I went here two days in a row, it had good reviews for celiac and it was close to my work conference. The first day I was so impressed and not sick. The second day I ordered GF again, it came out with GF flags. But I am up sick from gluten, and I usually am not sensitive to CC, so I am wondering if all of my pasta was not gf.
I got a plain, GF spaghetti dish with butter and cheese, and while I personally did not enjoy the food, the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. - My favorite part was the little flag stating "GLUTEN FREE" they had on my food when they brought it out. 💕
Wonderful pasta! There's no up charge for gluten free noodles. My daughter and I get sick from the smallest contamination and we were fine after eating here. Knowledgable staff, very friendly, and would definitely come here again. Only thing that would make it better was if there was a replacement for the gluten filled bread.
No more gluten free tiramisu 😭 obviously the reason i came (the distributor stopped selling gf lady fingers and they couldn't find them anywhere else) but the staff were all super knowledgeable and friendly. The food was pretty awesome, so i will still come back and recommend to others.
I had a great meal, and loved how much my server and the rest of the staff knew about gluten free. I had to make sure it’s known, though - the gluten free tiramisu is no more!! I’m so sad!!!! I was so excited to have tiramisu again, and was so disappointed when the server told me that it is no more.
The food was AMAZING, and the pasta is just as delicious as promised. Most things can be made GF. I had linguine piccata, which had chicken, and I did not get sick. They have two types of pasta and serve the gluten free dishes with little flags so everyone knows to be careful. The one problem is that there are no marks on the menu showing what they can do without gluten, and no gluten free menu, so deciding is a bit of a pain. But the actual service and food was excellent!
This was my second-favorite restaurant while visiting the Portland area. The service was good and the staff knowledgeable. It made me feel extra-safe that my gluten-free orders came with a little gluten-free flag, as I didn't have to double-check whether my food had been made gluten-free. The prices were on the higher end, but the deliciousness of the mac and cheese, rigatoni zuccati, and gluten-free tiramisu justified the cost. I recommend!
My favorite place to get GF pasta, the vegan and gluten free options are amazing including the salads! They even have a gluten free tiramisu (not vegan contains dairy) but I tried it anyways and its amazing. Never gotten sick from here its definately on my safe list!
Excellent food. They can do a gluten free pasta but cross contamination could be an issue with pasta. I chose a wonderful salad and grilled veggies. It was delicious. They cooked everything in separate pans to ensure it was safe.
I have Celiac and ate lunch here. The waitress said I could eat here but about 20 min after lunch, I didn't feel well. I had the worst gluten reaction I've had since I was diagnosed 2.5 years ago. I will not eat at another Pastini again and do NOT recommend for Celiacs.
Favorite stop for dinner with family. Nice formal setting for special dinner, but still casual. GF options are very good including potato vodkas, and they do a good job on gf pasta. And to tie it off, gf tiramisu. yum.
Great food and awesome service! I have been celiac for five years and I have never had gluten free pasta this good, plus the gluten free tiramisu was amazing! One top of that the waitress was extremely helpful, quick, and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant!
They have a lot of options for gluten free although, like most restaurants, they include a liability clause saying they can't guarantee any dish to be completely gluten free. I had the gluten free spaghetti and basil pesto which was awesone. Not the best gluten free pasta I've ever had, was a bit gummy, but the pesto was great. I think the key with this restaurant is to be very clear about how you need your food prepared. I asked if they could cook the pasta in clean water and a pan and clean utensils and no bread and I didn't get sick. Maybe I got lucky? But I hope they open one of these in California soon.
First off- it is celiac safe and for that I give it two stars. Okay, it's on 23rd, nice to have a safe reliable option, but being Italian, it wasn't very good and reminded me of Olive Garden. For those of you looking for good pasta to make at home, try Jovial brown rice pasta, closest one I can find to real pasta-and non gf folks cannot tell the difference. The marinara sauce was little bland- I say try maybe Alfredo sauce or something else. Overall-just eh and okay I suppose.
My waitress wasn't that attentive to my son and I being GF. The pasta was good. We ordered a salad and mine came out with bread even when I specifically said GF no croutons or bread. I sent it back and they brought a new one out. But by the time a new one was out it was entree time.
Excellent gf pasta dishes! The staff demonstrated they were familiar with gf & were happy to accommodate me. They use separate pots & have dedicated gf utensils. I have celiac & did not have any symptoms after eating there. Highly recommend it!
