Loved it! Had the gluten-free rigatoni with white clam sauce and was delicious, enough for two meals. My other guest had an allergy to tomatoes, and when we ordered the spinach and artichoke dip, it had tomatoes in it. He brought the chef out, who created for her a wonderful, sweet ricotta dip, and was very attentive to our allergies. I’ll be back!
This is the second Maggiano’s I have eaten at in the last 2 months and while my experience was great in Philadelphia, it was even better in Bridgewater. On a busy Saturday night, the lead chef came out to speak with me and told me he would personally be preparing my food. He asked for my order ahead of time so that when it was placed with the waiter, he would already know what I needed. GF pasta is cooked in separate space and all the meat dishes can be made with no breading on a separate grill. The sauces and salad dressings are gluten free as well - the only area that’s lacking is their appetizers as none can be made gluten free, but I just got a bigger salad. Our food took a bit of time to come out because that particular chef was preparing it, but I absolutely didn’t mind at all and it was delicious. All of the wait staff we encountered knew the protocol and they announced the “allergy” meal when they came out. It feels awesome to be able to eat out at a place I would frequent before my diagnosis and we will definitely be back soon!
I ordered a caprese salad and entree after the chef came out and spoke with me about how they could accommodate someone with celiac. The caprese salad came back cross contaminated after using my Nima gluten sensor but the entree was safe and tested gluten free. They stated the salads are prepared around other gluten ingredients and the entree was separate so my review is great for the entree and poor for my salad. I'll go again but am not totally confident it's celiac friendly so I'll bring my gluten tester to be sure. The staff seemed to really care and take interest in making the accommodations as well which made me feel comfortable.
Absolutely delicious. Chef came to table and offered to prepare 80% of the menu gluten free - not just pastas, all the main courses. Only thing couldn't modify to gluten free was desserts. Speaking of desserts- the creme brûlée was gluten free and it was outstanding, probably the best tasting I have EVER had. The food here is fresh, cooked to order, the staff is friendly, GF knowledgeable, and everything we had was so tasty. BTW they will accommodate many food allergies, ie. eggs, milk, nuts etc. Highly recommend this place even if you have to drive a little while to get there because it is so worth it.
Wow awesome place !!!! food was the best and chef came out and talk to us about our needs to make sure we were comfortable . Service was great and manger Scott was also great I never been to a place that took care of allergy people before like here !!! I hope they keep it up !!!!!!!!
Have eaten here several times and pleased with no reaction later. Chef comes out to speak to you first and provides options. Seem very knowledgeable about cross-contamination.
Went last night and had a horrible experience. After following their protocol and speaking to the chef, they apparently mixed up my dish with my daughter's. They looked similar so after they were served I asked if the server was sure. He said yes he double checked. But no...he mixed up the dishes and I am now paying for it. Will never eat there again.
All of their sauces are gluten free so just about any pasta dish on the menu can be served with their gluten free penne.
a chef will come to the table to disdcuss gf options, but they are not that happy about it. they have gf pasta but not much else. keep asking for what you want, I did have a great piece of grilled salmon on spinach after a long conversation with the chef one time. as always, make sure you have a conversation about your situation and confirm when your food comes out.
They did offer gluten free pasta BUT were not willing to make me grilled chicken to have a protein option. So I was limited to pasta with tomato sauce and that was it! My daughter asked for no orzo with her salmon and it came out with the salmon on the pasta! Don't plan in returning
have eaten gf here often. they are very careful and a chef comes out to review your gf order every time.
Server was knowledgeable. Clearly explained how most of the menu could be modified and what parts couldn’t. After ordering, they asked if I was worried about cross contamination. Suggested I substitute the potato side as they’re usually done in a shared fryer. Was worried when my order showed up with potatoes. They made my order right and the Chef came out and explained everything had been cooked separately in a clean pan. The potatoes would have been fine.
Have also door dashed pasta several times without issue.
I was here on a date a week ago and the waitress immediately asked about allergies. When I told her the chef personally came out and explained all the items on the menu that were gf. (Pasta and a lot of sauces as well as many other things). The variety was great and he even explained what the pasta blend was made out of. I felt so safe there and I could tell they took it seriously. Got the vodka pasta and it was one of the best gf pastas I’ve tried!! Highly recommend
Hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had. The waitress and the chef were both very knowledgeable and accommodating. I have a severe gluten allergy and celiac disease and I easily get sick. Not only did I not get sick, the dinner was delicious with fresh baked gf bread. Everything was yummy and it didn’t hurt my tummy!!! Def going back again!!!
