food over the dessert. I would definitely go back.

Some staff were very knowledgeable- others not so much. There are GF options- just need to know what to ask for at some of the restaurants. Our food was prepared separately, we did have options ( ribs, chicken, pizza, burgers with decent gf buns), be prepared to wait about 20 minutes for your food, which was fine for us as we knew it meant being safer. Three of us did well all day. Buy the meal plan if you are going to be there a full day- well worth it.

So happy to have GF options. I had a GF turkey burger, w a GF bun even!! staff served separately and was carful to nut touch any other of my gluten kids food to mine. Ate later n was overjoyed to have GF pizza! Made my day to have options to eat something other than a salad! Purchased the all day dining plan and was well worth the price!
GF pizza is the only option at Serengeti. Passable. Check out other restaurants.
Best gluten free pizza I have ever had! They cooked it in a separate bag and gave me my own pizza cutter. Also, the ribs at the smokehouse were amazing also!!!!
Yes
There are a number of restaurants that had gluten free options, however the choice is limited. I had the gluten free pizza at the Serengeti Overlook (the only gluten free option other than fruit). The pizza is cooked and served in a paper bag so no risk of contamination. I also ate at the Zambia Smokehouse where they can cook most of the meats separatley without the sauces in a dedicated kitchen space - i had this with a side salad and grapes/strawberries for dessert.

Gluten free pizza! With own cutter! Gluten free cookies and brownies as well. Brilliant!

Least accommodating of all theme parks (Disney, Universal parks are much better). Few restaurants have GF choices, hard to find knowledgeable server. No GF baked goods at all (not even wrapped cookies for kids) in most places. They have GF info sheets at the guest services desk though.

Zambia smokehouse is delicious and they have woodchuck cider at one of the beverage carts by the log flume - 4 stars for limited options- it's no Disney World but the food was great!!
Yes
Had a great giant turkey leg! They even brought out the label for us to read since we said we were celiac!

Made me my own personal gluten-free pizza. Even gave me my own pizza cutter that was wrapped up and labeled "gluten-free."
Upon arrival at Zambia Smokehouse, I asked for the supervisor. She was very nice & brought out a binder to show me what my choices were. There were only a few, but I was thankful none the less. I opted for the 1/4 chicken (without bbq sauce) & a side salad with oil & vinegar. It came out on a plate wrapped in plastic wrap. They seemed to take it seriously and used care preparing my meal. I was very appreciative. The chicken was flavorful, moist & delicious.
Yes
Zambia smokehouse has knowledgable staff- chicken without bbq sauce, side of fruit, corn on the cob without butter. They make everything in the back for you and despite the mass crowd the woman who was helping me gave me her full attention, was so helpful and knew allergen /Celiac safe. Pricey but after eight hours sans food tuning around the park it was the best thing ever to eat more than lettuce and chips.
Yes
Food was ok. Chicken and grapes was all I was told I could eat. Employees made me feel like it was bothersome.
Arriving at 11am (opening), Mgr prepared order, changed Gloves, granted the Meat Platter, was naked, NO BBQ Sauce. But Fabulous! ...And if you have to have BBQ Sauce, get a handful of Ketchup and packs of sugar at check out, mix and make your own, right on your plate.
Yes
All of their meats are gluten free at Zambia Smokehouse. Let an employee know and they will go in the back and tell you what you can have! Chicken, Pork, Ribs, Smoked Turkey are all safe! No roll, and switch out any side for the fries. Very knowledgable!
