We are GF, and this staff was very knowledgeable. Chef brought out our steaks and assured us everything was prepared as gluten free. Everyone was extremely nice. We look forward to going back.
Delayed review - was there a couple of weeks ago. All I can say is: YES PLEASE!! I have celiac disease. Firebirds not only has a gluten free menu, but they have: Great food (had a strawberry & spinach salad with shrimp) Great service Great treatment of special needs - A manager and wait staff walked my food out together to be sure it didn’t get switched, glutened, etc. Thank you Firebirds for helping to keep my safe! Oh! And my non-gluten free friend had the exact same salad and loved it too.
Knowledgeable staff. Great service. Great food. I will be back.
I ordered food to go. They had a pretty decent size gluten free menu. They brought my food and explained it was all gluten free and handled correctly. The experience was wonderful, as well as the food!!
They have a separate gf menu. I had the sirloin vegetable kabobs. The manager brought it out and said the staff changed their gloves and cleaned the grill for my food. The steak was very tender and good. I also loved the golden Yukon mashed potatoes.
The food was amazing. I believe they they served my husband and I the best streak we have ever eaten. I was very impressed with the friendly service. Starting with the hostess, to our server, and the manager who checked on me because of my gluten allergy, the people were great. They offered a wide range of food on the gluten free menu and answered all questions that I had.
Food and service exceptional.
Expensive but a nice GF option. They have a separate GF menu.
Went for the first time as a family, the food was lovely and the service excellent. Plenty of choices on the gf menu. My only sad moment was when I asked if they had gf dessert and they only had icecream and fruit, but definitely not a deal breaker.
The restaurant has a GF menu. I asked for help from the server to try to get a completely GF meal. I ordered a plain NY Strip steak and plain baked potato. I still got a minor reaction from the meal. Probably a cross contamination issue since the steak and potato were defiantly plain. I cannot recommend as safe.
Ate there last night. They have quite a large gluten free menu. Several salads, entrees and sides that are gluten free. I got the steak kabob with vegetables. It was delicious. I will definitely go back to try other options. Nice inside atmosphere and also outside seating.
Separate gluten free menu. Food is cooked on dedicated gluten free area. Waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten sensitivity. The on duty manager is responsible for bringing out the gluten free portion and assuring you that they handled it carefully. And the food is incredible!
Has a gluten free menu and the server was very knowledgable. The quality of food was great without having to go downtown.
In the past 2 months, my husband, son and I have eaten here 3 times. First 2 times I had the same meal (prime rib and loaded baked potato) and on NYE I had the filet, shrimp and loaded baked potato. The first two times, my stomach was bothering me the next morning. On NYE, I barely made it home before needing the facilities. I don't have the typical gut reaction to gluten, but having been GF for several years now, it must affect me differently. My son, also Celiac, had an upset tummy the next day all 3 times. Sad, because there's some delicious options, but I won't be returning.
Gluten-free menu available upon request. Shared kitchen space but a nice size menu with multiple entrees and salads as well as kids options. Soups are only gluten-free on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays which was kind of disappointing but I really appreciate the large menu selection and the good attitude of the staff to accommodate.
I had an excellent experience here. I checked the website before I went and they didn't have a GF menu posted so I called ahead and they assured me that they do have a written menu and are very careful. At time of posting this, I see that the menu is now posted. My server was very respectful and quickly brought me the GF menu and said she could have the manager answer any questions. She did not make me feel that I was asking a lot of her or the restaurant (which so many people do) to accommodate my diet. The manager personally delivers the food of anyone with dietary restrictions at Firebirds. The manager on duty at that time was very thorough in explaining all the precautions that had been taken and left me feeling very confident that my food was safe so I could have a relaxing evening out with my friends. The food was delicious and the GF selection is large. This is a great place for a date or for meeting up with a group where you can feel safe and you and your dining companions also have a ton of delicious options and cool ambiance. I definitely recommend it!
the food was amazing and so was the service. Orrin was a great server and nade sure everything was gluten free. We are just passing threw but will be stopping here again in our travels.
Firebird's has a wonderful gluten free menu! Their steaks and salads are excellent, and so is the dessert! I've been here several times and have never had a reaction to the food. We've always had such wonderful waiters, and everyone there has always been knowledge about gluten allergies. This is one of my favorite places!
The restaurant has a gluten free menu with prices on it, and they have several procedures in place to minimize risk of gluten contamination. First, the manager will come to the table and talk to you. He told us the only items on the gf menu are the ones that require no alterations, so I should ask about anything on the menu because sometimes accommodations can be made (e.g. Cesar Salad without croutons). The manager alerts the kitchen staff so any dishes will be made with fresh utensils and gloves. Finally, a manager or the chef will take the order to your table. That put my mind at ease. And the food was excellent! We had the seared Ahi tuna as an entree. They left off the spicy mustard, which contains flour, and gave us gf honey mustard instead. I ordered a very filling salad off the gf menu. I even ordered the flourless chocolate cake for dessert. You won't want to share, but you probably should!
Best steak in town. Good gluten free options and attentiveness to allergy issues.
They understand the difference between celiac and just gluten free. The manager came out and talked to me. Not a huge GF menu but they really get it. I'd go back. Good food.
We enjoyed delicious GF ribs and two slices of GF chocolate cake the other night and it was all delicious. The ribs did not have a carolina style sauce on them (as I prefer) but were good nevertheless. The cake was very rich and two slices is plenty for four people. I picked up my food from the bar in quality serving trays and no one got sick. Very happy and will go again.
This restaurant had an entire gluten free menu with many choices of food. There was a full range of options including Appetizers? Main courses, side dishes, sauces, and deserts that were guaranteed gluten free. Their flourless chocolate cake was killer!
Shrimp and strawberry salad was very good! Waiter asked if it was alright to bring bread to the table for the non-celiacs. I like when they ask if it's okay. Ordered prime rib with mixed veges and it was very tasty. Dedicated gf menu. WARNING: address is correct, but the directions are incorrect. Brought us 15 min away from location and gps kept changing the address when entered.
On both our past 2 visits, 2 of my kids' GF meals came with a package of Oreos on the plate. While we were able to remove them, I have to wonder how seriously they take GF? The chef, the manager that brought it, and the server ALL missed it as they presented "kids Gluten-free meal." Both times. 4 plates. Tempted/disappointed kids. Otherwise a good experience.
While not a large g-f menu, the staff here take gluten-free and food allergies very seriously. Brooke, one of the managers, and Dan, our waitstaff, caught an issue before it reached the table. Great group of people here.
While they have a gluten free menu, if it's not cooked right there is no point. I am highly sensitive, the smallest amount will make me sick. After explaining how I needed my food cooked and being reassured it would be safe, I proceeded to watch the server and manager converse and look at me like I was a nuisance. That should of been my warning. Sick for days after eating there.
For a person that is allergic to wheat, soy and peanuts, they get it right every time I come! The manager has even come back after looking up a salad dressing to report that it had soy! Kudos to a restaurant that wants to get it right. I will keep coming here. It is a SAFE place to eat!
