Overall I did not get sick, but food was average, service was ok, but the restaurant itself needed a little better upkeep. I got a burger (no bun) and fries and a margarita. We also ordered chips and salsa. I would not go back bc of the poor service and overall look of the restaurant( dirty bathrooms, no A/C, etc)
I love Margaritaville. The food is excellent, and they even have a dedicated GF fryer, so I am able to eat fries!! Lots of good GF choices. The waitstaff is very considerate. They aren't allowed to bring GF food out on the same tray as the regular food. It is always kept separate. There aren't a lot of safe GF places to eat in the Riverwalk, so I actually ate here twice. Plus, the music is good too!!
A lot of GF options. Burgers served with GF bred and they have dedicated space to prepare the gf food. It was delicious.
Ate there twice while in San Antonio. This is one the Rive Walk. I was leery since one had reviewed it, but with a dedicated fryer, it was worth a shot. Spoke to the cook, both times, and was assured my food would be gf. They even brought my food out separately! I have the ‘Cheeseburger in Paradise’ without the bun, but it was still delicious. They do have a dedicated fryer, & the fries were yummy! Just be sure to speak with the cook, and note the wheat symbol on the menu for the gf options. ❤
I have always wanted to try Margaritaville, mostly for the experience. The experience of the restaurant it’s self is about all that I can really compliment.
The host that sat us was sort of rude (we made reservations and were maybe 5 minutes late due to traffic and us obviously being tourists not knowing the area). Our server definitely either lacked people skills or was just over his job.
There isn’t a whole lot on the menu that’s gluten free. You can either choose a burger or a salad. The food took at least 45 minutes to come out from the time we ordered. My burger was mediocre, with your typical dry and crumbly bun. I had French fries and had no reaction. For the amount of our bill, it definitely wasn’t worth the price food wise.
At least I can say that I had a margarita at Margaritaville 😂 (they’re very skimpy on the alcohol also)
We are here this evening and were very pleased with the dining experience. They have gluten free hamburger buns, dedicated fryers for French fries and some salads marked on the menu that can be made gluten free. We manage multiple food allergies and the manager was very accommodating and took pictures of some food labels so we could read them.
asked the restaurant for a gluten-free burger because I am celiac, and they confirmed it was fine. My family ordered other fried items. When the plates arrived, the chef personally brought mine and assured me it was gluten-free.
About 15 minutes after finishing my meal and leaving the restaurant, I started having severe intestinal pain. I spent the entire following night curled up in agony.
Was it the fries?! Whatever the cause, I won’t be going back.
