We stopped in for a weekend lunch recently and had great service with a knowledgeable server. I normally would have gotten pasta since they've done a great job making Celiac-safe pasta for me before, but the grilled asparagus salad with chicken sounded good in the moment. It was okay, but definitely not fresh lettuce and the chicken and asparagus were both cold. I'll go back to their bistro salad next time (or GF pasta.) No reaction afterward.
They offer gluten-free pasta options (spaghetti and one other I don't remember) for their pasta dishes. The server let me know that there would be no cross-contamination when I let them know that I have celiac. The dish was labeled "gluten free" when it was served to me, my assumption being that they used that label throughout the preparation process. I got the carbonara and a zero-proof cocktail. Everything tasted good!
I had lunch and dinner here. They don't mark GF items on the menu, but several items can be made GF by subbing GF pasta. When I asked I was told they do cook GF pasta seperately, use seperate clean utensils, etc. I felt very safe eating there. Food was very good and there was no upcharge for GF pasta when I had lunch there.
They have gluten free linguine and ziti, cooked in separate water. You cannot get the meatballs, but they do have other proteins available. No lasagna or baked ziti, either.
My bigger challenge was the cheese, because I’m dairy free but still strongly prefer cheeze for my Italian dishes. They did have a large selection of vegetarian offerings that could be made vegan if you hold the cheese. Our server pointed out some dishes that she said worked well for the dairy free crowd.
I settled on a broccolini ziti dish with olive oil, garlic, and hazelnuts and herbs, and added on some grilled chicken. The ziti was soggy and difficult to scoop up because it was covered in oil. The toppings were tasty. The chicken was good.
If your only challenge is gluten, this will probably be fine. I found the experience somewhere between disappointing and acceptable, and probably won’t return.
Had a great experience here! I’ve wanted to try it for a while but was skeptical because there’s always a risk of cross contamination when visiting a restaurant that serves “normal” pasta. But I’m so glad I tried it! The servers are very knowledgeable and ours helped me to find a dish that would be safe. They can make most of their dishes GF. They were very careful and my food was flagged gluten free when it came out. I have not had a reaction and I would have by now if I was going to. So I say it was a successful endeavor!
Very clean. Nice atmosphere. Great service! Have two choices for any pasta meal to be gf. Delicious!
I went here two days in a row, it had good reviews for celiac and it was close to my work conference. The first day I was so impressed and not sick. The second day I ordered GF again, it came out with GF flags. But I am up sick from gluten, and I usually am not sensitive to CC, so I am wondering if all of my pasta was not gf.
How can no one have posted a photo of gluten free tiramisu! Oh yum! Dinner was also fantastic
excellent food, good prices and friendly knowledge staff. I had pasta with chicken, artichoke, and peppers in a creamy pesto. ..yum! only thing that could have made it better is if they had gf bread.
This place is amazing!!! I mean, absolutely amazing! I have never had such exceptional food, especially considering it is gluten free! You MUST eat here! You won't be sorry!! I would give 20 stars if I could!
I went twice while in town for 5 days. Great pasta and great service.
Wonderful pasta! There's no up charge for gluten free noodles. My daughter and I get sick from the smallest contamination and we were fine after eating here. Knowledgable staff, very friendly, and would definitely come here again. Only thing that would make it better was if there was a replacement for the gluten filled bread.
The staff is knowledgeable & friendly. They have local & seasonal food. They now have 2 types of GF noodles. This is a win win for GF & non-GF guests in a party.
Almost all of their main dishes can be made with GF noodles, and many can be made vegan as well. The waitress and seating hostess were both extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. When I asked if the soup of the day has gluten, they said no but that it had been prepared in the morning on the same kitchen where they were baking and cutting bread, so she advised me against it.
Not only did I feel safe eating here, it was DELICIOUS. I had the pasta primavera, awesome flavor, crisp veggies.
They were very attentive and our pasta came out with a marker stating gluten free! The owner is gluten free so that made us feel a little better. They said they change gloves, wash the pot they cook the gluten free pasta in and get new water. The pasta was delicious. We didn't get sick but there is risk of cross contamination.
