Not a gluten free place. Chips are not safe to eat :( I still end up going to have a few drinks with friends.
I live in Austin where this company started. I love Chuy's. Believe me if it were safe to eat there I would. If you are Celiac don't risk it! According to Austin managers (at 3 locations), ALL the meat is BEER MARINATED. All except the boiled Chicken. The one dish I was told was safe for me to eat was just about flavorless:(

I feel like this is not the same place as the other reviews but I know it is. The general manager told me it's not safe for Celiacs or Gluten Sensitive at all. They make their corn and flour tortillas at the same station so everything is cross contaminated! No separate fryer or separate anything. Meats are iffy on seasoning. We ended up leaving because they were so adamant that there was nothing safe. I was glad they were honest but it seemed weird in a kitchen that big nothing was safe and everything was shared.

Manager and staff educated and helpful. They will make you a fresh batch of chips in clean grease!!

Chuy's does not have a gluten free menu, but there are options. Ask to speak to a manager. They are very knowledgable and prioritize you as a customer. Every location has different options. Jus ask.

I had a great experience at Chuy’s with their awareness to Celiac disease and their ability to make sure everything was safe for me to eat. The General Manager, Bentley, was awesome and I would highly recommend requesting him to talk to when you go in!!

I loved this place before Celiac diagnosis. I was told they marinate meat in beer. Not gf friendly! I brought my own chips and had guac. and hot sauce.

Called ahead and discussed gf options Was offered a gf menu at host stand. No meat sub guacamole. There aren’t many options to choose from which is why they get a low rating. Service great, atmosphere great. I had to go for food after

Separate GF menu. I had enchiladas on corn tortillas with one of the safe sauces plus a crunchy taco. It was delicious and staff was knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience at Chuy’s. The manager and majority of the staff were very knowledgeable on what items are gluten free items! Their chips are made in a dedicated fryer. And corn tortillas are gluten free. Staff was so kind to let me know all the gluten free sauces that were options. Their fajita meat is not gluten free. I had the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas and they were delicious. No cross contamination and I feel great after my meal. I’m making Chuy’s my permanent Mexican food spot in OKC!
