Had gf options on the menu but server was not aware of cross contact or knew what was in the chicken marinade for example. Ended up just getting regular entree chicken with brown rice and side kale salad without the breadcrumbs. I think the parmesion cheese on it must have gotten some of the breadcrumbs in it on the line when they are making it because I got sick shortly after
Many GF options but not a GF kitchen. The first time I went, they said they were able to make the Tofu and GF dishes celiac friendly. I left feeling ok, some mild cramping following.
We decided to try it again and I had a complete autoimmune reaction from the Tofu with Chopped Salad and wine although they said it was all GF and could be made celiac safe.
Stopped here when passing thru Charlotte for GF lunch with our celiac daughter. Tons of options and the kids meals were healthy with several options (including GF mac n cheese). There were MANY GF options on their menu. We would be regulars here if we lived in the area. Quality of the food was excellent and prices were very reasonable.
They are knowledgeable and helpful. Their glow bowl and tacco salad are one of my favorites.
Honestly this was one of the best places in charlotte I’ve eaten at so far. The food is clearly labeled what is gf, vegan, and vegetarian and I felt safe eating all of it. There are many options (including gf Mac and cheese) and yummy drinks! I have a few other allergies (fodmap) and it was easy to order around it! Anyone with any intolerances should totally come here!
Fantastic options for just about any allergy. Most of the family is gluten free, three different entrees were ordered with salmon or chicken added. In addition we got three sides and only stopped there for fear we would have ordered too much food. Even have gluten free cookies and lemon cakes.
Flower child is amazing about any type of allergy! I have celiac as well as a very sensitive soy sensitivity and I have never had an issue any time eating there! One of my favorite places in Charlotte
A cute breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. It tends to be crowded but has good food and they are friendly to those with allergies. They offer lots of healthy options and were accommodating to everyone. It’s a little pricey for what you get but it is a trendy spot in south end so not too surprised by that
Many gluten free items on the menu and awareness of allergy and celiac procedures. It is a shared space but I’ve never had any issues at a Flower Child location. This location is new but at their grand opening appears to be following similar procedures and I had a great meal. In the end, I think Flower Child is a good option because they have awareness of celiac procedures and that there are fewer opportunities for cross contamination in their kitchen due to their abundance of gluten free menu options.
