I went here with some hesitation because of the past reviews, but I had no issues. My server was helpful and I didn't have any problems with my food. I stayed on the safe side and had a salad. They do have a fun variety of options.
I ordered the Cobb salad and was very clear about needing gluten free. I was assured it would be. Someone other than my waiter delivered my salad and I reinterated my need for gluten free. Again I was assured it was and I commenced eating. 1/3 of the salad eaten and my waiter returned. He was unsure about the salad dressing. Hmmm. He left and returned again to tell me the dressing had soy sauce in it. Dammit! The manager came by to apologise and said it meal would be no charge. Great. I will cross this restaurant off my list.
Definitely not celiac friendly. Waitress informed us that buns and burgers are toasted on same area as wheat buns. She also informed us they do not use separate water for boiling pasta
My wife and I have eaten here a couple times on our 6 night stay. Staff is knowledgeable about celiac and the portion sizes are good.
No, most definitely not celiac friendly. The offer gluten free " upon request". I requested, they failed, badly. They gave a gluten free bun, but upon the first bites of my salad I realized there was already dressing. I asked a waiter about that and the seasonings on my fish. He asked and came back and took my salad and said it was not gluten free and said that the seasonings should be ok, because it might only have a "little" gluten. I had already taken bites of everything and spent the evening sick. No apologies, no comp service.
Had the gf Americana burger and fries and boyfriend had the lemon-herb roasted chicken dish. Both were good and boyfriend, who has allergy, had no trouble after meal. We also shared the Godiva chocolate cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. If you like a lot of chocolate, that cheesecake is for you! Flourless chocolate cake topped with chocolate cheesecake and then chocolate mousse.
I am Celiac. I ordered the cheeseburger....fantastic! I own a 100% gluten free restaurant in Maui (yes 100%) and really wanted a cheeseburger (with a real bun) while visiting Oahu. I feel fine and will probably go back before we head home.
My celiac daughter loves this place. She loves the burgers and the cheesecake. She has never had a reaction. Makes a MoMa very happy.

I had gf bacon cheeseburger with gf bun and gf fries cooked in a separate fryer. (After asking them several times to check!) the staff were very patient. It was definitely a treat! Gf choc cheesecake for dessert- only issue, I was too full to eat it all! Not ill at all, just very full!
We ate there twice and I had success both times. I was told fries had a separate fryer but didn't get them. Burgers were great and was told their dressings for salad all had a dairy component. They did offer vinegar and oil and brought bottle for me to inspect. Good thing as one was a malt vinegar.
They had lots of options! My pasta was really good and the gluten free cheesecake was amazing. I want to eat it every day. The waitress knew what to do and took care of my food well.

Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Ordered a pasta dish gluten free, and asked them to start a fresh pot of water to avoid cross contamination. They have a separate area for food prep, and I didn't get sick. Food could have been a bit more heavily seasoned, but otherwise great meal, and heated up leftovers for dinner!
Cheesecake Factory has GF? We wandered in just to check and yes they do. I had the American burger. Excellent. Best gluten free burger I've had. And the price is great for Waikiki. About $12. I've had cheaper but those were bunless. I loved it. Ate every bite! Most places and even at home I have leftover bun that isn't very good on it's own. This burger had so much even the last bite had sauce and cheese. So yummy!!
Went here last weekend for a friend's birthday because we knew there were gluten free options, and reviews said they were good about someone needing no cross contamination. The first item I ordered they were out of, so I reluctantly ordered one of there pastas with the gluten free noodles. I unfortunately took a few bites then started to portion out my dish, because I knew I couldn't eat it all unless I wanted to over eat. As I was doing g this I found several macaroni noodles (not gluten free) in it. Before we could even leave the restaurant I was already having problems. The only positive is that the server and manager were very swift to take action and make sure I was alright and regularly checked on me while my friends finished their meals.
staff is very knowledgeable about gf. is always get a pasta dish here. This place loses 2 stars, not for gf but I just don't think the food is worth the wait or price. however, if you are simply wondering if it is gluten free then 5 stars and 2 thumbs up since this place is very gf friendly! although they don't offer gf cheesecake they do have a gf dessert option. although I usually don't eat here it is very gf friendly.
Great experience here! Ordered the bacon cheeseburger with a gluten free bun. Alejandro, our waiter was very knowledgeable, thorough and double checked everything with the manager-Robb. They both spoke to the chef and line to make sure of no cross contamination. Ended our meal with the Godiva double chocolate cheesecake for dessert. Alejandro and Robb, thanks for making our eating experience a one in a lifetime! Will definitely return!
had the 3 cheese gluten free pasta and was violently sick for 5 hours! clearly was not GF. Not worth the risk
My celiac daughter ordered gluten free pasta from the kid's menu. It was very tasty but I fear there must be cross contamination as she immediately felt ill afterwards. If cross contamination is not a worry for you, the menu is extensive with many GF options. Unfortunately only one cheesecake is listed as GF option.
I was dx'd with Celiac 7 months ago and have visited this restaurant twice since then while in town for medical appts. Both experiences were awesome! The server was knowledgeable about Celiac and how menu items were prepared. I was impressed! It was also delicious!! I never eat out, but I trust this place! Thanks CF!!!
For the most part, their gluten-free menu is trustworthy. However, while I dined at a Cheesecake Factory in California, I was talked into having the Godiva flourless gluten-free cheesecake. I had a reaction. If I had to guess, it was either the piece of chocolate that was on top, or maybe they had used a serving piece that had been used to serve other kinds of cheesecake.
I always note my allergy and have never had a problem here (I also had good waiters). In my opinion, for a chain restaurant they have pretty good options. Pretty good pasta and the herb chicken is pretty good too. They even have a cheesecake, which is better than no cheesecake at all.
I loved going to the Cheesecake Factory until recently. I usually order pasta and salad. Every time I go, I ask which salad dressings are gluten free and I ALWAYS get a different answer. Lately I have been getting different types of pasta noodles as well. I ask over and over if they are sure it is gluten free pasta. Each time they reassure me. Needless to say, I spoke with a manager and only one type of pasta is gluten free. That means that half the time I've been eating there, I am getting a meal full of gluten!!! I feel sick after I eat there every time now. I will not be returning. They don't understand Celiac or even what gluten is.
I got a gluten free pasta dish. There was a noodle in there that was a completely different shape than the ones I ordered. I picked it out and thought I would be ok. So sick. :(
I have celiac disease I went here today for lunch. I was very careful and checked with both the hostess before sitting down and with my server before ordering. Both assured me that they treat gluten as an allergy and that I would be fine eating there. Although they assured me that I would be fine as I was eating I realized there was a gluten noodle in my pasta that I had accidentally eaten. I will now most likely be very sick from this. I altered the staff and both my server and manager were very apologetic and did not make me pay but I will never eat here again and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with celiac disease or even a gluten allergy.
So I walk in ask the host if they have a Gluten free menu and he says yes! I then ask (as all celiacs must do)If they had separate fryers for non gluten items like fries. He says yes! I say great we will take a table. Our server arrives I ask him about the fryers he said he had to check with kitchen. When he comes back he said that yes they are safe and fried separately. Great so I order burger GF bun and fries. Simple enough right? So after about 20 mins he comes over to tell me that he is going on break and introduced our new server. She comes back 10 mins later and tells me that the fries are safe and being cooked separately. I never mentioned this to her but I was glad she knew what was up. ANOTHER 30 mins goes by. So now it's been an hour since ordering. At this point the manager comes over and says that they can't make the fries separately and that they never do. I let him know that 3 people told me otherwise and it is marked GF on their menu. He apologizes and offers me a side salad instead. I say ok cause we were starving and annoyed. After all this the "salad" he brought out was literally a tiny bowl of nothing but lettuce. Not one tomato, shred of carrot....nothing. Nothing was taken off our bill. About an hour and half for this nonsense. FAIL. Corporate will be getting a letter and I have never done that.
The food was good, I felt the GF section was limited. basically about 20 percent of the menu. seemed to be use to handling Gf request. nice dinning area for a big chain.

I got glutened. I have eaten here many times in the past and while the service is always terrible the gf food is usually safe. As a Celiac I always make sure to tell them of my condition and order gf items w/o substitutions. I recently had an early dinner (4pm) so it is not like they were busy, I was assured the pasta was gf only to get violently ill. I was very disappointed since they do have a decent selection but I can't go back bc I can't trust that the gf food is safe.
Unfortunately didn't eat here for the following reason - the man at the front desk assured me there was a dedicated fryer for fries but when I asked the person serving us she looked concerned saying she thought the same oil was used for other things. She checked in the kitchen and the chef said definitely don't have the fries if you need gluten free. The menu looked very good and the woman serving us was great and I used to love Cheesecake Factory before being diagnosed but just to warn any celiacs - at this particular restaurant - don't have the fries!
This was my first, and last, time at this restaurant. When we sat down I explained to be waitress that we are gluten free. We ordered our food and she asked if we would like gluten free pasta or another kind. When we completed our order she said that she would bring over bread and butter. I asked her whether they have gluten free bread in the restaurant and her answer was "Oh, no, we do not. Would you like some of the other bread?" My pasta was really undercooked. Due to time constraints I just ate what I could. Even after I let the management know, I was not offered a discount on the meal, which was poorly prepared.
This was a bad experience. The staff had no idea what was gluten free and what was not so they took a guess. (NOT SMART) I got the grilled chicken green beans and mashed potatoes. Then i got the godiva cheesecake. A few minutes later i felt the pain. I do not what know what caused it but i will NEVER go here again. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!
I ordered a burger with gf bread and a pasta dish. I found one errand gluten pasta in my pasta dish. I also ordered the Godiva cheesecake for dessert. They have a lot of options and our server and manager were very informative about the menu and their procedure.
