Pan Asian place, giant menu, GF not marked, they said many items could be made GF, like General Tso’s chicken, and Penang chicken curry. They said they get a lot of requests for GF which is good, and I believed he’d thought through that with a lot of dishes. In talking with the cashier he seemed to understand gluten and safe prep to avoid it. We did ok with the above items. They also have GF pho. He said they wash the wok with each item no matter if you order GF or not. The food is ok if you need a Chinese food fix. It’s not amazing. Probably depends on what you get. Probably the simpler the better cause it takes less modification. It’s nice that they will modify the menu items. Would rate it a 4.5
I've ordered here several times over the years and they are not careful about cross Contamination. I've been given tofu(not gluten free) in my penang dish instead of chicken I ordered. I reported it to them and was given chicken penang but with small piece of breaded chicken in it. I do not feel safe eating here.
I have silent gluten sensitivity (destroys my insides but I don't really feel it...) so it's somewhat hard to tell if cross contamination has happened but they are very knowledgeable about the needs involved with staying away from gluten, and will help you pick something from the menu that fits your allergies. They also allow for customization of their sushi so you're home free when it comes to sushi, as they also have gluten free soy sauce!
I’m celiac and I’ve eaten here at least 12 times. I’ve never had a reaction and I 100% trust the staff. They are always willing to point out the items that cannot be made gluten free such as the tempura. But, at leDt 75% of the menu can be made GF. The fried calamari is amazing and everything is always fresh and tasty. I love this place!!!!
This restaurant is NOT safe for celiacs. Staff is extremely careless and clueless about gluten free dishes. I had at least 3 staff encounters that lead me to the conclusion they had no knowledge about gluten free dishes. They claim "everything on the menu can be made gluten free". I was very sick following this meal and will not be returning. Not sure what it was in particular that made me sick but something was not at all gluten free. Typically I am not super sensitive but this meal had me miserable.
Very friendly and knowledgeable about what was gfree. I tried the Pad Thai and it was fabulous. Would definitely stop here again!
I couldn’t say no to trying this place after seeing all the incredible reviews on here. I heard that nearly everything on the menu could be made GF, so I asked the hostess if it was true. She confirmed and even helped me pick out some of the most popular GF items. She said her family is from Vietnam and believe in creating pan-Asian dishes from scratch. Most dishes here are GF because most Asian cooking traditional uses rice flour. I had the orange chicken and white rice. The chicken is fried with rice flour in a separate GF fryer. It was amazing! I hadn’t had a dish like that in forever. We has had winter rolls, which are a nice chunky roll with chicken in it.
I eventually told our server about this app so she could read through some of the reviews. They don’t have a separate gluten free menu because they value the traditional Asian ways of cooking without wheat. She didn’t even know that we gluten-free eaters were raving about their place on here! Definitely will return.
Delicious, safe Pan Asian restaurant with a beautiful view of a lake. I came here because of previous reviews, and was not disappointed. Servers were very well-informed on Gluten-free issues. Much of the menu is already gluten-free, and a lot of the rest can be converted as well. They also handled my other allergies and intolerances with ease. For an appetizer, I had deep-fried tofu (made in a dedicated gluten-free fryer) with a completely GF safe peanut sauce!!! My entrée was a Vegetable Pad Kee Mao with a Malaysian sauce. It was all so yummy, and I felt completely safe and comfortable eating here.
Great food and service. Much of the menu can be made Gluten free. The orange and sesame chicken can be made gluten free if you ask for rice flour instead of wheat flour. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, and they have gluten free soy sauce as well. As far as I could tell it was completely celiac friendly.
Any time I am anywhere near this place, I will go. Almost everything can be made with rice flour, and even though crab Rangoon isn't an item that can, the owner made me a special crab Rangoon roll with Krab, cream cheese. And rice crunchies. It was amazing. You can eat things you haven't had in years. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
excellent food and very friendly on pointing out items that are GF. Will be back for sure!
Ate here today and it was wonderful! They said they have a dedicated GF fryer as well as vegetarian fryer when we inquired. They immediately brought a bottle of Tamari to the table before we had even ordered! We General Tsos chicken - it was wonderful and not at all spicy. We had some sushi rolls - they were great as well. We had some fried rice paper rolls (Winter rolls I believe they were called) and they were delicious. Most of their dishes can be made GF and they seemed to clearly understand the issues. Hours later no reactions, so we couldn’t be happier! Highly recommended and we will be back.
My absolute favorite restaurant since finding out I'm Celiac. They can do anything on their pan-Asian menu gf, from general Tso's chicken to sushi tempura to pad thai to Vietnamese pho. All their fried food is gf so there's no worry of cross contamination. Plus it had the most amazing view, being right on Biven's Lake.
GF General Tso chicken, awesome! they use corn and soy flout for the breading
almost anything on the menu could be made gluten free. there were plenty of options. the service and taste of food was mediocre. not great but not terrible.
They can make almost anything on the menu Gluten Free with some exceptions, but they let you know. Just ask. Love them!
