I will admit that I was terrified I was going to be sick here after watching them prep all of the non-GF pizzas and seeing how much flour is flying around. My pizza was prepped in the back and came out separately, and I did not end up sick! The crust was delicious and the pizza was actually a full sized pizza. Waiter was able to answer questions about whether certain sauces and toppings were gluten free

Great for gf and vegan!!! The gf crust is made in separate kitchen area and then cooked completely covered in aluminum foil to avoid cross contamination. Delicious, fire oven baked style crust. Servers are great about making sure your pizza is kept separate and many options for toppings. Vegan cheese is good. Also, try the gf v dessert!!! A luscious chocolate torte!

Updated review: A little over a year later, I couldn't wait to get back to this place! Unfortunately, it let me down big time. Service is everything, and our server dropped the ball. I mentioned that I had to eat GF, and noted that I didn't get sick eating there before. I ordered my personal pizza GF, and the rest of the fam had their pizzas. Mine came out burnt and covered in burnt flour. I lifted it and could see that it was cooked directly in the oven. I called our server over and asked how it was cooked and she said it was prepared and cooked with the other pizzas... then she asked if my order was "allergy". Yes, I have to eat GF... not an option here. Anyways, if you go here be very clear and request safety precautions. They will prepare your pizza in another room and wrap it in foil to place in the oven, then use other slicers to cut it. Still not super safe but I didn't get sick...

This was a huge disappointment. Drove all the way out here because of the great reviews. Our server informed us they can cook my GF pizza on foil, but said there is flour flying all over back there so if cross contact is an issue, it’s not going to work for me.

Like everyone else, this place blew me away! It tasted like REGULAR PIZZA!!! They knew exactly what to do and I didn’t need to explain a dang thing. They prep GF pizza in a separate area, and cook it *completely* wrapped in foil. I got the caramelized onion pizza (add bacon) and my husband got the kalua pork and they were both super delicious.

As a celiac, I tend to avoid pizza for fear of cross contact but this place made me feel extremely confident in their GF kitchen protocol. They wrapped our pizzas in foil (we say them go into the oven from our table) and assured us that they are cut with different utensils and kept completely separate. $7 is the extra for a small pizza seems like a steep charge but it was well worth it to enjoy pizza again 😋

Really cool wood fired pizza with super friendly staff. My daughter had a gf crust that was delicious. They prepared it separately and made sure it had a foil base in the oven. She said the crust was delicious. The regular pizzas were unique and yummy as well! And the mai tai was great.;)

Stopped here for a quick bite. Get there when it opens if you can, otherwise expect a wait. I ordered the Jay’s Heart style. The house made sauce was flavored very well with the right amount of herbs and salt, lots of cheese so it was nice to have a cheesy pizza! The crust is a cauliflower base crust but you wouldn’t be able to tell! They put it on foil and prep in the back and then cook it in the pizza oven, and cut it with its own gf cutter. It was the best pizza I’ve ever eaten as a celiac! Also, I wanted to note that it reheated well! The inner crust wasn’t soggy or mushy at all and was still delicious.

Knowledge server and a delicious GF vegan crust for an additional $7. I had the Mopsy’s Kalyan’s Pork which used GF only soy and other products and a salad. All quite delicious. All toppings seem to be GF as well. Shared oven may make it dicey for celiacs.

Always super friendly wait staff! However, do not eat here if you have celiacs... they said it would be safe but I had a severe allergic reaction twice (I was stupid enough to do it again) and was sick for days (I have a wheat allergy on top of celiacs). Now whenever I go there with friends and family I just have a glass of rosé 😂

Amazing ambience and great flatbread. They have 2 different kinds of gluten free crusts - one has honey and the other one is vegan. I had the vegan one. We ordered 2 different pizzas each time and ate their twice. Tested it with Nima and came back gluten free. They know about cross contamination and their gluten free kitchen area is completely separate. However, they have only one wood fired oven but take precautions and place gluten free pizzas on a foil. That takes care of cross contamination. And proven by Nima. Happy to find this place. Also, my wife is vegan and they let us buy vegan cheese from outside (they don’t carry it) for our pizzas. Very accommodating. Do try their house Cabernet. It’s worth the $14/glass. Gluten free crust is $7 extra but so much worth it. Would go back here again if I’m here again.

Celiac friendly?

Great pizza, even by non-gluten free standards. Only caveat is that gluten free crust is an extra $7, but I genuinely thought it was worth it. Staff knowledgeable about celiac, and specifically assured me that the pizza was prepared separately from the other pizzas to minimize cross-contamination. Also had salada and ciders.

Waiter was knowledgeable on celiac. They prep it on a separate surface and cook it on foil in the oven to avoid cross contamination. Biggest thing for me was the taste of the pizza was so good. Most restaurants that have GF crust undercook or overcook it. But these folks got it perfect on all 3 GF pizzas! Their ingredients are all fantastic as well. Best pizza over had since being diagnosed.

Only downside was cost. $110 for 4 pizzas and 1 mixed drink. But hey, you're on vacation in Maui, so sticker shock is common.

I get really nervous about pizza because there’s so much room for cross contact but server explained that they prep the pizzas in a separate area and they are cooked above the gluten free pizzas on individual pans and they use dedicated tools. I did not have any reaction and pizza was really good (and nice to have a full size pie even if a small upcharge from the regular dough). Had a salad here too that was very fresh. Would recommend.
