Our waiter was knowledgeable about celiac, gluten and their safe handling process. They change gloves, have dedicated kitchen space. Their pizzas are certified gluten free and they have several other non pizza menu items to choose from. Our entire family is gluten free and we had a great experience here.
Staff knowledgeable, separate gf menu. Food handled safe, new toppings and gf pizza cutter. It tasted great, I ordered the gf margherita pizza. Shared Waldorf salad, server noted to have it prepared in a clean bowl. Everyone loved their meals. Felt good!
This was the only location I’ve ever eaten at, so my experiences are specific to that location and staff. If you’re strictly gluten free or celiac then you’ll probably be fine. However, if you have a number of other allergies then you might not be so lucky. Not all of my allergies were in their allergy menu (I have a corn allergy) and the waiter was super nice but management had no idea how to handle this. I handed them a card I have with a list of my allergies and they kept handing it back and insisting I use an iPad to type in my allergies. I explained multiple times that I needed to talk to someone instead of using the iPad but they kept pushing me to use it and eventually I did. Not surprisingly, it didn’t include all of my allergens and it said I couldn’t eat anything. We flagged down the manager again and showed him and gave him my card and he finally talked to me. The meal I had was good and I didn’t get sick or anything, but my experiences trying to talk with them and not being listened to was very frustrating. There were things on the menu I could eat and the actual conversation resolved this, but that definitely took up a lot of our time in the restaurant and I’m not sure I’d go back to that location.
We have eaten at CPK many times throughout the US and have always eaten safely. Recently, we were unsure about the GF crust because it looked different from the crust we have had before. This GF crust had rings on the bottom. The manager assured us that it was GF and took the extra step of going to the kitchen to get another GF crust to show us the rings. We appreciated the extra effort from the manager to assure that my daughter’s pizza was safe for her to eat.
Great experience. Knowledgeable about gluten "allergy" and necessary procedures to decrease risk of cross contact. For example, toppings for gf pizzas stored separately and blue gloves are worn when assembling gf pizzas. Our server was exceptionally kind and careful. The margherita pizza was delicious! We experienced no symptoms and ordered a second pepperoni pizza for take out. Our server even opened new carton of take out boxes. My sons said the pepperoni pizza was great, too!
I thought it was wonderful to have a certified kitchen! I didn't get sick! The manager was super nice and explained the procedure and care they take for cooking Gf. The gf crust was well.....a gf crust. Nothing special, not much flavor and honestly I could have gotten something similar from the freezer section at publix. There were only 4 items total to choose from on the GF menu. So as nice as it was to have a GF menu at a pizza place it would have been nice to have more selections.
I was so impressed with the care that was taken to avoid cross contamination! There were quite a few things on the menu for us to choose from. Our pizza was great as well as our appetizer! Best of all, my baby didn't get sick from his food.
After reviews on this app and speaking to staff for ourselves, we decided to give CPK a try. Ordered the Gluten-free BBQ Chicken pizza and were very pleased that our Nima tester gave us a smile. They have a separate prep area and we felt confident in their knowledge of cross-contamination. Alex (their trainer) and Sam (manager) were absolutely amazing in both explaining their procedures and overseeing our pizza prep. Ate there a 2nd time. Nima tested gluten. We had added pineapple and think that could have been the cause. Sam was appalled and bent over backwards to reassure and personally take care of the 2nd pizza (we opted for no pineapple that time). That one tested safe. Nice to share this app with Sam. I feel like she truly cared about Celiac safety.
God glutenfri pizza. Egen pizzameny og personalet hadde bra kunnskap om hva jeg kunne spise og ikke, og hvordan pizzaen ble tilbredt. Ikke det største utvalget, men absolutt godt nok for meg! Verdt et besøk.
The waitress was knowledgeable enough to ask if it was an allergy but they failed to deliver a gf pizza. I was so violently ill. Never eat here if you have celiacs. It IS NOT SAFE!!!
Do not trust this CPK , they were grabbing toppings from the same line as the gluten pizzas. They have a lack of training on cross contamination. Had to give my pizza away to some one else. Do not trust this place.
such good cauliflower crust!! super crispy and good. when i ordered my pizza, the waitress assured me all items were GF. then when my pizza was served, the manager brought it on a separate plate and assured me it was completely GF. i’ve ate here multiple times and have had no issues and i’m very skeptical when eating out!! definitely recommend
Oh my! I’m not close to any location! While out of town I randomly noticed Restaurant close to me! Seriously... Amazing! I’ve had others and can’t begin to compare!!! Thank you, thank you! I might even indulge in lunch before going home tomorrow! ❤️
My sister and I shared two of their certified GF pizzas. Both were delivered by a manager who explained their GF procedures. The two we had were very tasty. Only 4 options that are certified GF, but if you aren't celiac they can make any other pizza with the GF crust.
They offer a menu of options certified by The Gluten Intolerance Group. I feel pretty safe eating here if I eat of the certified menu and I haven't gotten sick. I have also tested with my Nima and it has tested fine. The gluten free cauliflower crust is better than that sounds!
The gluten free pizza was fantastic for me with the pepperoni was wonderfully spicy. The only thing they guarantee is gluten free is the pizza which is prepared separately. There are other gluten free options, well noted on the menu,, but they are made in a shared kitchen. Both indoor and outdoor seating. 2 hour free parking with validation, which was plenty of time.
They only got 2 stars because they are celiac friendly. Other then that, I will not go back. It was like eating dry crunchy cardboard for $20. Way overpriced and the pizza was terrible. They have a certified GF menu and on the regular menu were items with no gluten ingredients.
We went to CPK at Ala Moana Centre today and were really impressed. They have a certified GF menu, ask if it’s a preference or an allergy, and have a manager bring out any allergy orders while wearing gloves. The pizza was good and a good size. Highly recommend.
Not safe at all for celiac—even salads. Great management and kitchen staff that urged me they would not even feel comfortable serving me salad bc of the cross contact in the kitchen. No separate space for cooking. Thank you for full disclosure!!
*Update as of 8/12/19: I recently learned that they have more than one cauliflower crust and that it’s imperative to specify that one is seeking the CERTIFIED GLUTEN FREE crust or you might not get it. That’s entirely too confusing to call them the same thing but it not actually be the same item. On another note, although they previously had a tasty GF cauliflower crust, they changed the recipe and now it’s as if there’s no trace of a rice or other GF flour in it so it’s mushy like some kind of a semi-firm flat steamed veggie disc. I had to reheat the pizza we took to go and was wishing we hadn’t also purchased one of their Take and Bake pizzas as well because we had to practically burn both pizzas to get their crusts to mildly firm up. To make matters worse, the cauliflower crust that previously didn’t taste of cauliflower at all (which was awesome), now has a very strong cauliflower (almost broccoli like) taste - neither of which my child and I (both celiac) are fans of or desire to taste on our pizzas. I contacted the main number and confirmed that this change is recent as of this summer and is not a fluke. Besides the potential for an error to take place with regards to which crust one gets, the change in crust taste and texture was such a huge disappointment for us. We won’t be returning. April 2019: Not a huge GF menu but they do have certified gluten free pizzas in both a larger size and in a kids size that includes a kid sized drink. The crust is a cauliflower crust and was surprisingly tasty. (I can’t stand the taste of cauliflower, but love the crust.) My daughter and I both have celiac and neither of us have had a reaction any of the times we have ordered there. I spoke with a manager the last time we ordered (a couple of weeks ago) and he was extremely friendly and interested in keeping us free of gluten. It’s the only local place we feel safe eating pizza anymore.
One of my go to restaurants for gluten free. Kind of pricey but great food and several pizza options
I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza and it was really good. They have 3 gluten free pizza options and items on the regular menu have a gluten free designation so you know if you can order it. They cook the GF items separately. Only negative was it took a long time for the food to arrive and they said the GF items take longer.
Pretty good for a cheap pizza place. It’s always a good last option.
They have the best pizza ever ! Tastes like real pizza. I got gluten free pepperoni, they cook the pizzas in their own section completely seperate from gluten. Staff were super friendly and happy to help as well. Highly recommend.
This location does have a cauliflower crust option which is gluten free. HOWEVER, CELIACS BE WARNED: they prepare this crust with all the other pizzas making it NOT GLUTEN FREE for those with an allergy. Of note, we did not find a single place in the airport that served gluten free so we were forced to live off of chips and fruit.
My kids and I ordered curbside service. All the pizzas were gluten free (pepperoni, sausage/pepperoni and cheese). We didn’t get sick, that’s always our main concern. It wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it was good.
I’ve eaten here in the past. Each time I get the certified gluten free bbq pizza. The first two times, the manager brought the pizza out and was very helpful. However this last time I asked for a gluten free pizza and was just given my pizza by a random server and there was no stick stating that it was gluten free. I decided to ask another sever if they could check for me. In fact it was not certified gluten free. Finally the pizza was brought out by the kitchen manager. They may have just been having an off day. But always double check!
