Had their gluten free pasta twice, deducting one star because I had to double check when I wasn’t given gf pasta. great flavors! Was asked by the waitress if having bread on the table was okay which was very helpful!
Everything was nicely label that was gluten-free in the menu. .I really enjoyed my serve and my food..very happy with everything including my gluten-free cheesecake. .;-)
Large gluten-free menu, but not celiac friendly and does not have a GF Kitchen so cross contamination can occur. Staff are not educated on gluten free practices for food preparation so can be risky to eat here if sensitive to gluten.

We ordered a burger and specified for the gf option. The waiter brought the burger out on the same tray as a basket of bread that was for another table. We could clearly see bread crumbs flying from the basket onto our burger. Most likely will not go again.
A variety of different GF choices. I had corn tamales, shrimp pasta and godiva cheesecake. Each was gorgeous and huge portions (brought home half the pasta and cheesecake). Great service. With such a large menu I think it would be reasonable to give a few more GF choices, but over all more than happy with the choice and quality. I haven't felt unwell at all.. but there are clear warnings on the menu that they can't guarantee there won't be cross contamination. I was happy enough to take the risk as I've heard of other coeliacs positive experiences... but on the back of this warning I would say not coeliac friendly.... but my experience has been positive.
I have eaten gluten free here 4 or 5 times and had good luck. Today was the exception. I ordered the GF four cheese pasta. The noodles were spiral like the GF they normally serve and I believe they were. However the flavor of sauce was a little different. I have an allergy to gluten. About half way into the meal my nose started running, headache, and all the symptoms of an exposure. I confirmed with our server and she verified I had the correct noodles. I went on here and read that another recent person had exposure with a few non gluten noodles found in his pasta. My guess is cross contamination in the kitchen. Marking the pasta off the list. Only the Godiva Cheesecake for me when here.
I was very impressed with the Cheesecake Factory in Birmingham, Alabama. They offer a GF bun and understand that it can not be toasted with the regular bread. They also are aware of cross contamination. The fries are in a completely separate vat and again they are not cooked with regular food. The waitress was very knowledgeable and assured me that the restaurant had taken precautions to ensure that the food was gluten free.
absolutely the worst experience ive ever had. the food not only came late but came with fries which are NOT gluten free because they are fried with flour-coated items. and the replacement food came late too with the inside of the burger being rather cold. and, despite not having any sort of bun on the burger, i still got contaminated and suffered the consequences. i do not recommend this place at all.
They offer ‘GF’ items except when you ask further questions you learn the sauces are not GF. The menu is deceiving. The burgers come with a special sauce which isn’t GF. The sauce in the ‘GF’ Steak Diane is not GF. The fries have a separate fryer but it is right next to the other fryer. Ask lots of questions and don’t assume the ‘GF’ offerings are automatically safe.
I had the salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli, which was all delicious. And didn't have any problems. It was carryout and I couldn't find a GF menu on their website, but did find an official looking allergen guide on another site that was very helpful. I'd gladly go back here.
Never had issues with this location. Then I ordered a side of mashed potatoes with a take out meal and found actual pieces of bread in it. Needless to say I was sick for a week. Don’t trust this location, they don’t understand the seriousness of this mistake and had no explanation for it.
Great late night spot. We went after visiting John Hancock center for Chicago night views. Outdoor seating area is nice at the base. BEST PART for service kudos. Server told us that the fryer was shared with non-gf, so we were going to bypass the fries. But the server then came back and let us know that since it was near closing time, they may have cleaned the fryers already, and could do clean oil to make us fries . We said Yes. This is a restaurant that empowers its folks to do good things. The fries were awesome.
I ordered an omelette of the menu and told the waitress that I was allergic to gluten. About halfway through eating my meal I opened the omelette and there were numerous strands of spaghetti in my omelette. NEVER has this happened to me. I got extremely sick. I would not trust this kitchen to make anything celiac friendly if spaghetti wound up in an omelette.
My husband ordered a GF burger. Halfway through his meal, they came and told him they gave him the wrong burger and had given his GF burger to another table (who didn’t like it btw). Sure, they were sorry but it shows an obvious lack of process for GF.
My waiter was very knowledgeable about my request and assisted my choices. I ordered a salmon dinner with two veg. Sides. I asked if the starter bread was gluten free and no, they don’t offer that choice yet. The dessert choices were 3 yessss and I got Godiva flourless chocolate cheesecake! Super fantastic!! Way to gooo
Went here about a month ago and had the cheese burger on GF bun and fries and was fine. Went back a couple days ago and ordered the same thing and have been sick for 2 days. Didn't even make it outside the restaurant. There definitely had to be cross contamination. Will not be going back.
Menu states what can be made gf. When the food was brought to our table they specifically said gf Caesar and gf shrimp pasta. And the waitress caught my daughter taking some of my son’s french fries and said those are fried in same oil with things with flour so you may not have any to eat them. I know it’s a chain but we’ve never had any issues.
My family and I visited CF in Birmingham and were so pleasantly surprised. My daughter (20) has just been diagnosed with Celiac and we are still very much in the learning phase. She spoke with our waiter, John, who was very knowledgeable about their GF options and also showed her items on the menu that were not listed as gluten free that could easily be modified to be gluten free. Big fan of this place for being nice, accommodating and providing lots of GF on the menu!
I have Celiac and I called prior to dinner to make sure they had GF options. I talked to the server when ordering. Ate 1/3 plate of GF garlic chicken pasta and 1/2 of a slice of GF Godiva chocolate cheesecake and 15 min later, I was doubled over in pain. Was the only meal I had eaten yesterday. After a long night of being sick, I looked at the receipt and my husband and I were charged for a non-GF pasta and non-GF cheesecake. Thinking now, that despite having called in advance, speaking with the server and having them bring out my dish while stating that it was GF; it was not. Very sick and very frustrated. Do *NOT* eat here. **Edit: I called this morning and spoke with a manager. She was very nice and very apologetic. Although it doesn’t make up for the effects of being glutened, she refunded my card the price of my meal. ** Edit #2: after multiple phone calls, I still have not received my refund..
I’m very disappointed at the Cheesecake Factory. Last time I went, I wanted some of their Alfredo. On their menu, it states that their Alfredo sauce is GF, but I asked the server and he said it was not. The only reason it gets 2 stars, is because they had some really good GF Cheesecake. I DO NOT recommend this place unless you only want Cheesecake. Only one flavor too. Dove Chocolate. It was good, but I would definitely appreciate it if they added more.
Ridiculous that they have GF fries on the menu but do not serve them. Managers excuse was that they have 12.5 million dollar in French fry sales so they can't possibly provide extra space for us GF people even though it's on the menu. When I suggested that they take it off the menu, he had an excuse for that too- tried blaming it all on the server. My daughter has gotten her fries at another cheesecake factory- which is just as busy so the managers excuse is not valid- just too lazy to enforce is m thought.
I went to the Ridgedale Mall location, and staff seemed to be knowledgeable about gf menu options. However, within two hours I was sick after having a “gf” shrimp and pasta. I was too sick to even attempt to eat my maybe gf Godiva chocolate cheesecake....On the bright side, at least my meal was tasty for the few hours it was with me.
While in the midst of our travels we stopped here. Food tasted great but I had major issues while driving with limited stops on highway. I ordered Gf burger plain and a salad with ranch--no croutons. Both were listed as could be Gf options on menu and I was told ranch was gf. I told server I had wheat allergy, needed clean utensils when preparing food to prevent cross contamination, etc--my typical spiel. I was miserable not long after leaving. Would NOT recommend dining at this location, especially if you are traveling. I've had success at other locations.
This place just awful. It’s unsafe. After sending back a GF shrimp pasta dish because the shrimp was breaded, the returned with a new dish with grilled shrimp but the pasta was not GF. Unfortunately, we did not know until after my wife ate a 1/3rd of the dish. Way to ruin a birthday dinner.
Went there today, ordered ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Two hours later, here I am, crapping my guts out. Waitress seemed knowledgeable and assured me that my meal was gf. My gut says otherwise.
Not at all safe for Celiacs. My waiter really made it seem like they were knowledgeable and accommodating, but it was not true at all. I have never gotten so sick in my life. I didn’t eat out for months after this because I couldn’t trust any restaurant.
Ordered the gluten free Americana cheeseburger but unfortunately, it was glutened. The restaurant server and manager were very apologetic when I showed them the test result. They took it back, didn't charge me and even gave a gluten free Godiva cheesecake on the house. While the service was great, the burgers are still not a safe choice here
Waitress very helpful. I’m gluten free vegetarian... has the tamales as an appetizer and the gluten free primavera pasta for dinner. I asked the server about the pasta ( are you sure this is gluten free ) she responded that the GF pasta is always the rotini ( spirals ) that’s how they ensure it’s the right one ... the Godiva cheesecake is on the GF menu ... but I’m unsure about Godiva being gluten free.. waitress assured us it was ... but I skipped it. The Food was delicious !!!
Great options on menu, was surprised even a couple gluten free options for cheesecake if you are still hungry. I may try one next time and plan ahead for when we go back.
I've been here dozens of times and I always order the same thing, gluten free 4 cheese pasta. (Thankful not to have a dairy allergy). One time, a few years ago, it came out with the wrong noodles, which I noticed immediately, because they are a different shape than the gf spirals. They also quickly realized the mistake and the waitress and manager came running out to make sure I didn't eat it. They were proactive, sincerely apologized, made me a new one and didn't charge my husband and I for our meal, at their insistence. Very good customer service and they kept us as customers. It's smart of them to have a different shape for gf pasta, so I knew not to eat it!
After waiting almost an hour to get our food, my son started eating his GF pasta dish and found a piece of gluten pasta in it. The manager said “I’m sorry” and walked off. Will never eat here again after how we were treated - my son had even talked with our waitress extensively before ordering about him being a sensitive Celiac and could they please be extra careful 😳
