Recently went and was impressed that a newer waiter was very well informed of protocol. The servers from the kitchen verified everything automatically when they served us. They have separate pots to boil GF pasta in also! There was mention of dedicated fryer and whole new area for GF due to number of GF customers. Hope someone updates if this is true!
We love coming here. They have warmed gf bread when you sit at the table. They also have a pretty decently sized gf menu. They also do chocolate truffles for your birthday/special event and they are gluten free and delicious! I’ve eaten here several times and haven’t had any issues (I’m a very sensitive celiac) and I’ve had celiac family member also eat here without issue as well
Loved Coopers Hawk before my diagnosis and was pleased returning for first time. Had a few options, but our server was very knowledgeable and quick to ask the kitchen for the one thing she was unsure. Kitchen made a mistake on my salad (put croutons on it) and she quickly intercepted it as soon as the runner set it on the table - quickly bringing a new one. Will miss the pretzel bread (gf roll was ok).
The food is always good and they are the only place I have ever been that has a gf bread course, but the kitchen is careless. We have eaten there a dozen times (because the food is always good) but have needed to send it back approximately 8 times due to prep issues (like piling traditional breaded onion rings on top of a steak). They always try to make it right when they mess up, but you need to be on your toes.
So many GF options! Our server was very observant and conscientious. He noticed my son’s GF menu and asked: “are you celiac or ?….” My son loved the warm gluten free bread and enjoyed his entree. We bought him the flourless chocolate torte to have later and I expect it will be delicious. The rest of the non-GF family enjoyed their meals as well.
Cooper's Hawk is a full experience even for me who has celiac disease! It starts out in the fantastic wine room where diners are treated to a wine tasting. Following the tasting, peruse the gluten free menu including starters, proteins, sauces, sides, and desserts. The dining room is beautiful, well appointed, and the service is perfect.
Service was good. Love the warm gluten free bread. Server was conscientious.
The waitress knew that they “take it very seriously” and couldn’t explain more. He came out right away and let us know they change gloves, have a dedicated grill and utensils, Mark the food, and have specific people that are allowed to handle the food. And the gf bread they bring us soooooo good!
The staff was very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions I had. They have a separate gluten free menu which is so helpful.
Edited: Sexmcond visit was horrible and I wont eat there anymore. The server seemed annoyed with my questions & needs, was not very careful when serving mixed meals (mine was the only GF meal, yet it was trayed with everything else) and didnt even remember who at the table ordered GF. She even gave me regular bread! I was ill before we even left the restaurant. It was a long ride home to the Madison area, and I was sick from glutening for days. Previous review from first visit: Excellent service!! Celiac friendly! Fresh, delicious GF bread!! A new area favorite!!
Amazing place, excellent GF menu, knowledgeable and courteous and helpful servers! Food is delicious - tears came to my eyes my first time there when the server explained their so-very-safe-for-celiacs preparing and serving food process! Highly recommend!
I absolutely love this place! They have a full separate gluten free menu with apps, meals, and dessert! They take great precaution when cooking too. They offer a gluten free drinks menu on top of the wine, but I wouldn't recommend their speciality cocktails just because it lists some liquors that I don't trust. I typically don't trust bar drinks though. The food they serve is safe and delicious!
I thoroughly enjoyed eating at Coopers Hawk in Brookfield last night! I had a FULL menu to choose from, including a few app choices, many main dishes, and a few dessert options...not to mention the ability to eat bread at the same time as my non-gf wife! Food and wine were great.
Their food is fantastic! Lots of gluten free options!
Best GF menu in a very long time. very extensive and so far beyond, "lettuce is GF." They have an "allergy ticket" ordering process to ensure no cross contamination. Chicken carbonara is fantastic! If you are near Milwaukee, go there.
Lots of delicious options. Free GF bread appetizer is a bonus too.
Excellent menu! I had Parmesan crusted chicken. There were a lot of great choices but I had to choose the chicken because it's really hard to find breaded chicken that is gf! I will definitely be back!
Gluten free menu. Had the short rib risotto. Amazing taste and flavor. The server brought out gf bread as well. The wine choices are also extensive. A little pricey but will definitely be back. No symptoms of cross contamination either
I was so happy when the waitress handed me the GF menu. It was bound in a leather holder like the other menus & had lots of options. I hate those dirty, stained one-sheet menus with three items. I was surprised again when the waitress brought me a GF roll with the other bread (on a separate plate of course). It was nice to be treated to a normal dining experience. I ordered the short rib risotto (after taking my lactose pill) found the dish amazing!! Wow! I ordered the barbera wine, also amazing. The best parts of my experience is that I didn't get sick or have any symptoms the next day ( I'm really sensitive) & the experience & food were "normal." I didn't feel like a leper.
Great place for celiacs! Thanks for being so aware of our needs
Fun and interesting! Has a good gf menu and even kids can go.
Excellent dedicated menu for GF. One of the best I've seen, numerous choices. Food was very good, loved this place.
Lots of great choices from salmon to risotto and burgers. I have enjoyed my meals there and the fresh bread bun is a perk not usually found. Service is excellent for a nice evening out.
I ordered from here via UberEats because they have a clearly marked gluten free menu with lots to choose from. I waited 70 min for it to be delivered and paid $$$ for the meal. I got the butternut squash pasta and it arrived with crispy onions all over the top which I called the restaurant to confirm does contain gluten so I was unable to eat my meal. Not to mention the “cream sauce” was pretty much soup. The manager told me they take allergens very seriously… apparently not since the menu item is literally from a gf menu AND I put it in the notes. I have pretty much stopped eating out because of experiences like this, it’s super frustrating and dangerous!
I had dinner there with a friend. Booked on OpenTable. They had a separate GF menu, the server was knowledgeable. My friend was eating the pretzel bread dinner bread loaf, and the server asked if I wanted GF bread. No extra charge for any of their GF options. I had the Dana's Parmesan-Crusted Chicken ($25.99) Tomato Basil Relish, Lemon Butter, Mary’s Potatoes, Garlic Green Beans. So good!
The food and service were great! The food was safe and I didn’t get sick.
