Service was good and food is clearly marked on menu. Will go there again.

The food here was awesome! Gluten free items are clearly marked and I didn't have to explain my allergy to the waitstaff at all. Our items that we specified as gluten free came out with a wooden allergy marker. Overall amazing dining experience and highly recommend visiting!!

I have celiacs disease, and I let the waitress know and she seemed very knowledgeable about it. I got a burger with a gluten free bun that was very good! I love bread and when they brought out the bread basket before the meal I asked if I could get one of the gluten free buns to have with some butter and they let me do so. Would recommend if looking for a place with gluten free items in the Gatlinburg area!

Gluten free menu items are marked. The waiter was knowledgeable and explained while the bbq sauce has no gluten containing ingredients, it is processed in an external facility that also processed gluten. He explained what gluten feee menu items I could have. Great experience. I had a half chicken, baked potato and Cole slaw. Yum!

Based on the positive reviews and many items marked on the menu as GF we decided to give it a go. Very friendly staff. I decided on the ribs (billed as the “Best Rubs in America”- although very good, not the best I’ve experienced, but I would get again) with a loaded baked potato. I got a half slap and it was a generous portion, very meaty. My husband got the hickory smoked 1/2 chicken with a baked sweet potato so we could share. This too was good, but kind of a scrawny chicken. He thought the sweet potato was possibly the best he’s ever had with just a tad of butter. I did not get sick, but was very full. Would recommend and would return.

Amazing experience. Waitress asked if there were any allergies at the table. Yes, Celiac. Manager came out while Waitress got our drinks and went over the full menu. Then the orders are reviewed by the manager to ensure nothing will be an issue. Very comforting care!!

Great experience, manager came out and explain menu and items for both of my celiac boys. Very knowledgeable! Feel safe with them eating here. A lot of items to choose from and a variety.
Gluten free items are clearly marked. Gluten free bun available for burgers/sandwiches. Lots of GF options.

Everything on the menu that can be made gluten free is clearly marked! I ordered the chicken wings, but none of the BBQ sauce or ranch was gf. The waitress found out the ranch wasn’t gf after I ordered and came back to offer me a sauce that was gluten free (I don’t remember what it was but it was spicy lol) my meal also came out marked! I really enjoyed my meal here. They were very educated and I did not get sick! Would come back again, if I was from the area.

Fabulous experience and good food. When I asked for the GF menu, the waitress asked if it was allergy and then explained the manager on duty would be by to discuss any concerns, which she was. What a great dining experience.

We are both celiac and didn’t have any problems here. We were excited that they had an appetizer we could eat, since that is so rare. It was potato skins with pulled pork, cheese and bacon. Our server was concerned about the bacon not being GF and she asked the kitchen. They told her they had recently switched bacon brands and this new brand was indeed gf. We appreciated the concern! We both had salads as an entree and they were also good. There is no GF menu, but GF items are clearly marked on the main menu.

They have marked gf items on the menu which was nice. And before ordering, the waiter had the manager come out and answer any questing and made sure I picked safe items. She then brought out my food. Great experience!

I got pulled pork with a baked potato. Was told which bbq sauce I could vs could not have. Items that were GF were marked on the menu clearly. The dishes came out marked as GF allergy. I didn't like the BBQ sauce but that's a personal preference since I'm not a huge fan of vinegary and tomato-y flavor profiles which were heavily present.

When I mentioned my gluten and dairy allergy, the waitress was very understanding and immediately had the manager come over to discuss options. The manager was very respectful, asked if it was Celiac disease to make sure she gave the best advice, and went through all my options with me. She also brought our food out. Their fryer is shared and the manager said their waitress with Celiac reacts to the bacon and they think it has something to do with the curing process. The options for dairy free are limited but they made modifications. Also, the gluten free bun was homemade and incredible.

Extremely allergen friendly! Staff was very helpful and respectful. Manager immediately came over and discussed options with us and what was available and safe and what was not. My husband is highly sensitive and if he is cross contaminated or 'glutined' he almost immediately feels sick and he experienced no issues whatsoever with eating there. Overall tasty food! Their house brand barbeque sauce is gluten free too

I ordered a chicken sandwich on a gf bun. The bun was great, the chicken was really tough so I ended up needing to ask for a steak knife to cut it. Hubs (not gf) meal was just ok. We won’t be back, the quality of the food and value for the price were poor.

Our waitress was very knowledgeable regarding my gluten free dietary needs. I ordered the pork sandwich with a gluten free bun and sweet potato. She said the bbq sauce didn’t have any gluten ingredients but couldn’t guarantee there was no cross contamination. The pork didn’t need it. It was delicious. The GF bun was one of the best I have tasted. I did not experience any issues.

⚠Caution⚠ There is NOT a GF menu but “GF” options are identified. The fries were labeled as GF but, when I asked about cross contamination, I was told it is not a dedicated fryer. They do have GF buns but, they toast them unless you specify for them not to. Use caution when eating here. I may have been glutened from our dinner. They try to be accommodating but I don’t feel it may be safe for celiacs.

Server was very careful and continued to check the allergen list (in the kitchen) to make sure the foods we ordered were completely safe. Server knew what modifications needed to take place to make the meal safe (for a gluten free child and a dairy free child). Everything we ate was delicious-ribs, salmon, and chicken . Excellent service!

I notified them when we put our names on the list that I was celiac and they were very meticulous. Some of the items listed on the menu need to be modified to be gluten free so you do need to tell them. For example, their barbecue sauce has gluten and their bacon has a smoke flavoring that has gluten, so these were left off the brisket nachos. They were delicious without it anyway. The staff was super careful and the manager double checked everything. They also provided me with an ingredient list and modification list for all items on the menu on top of the regular menu. The food was amazing with lots of choices. I had the nachos as an appetizer. For the meal I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on a gluten free bun with baked apples. I'm super sensitive and happy to report that I did not get sick!

We had lunch there and they were very knowledgeable about Celiac. My daughter had potato skins with cheese as an appetizer, cheese burger and fries and no problems afterwards. No Gf dessert but the rest of the family had good great as well
Yes
They have a nice selection of gluten free options and the hostess manager was wonderful to answer my questions while we waited. Unfortunately the food was not good. My best food on my plate was steamed brocolli.
Ate here twice on my trip to Gatlinburg with no adverse reactions. Staff is very knowledgeable and attentive to GF needs. They come out to your table and talk with you if they question anything at all about your order. My favorite in Gatlinburg hands down. Had the BBQ half chicken the first night and ribs the second night. The cinnamon apples are GF and are just the best!!
Yes
I had a smoked hickory barbecue sandwich with baked apples and a squirt, and it was all delicious. The bread on the sandwich was tasty, obviously not just pulled out of a frozen Udi’s package, and the server was very knowledgeable, checking with the chef for me about all my food. Overall, very good experience.
We ate every meal except 1 here while on vacation this week. Everything was perfect. My daughter and I have celiac. Everyone was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Good selection to choose from. Loved everything!! Our servers were outstanding everytime (Cody, Aaron, Liz) the manager (forgot his name) and the hostess were outstanding as well. I recommend trying this place especially if you have celiac! I am highly sensitive and no reaction any of the times we were here. Thank you!!! We will be back!

Staff is not trained. Not a dedicated frier. Many items are marked GF but are not safe.
No
Staff waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten free. The menu was misleading according to her—something she is talking to management about. Good meal though a little over cooked—salmon. Great service.
Food isn't fantastic, and choices on the menu are limited here. However the staff works really hard to make sure that the food you order is safe to eat. Made a mistake and ordered something that had an oil my husband couldn't eat, they immediately removed the plate without us even asking and helped him order something that was safe for all his allergies. We were able to eat lunch without him getting sick.
Well if you are going for Ribs forget it. Their naturally gf sauce is produced in a facility that processes wheat. So I ordered their shrimp which was overcooked and rubbery. Could not have rice that went with shrimp so substituted a baked potato. They charged a dollar extra for a small amount of sour cream and chives.
Yes
Our waitress was very knowledgeable about how the foods were prepared, which were gluten free and which to avoid. The menu had astericks by items that could be prepared gluten free. My daughter and I split the prime rib, which was delicious! Nice atmosphere, pleasant dinner, delicious food!
Yes
They do have a GF but very limited selections. We did not choose to eat there.
Yes
The menu was tiny there were literally three things on the menu (super expensive). We waited an hour to be seated because the buzzer was "broken", service was terrible. Wine was good.
No
GF menu. Celiac friendly, no cross contamination. Enjoyed shrimp skewers, mashed potatoes, baked apples, and coleslaw. Apples were the only seasoned and flavorful item. It was good for something hot and different, but probably won't be back. Slow service.

Other restaurants in Gatlinburg recommended eating at Calhoun's. They had a separate gluten free menu and was knowledgeable. We will go back if we travel to Gatlinburg again.
Menu is limited, however, the food was delicious! The steak was grilled to perfection!
GF menu. Had the salad, it was good. Did not get sick.
Yes
basic menu with grilled chicken, salad and burger minus the bun. all the yummy stuff was off limits like biscuits and cornbread and ribs and sides. service was greatand food was delicious as always.
Gluten-free menu small but any restaurant that has one I appreciate. I ordered steak and it was very good and cooked to order. Side salad is mostly iceberg I wouldn't get that next time. I wish they had more sides to choose from I would gladly return. We had a great time a great service.
My husband ordered from the gluten free menu and still got sick. It could have been our waiter, but I blame the restaurant for not properly educating it's staff on making sure they write gluten free when they offer a gluten fee menu.
We were there a busy Saturday afternoon. The waitress was great with my GF order. I had the pulled pork, coleslaw and sweet potato.

Menu has multiple items marked for gluten free and manager was great but burger was brought out with fries on plate when ordered no side because the fries are not safe. Manager stated cooks were from Jamaica and there’s seems to be miscommunication about cross contamination. She went to back and followed the food through the process to make sure it was safe.
